  1. The problem is with today's NBA.  Every team runs the same offense.  There are no iso post ups anymore.  Every offense is designed to create an open 3 or a drive to the lane.  The result is a poor product, IMO.

I would love to see our offense run through the post with Sap and Howard.  But apparently the analytics nerds have taken over, the big man is dead.

    RIP basketball.

  2. Congrats, Boston.  You got a guy that isn't helping your biggest weakness.

Hawks fans, stop being down on your team.  We are still better than the Celtics.  Make sure those b*tches know it when they come in here next year.  It's gonna be nasty.

  3. Just now, Lurker said:

Actually he's not. The Bucks rejected a Teague for Middleton trade twice, and once in the summer apparently (in a SNT I guess) when his value would've been better.

Wait, what?  When was Teague for Middleton offered in the summer?  That makes no sense at all.  It makes sense for teams not to trade during the season because of the upcoming cap increase.  I stand by my original statement.

  4. He will be traded in the offseason.  I think everyone here is sick of him.  Steph Curry picked up an early foul in the first quarter tonight and not one attempt to attack the basket.  I don't know if Dennis is the answer either, but Teague plays like he doesn't care most of the time.  Time to bench Korver too.  Go Hawks.

  5. Seems to me that Josh tries every night to prove everyone wrong that he can't make a jump shot. He will get his token blocked shots every night. He will get his token one or two buckets in the paint. But it still seems to me he is trying to prove to everyone that he can make a jump shot. It hurts the team.

Joe, on the other hand. Well he is just laughing to the bank after the game.

  6. Man-

No wonder the fans in ATL get disrespected the way they do. You would not find the gripping and whining about officiating on a forum for the Celtics, or the Lakers, or any other team with knowledgeable fans.

Seriously? Bad calls are why the Hawks lost? That's not what I saw.

Listen, calls are earned. It's been that way since the beginning of the league. When you prove yourself to be an exceptional player, like Magic, Bird, MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Howard, Wade, etc, you get the benefit of calls, BECAUSE no one is hacked as much as those guys. When the best players in the league go to the hoop, especially in the playoffs, they get hit harder than anyone else. Why don't you check out some of the highlights of the Bulls and Pacers series and then get back to me about D Rose catching breaks.

You play aggressive, you get rewarded. I don't want to hear about the 2 or 3 times some Hawk, be it Teague or Johnson, or whoever, went to the hoop and didn't get the call. If you can count the number of times it happened, it's not happening enough. You won't get the call if it's few and far between. The Hawks ARE NOT a physical team. They just are not. That's why they're only a 5 seed, that's why they're about the be eliminated, that's why this group will never be better than a second round team.

    Deal with it.

Really? Probably because they always get all the calls. Get outta here.

  7. Everyone makes a big deal with the Lakers going out. But Dallas is a huge market. They are fine there.

Dallas will beat the OKC/Memphis winner.

Chicago and Miami battle it out and Miami will face Dallas in the finals again.

NBA makes out just fine even though the Lakers are gone. They will still get huge market Dallas vs. Lebron and Wade.

  8. It's hard to do anything when the refs let Deng, Bogans, Brewer mug the life out of you. I mean, no wonder you hold people to 80 points when you are allowed to maul the other team's players.

Tom Thibadeau teaches mugging defense and the refs let them get away with it.

  9. The Bulls play with a phsyicality that no other team does. It really does look like they are juiced up on something. The refs let them mug people most of the time.

Hawks just have to have that same mentality. They did it tonight. I saw a different level of intensity tonight right from the tip.

  10. I don't have a problem with him passing on those threes. The Hawks didn't rely on the three ball, and that is why they won tonight. Get the ball inside with penetration and good passing. Double Joe, find the open man, make the extra pass.

If he takes those threes and misses, people will be upset.
