As it should?  He said he was guilty of a major felony ... it shouldn't go away but it probably will

"Major felony"? This isn't murder one. It's possession of drugs in an amount that is a misdemeanor in other states. If he was caught in PA, it wouldn't even be a thing. Any good lawyer will get him reduced. His immediate cooperation alone on a victim-less crime is enough to get him a ton of headway.

As an aside, Harrisburg just reduced weed to a ticket (and it is still not legal in the state). The people decided the police had better things to do.

Very rarely post.. actually only once before. As an Atlanta resident and huge Hawks fan not a rich one(middle class). F!ck this! Philips is fine for me.

Using tax payer money to boost this city up I'm for. Using tax payer money to make rich people sit more luxuriously is gross.

Hey everyone...the TAXES guy showed up! And didn't even bother to read the article!

Looking forward to it, especially if there's any news regarding The Gulch. And I'd much rather see a $200 million public tab (they're saying $100-150, but we know how that works) toward renovation, than a half-billion-plus for a new arena in some remote location.

They'd be insane to take it away from where the new MB Stadium is going. The Hawks have done way too much to embrace the city residents.

In the article below look at the possible teams Shaq was thinking about going to in the summer of 96.  The Hawks were a real good possibility instead of the Lakers.  However, Stan Kasten nixed the deal because he didn't want to get rid of Mookie or Lattener.  Unbelievable, Kasten is stupid and should have been fired on the spot.  I can't imagine what that move could have done for this franchise.

    What?

This was the snag. After running all the numbers, Smith, an All-Star caliber player, was probably the odd man out, and we didn't like the idea of losing Smith. Eventually, Atlanta, which had become a legitimate contingency option, fell completely out of consideration when it signed Dikembe Mutombo to a five-year, $50 million deal.
