Its fixed.
Why you think Oklahoma City was able to get both Durant and Westbrook? It was to increase the markability of that Seattle squad that they knew they was moving to another city. When the NBA OWNERS decide Atlanta will get a superstar or win a champion, THEN, it will happen.
Yeah, the NBA fixed it so that Oden, Mayo and Beasley would all be mistakenly picked before Durant and Westbrook. Because you can fix front office stupidity and predict bad players.
Just stupid.

Ugh. Poor attempt. 2/10.

If the Hawks could have afforded to pay him and he only played in 26 games, this place would have had a meltdown.

The hot streak continues! In a 30-point blowout, he notched one minute and had 2 points! Game changer.

Mutombo: Blocked shots and gained possession of the ball for his team. Effective defense.
Dwight: Sells out on defense to trawl for highlight blocks that go into the stands and the other team retains possession. Not effective defense. We can call this the "Josh Smith Corollary" of defense. I mean he held Al Horford to 30/14 and 22/9 in their meetings this past season.

Game five against the Heat with the Raptors starting center out BeBe received a DNP. Guess we didn't trade away a future all star after all. Still pulling hard for Edy to get minutes on the court next year Block some shots..
The eye test says he is "playing well".

The standard for "Playing well" seems far lower for former players than it is for current players.

I hope they find a way to pay more than the max.

he's ALWAYS been a bench player. He didn't become a full-time starter until he got here. Only the Hawks would use him as a starter and a big part of the offense. He's never been the same productive player in the playoffs. this is nothing new.
Semantics. He was playing over 30 minutes per game for three seasons in Philadelphia.

So you're benching a guy because his man made one contested shot in the middle of the 4th quarter?

It would be nice if both point guards would play well instead of trading off nights.

I really opened this expecting the OP to simply say "On a layover at the airport".

Oh, look. Some of these " casual " fans been waiting since the 1970s for the front office to get it right...............lmao
Stating this DIRECTLY AFTER stating they "never replaced Dominique" is why you are just pitiful at this sports/internet thing.
Go back to Applebee's and repeat all your local sports talk takes to your work buddies over some Jalapeno poppers. Because this is hack at best.

Strange to see this after Dennis was +15.

The NBA is all about the revenue. A guy has a career game, of course they're not going to suspend him! They want to attract viewers.
Hogwash.....
Yeah, because people are emptying their wallets on Isaiah Thomas jerseys now.

If you don't prioritize actually watching the games, why would you place such importance on making internet comments about it?
Oh...(SHHHH! ~lw3).

Enjoy watching Dwight realize his summer vacation has to wait a few extra days.

I do... and I don't. I'd take him if he would take less than the max and is driven bringing home a championship (and he works on his free throws). I don't if he wants a max deal only to end up playing the fool.
So, it's probably not going to happen.
Driven? He hasn't been driven to do anything for years. Last night he couldn't have fouled out fast enough to get out of the game. He doesn't even want to be there.
He's lost on defense and never really had any offense. He's been a sullen mess for years. Let him go toil away for whatever dumb team decides to overpay him.

Didn't want him before. Don't want him now.

Hawks do that in the playoffs against the Cavaliers, expect the NBA to change the rule mid-game and disband the Hawks as a franchise.
