    Moreover, it would cost us Al/Chillz to get Francis. Again, I don't think Francis is worth all that.

    However, if it were Al/Chillz for Francis/1st rounder (unprotected)... Now, you got my attention.

    The problem is that Orlando has less need for Al than we have for another Sf. They still have Hill, Turk, and Garrity under contract.

    I look at Francis as one of those players who is talented, but won't really win you anything. I would MUCH rather try to get Jemeer Nelson here. Even though he is about 5'9".

    That's coaching my friend...I'm as big a hawk fan as there is and i'm pulling for Woody...But, the guys simply aren't playing hard for him.

    Salim was the ONE and ONLY reason we stayed in that...he almost willed us to victory...we need more guys like Salim, JJ and Marvin...you see a different look on their faces...they're competitors and they HATE to lose.

    You have to hate your present to birth a new future...so unless the we get some guys that hate to lose and have a "refuse to lose" mentality...we'll continue in this spiral.

    I was wary of Slim's haphazard play, but with the heart he is showing on the court, I am giving him a pass out there. Marvin is showing some signs as well. I would just as soon keep Zaza, JJ, Slim, and Marvin, and put anyone else on the block and see what we can get big-man or PG wise.

    I like it from just an informational standpoint because it is interesting and can open good debate, however, I would like to see all of the roster's numbers year to year.

    I like the idea. Joe hasn't fallen off all that badly, and he has a LOT less to work with. I personally think that watching him is a joy. He works hard and smart on defense, and is adjusting to carrying the load. He keeps his head up (unlike a lot of the FA's we have brought in...SHAREEF), and works hard.

    We need a true PG in a bad way, and we need to make sure Al H has a contract year every year. He's been pretty solid so far this year. Slim needs some discipline, and J-smoove needs to tone his jump-shooting down and get to the boards (I saw him do it more against DAL). Chill needs more handle. Marvin has the tools, and will be a good player. I hope Knight has something up his sleeve. I hope he is dialing the Maloofs to try for Bibby...although that will probably never happen.

It doesn't matter what a player (a rookie no less) sustains for the better half of a season...what matters is what he does during the 1st 3 games of the next. Damn 2nd round pick just lighting the basket up from all over the floor, a little guard just takin' to the rim (and against one of the league's better swatters)...oh, but to not credit for the GM...

    Wow. Whatever... This sh!t is comical to me. Sorry, I just don't see the gloom and doom. I see a f!ckload of talent waiting to mature and be groomed. I'm sticking by my guns. Not to say I told you so, but because I see something in these losses. We got some GOOD peices and no amount of shortsighted trolling can change that.

    My take as well. Thank you for being level-headed.

    JJ = 10 mil per year. Camby = 9 mil per year. The deal could have been worse, and PHO would have paid it as well. We have a young core with no free agents and we are still well below the cap. Let this team play together, make a trade, and get some FAs...rebuilding after Babcock is not easy.

    The only one I am the least bit worried about is Smoove. He seems to have become the personalization of what everyone thinks he could be...not a good thing. He is trying to go out there and make every play instead of letting things happen for him. He needs to lay off instead of rying to hit every shot.

    This team needs a leader in a big way.

    They are making progress...and I think Slim has ROY all over him.
