In that scenario, we would have a starting lineup of:
Trae
Bogi
Hunter
Giannis
OO
The #1 pick would be going to Milwaukee so no Sarr in that situation.
We'd still have DJ to trade for better fits elsewhere.

Also, a trade with the Spurs requires us taking salary back and they have a bunch of low salary players other than Vassell and Johnson. So what would that look like?
I'd want Sochan back in any deal with them.

only the likes of Giannis, Embiid, Kawhi are worth that conversation. And even then, not sure if they're worth that at this point. Giannis is at least considerable for it.
Maybe Jalen Brown, but he ain't worth all that.
I'm not stressing either way.... it's Laundry's problem.- 4

No one is safe also means him celebrating #1 also means he's celebrating another of his teammates getting the boot.
Just to play devils advocate some more to the freak out crew lol.
He very well may just be "#1 is cool, but it also means Clint goes toodaloo and I don't want to celebrate that"
Your posts have been so refreshing throughout these insane past 24 hours. Appreciate your voice of reason. I hope you've helped some people calm down. Which is insane that I'm even saying that after we just landed our first ever #1 pick.

Lots of receipts in this thread and I can't wait to revisit all your insane statements when Edey is out of the league.- 8

I'll rather trade the pick
you have no pick to trade if you're in the process of being eliminated from the playoffs. Sounds like you prefer being on the treadmill than planning for a title.
"Draft Clingan so we will at least be in the playoffs next year"
That means nothing to a lot of us.- 4

Lmao, what? Clingan is already better than Kessler as a prospect and if Kessler was on this team with Trae, we would be in the playoffs and maybe still playing
you can laugh all you want supes. They say there's no better medicine.
I've had my share of laughs today... I'm starting to feel selfish. -

I like Sarr here. Highest potential. Sure he could bust but Clingan just isn't ever going to be more than an above average player. Can't shoot at all so we won't be able to space the floor either. No thanks.
To me, Clingan has a floor of bust and a ceiling of role player. I want no part in him.
Just sign Alex Len if you want a big stiff.- 3

Go with high floor CP3/Clingan
you act like you've been right about everything ever. Look into the past and save future supes from more embarrassment.
You keep saying Clingan is the fit with Trae..... you know Trae has speed and likes to run the floor right? You know Trae likes spacing right? Clingan don't do those things like Sarr.
Also, Cam Reddish is not Randy Moss.- 6

Come on down Sarr!!!!
Or trade back and pick up additional 1sts- 1

Yeah, IMO Castle is the guy if he is there at your pick and Risacher, Sheppard, and Sarr aren't there
I like him but if we're getting back Dyson in a DJ deal, and we have Kobe, Bogi.... seems we still have the crowded back court minutes issue. He's versatile enough though to where he doesn't compound it too bad.

Cavs have pick #20, not #21.
I don't think the Pels are giving up enough to get Murray AND 10 AND Allen. Hawks should still be getting a future pick from NOP.
Questions:
1. Is it worth moving down 10 spots to get Herb?
2. Who do we draft at #20 - Ware?
yeah that trade is bs for us.

Anyways, the guys we did sign were all made available for other players last year. We aren’t getting good offers. Hoping we do this off-season for Murray.
I've noticed this as well. I was one that was on board for trading whatever MIN wanted to move up to #1 to draft Edwards. I was disappointed in the posters that said trading Huerter/JC/#6 is too much because Edwards won't be better than either of them.
People get so attached to the current players.- 5

Probably losing Trae this summer anyways so…
why would they lose Trae this summer after they traded Dejounte to NYK this season?

He stopped playing with a point guard like lonzo. This tweet from Grant Shirley is a direct comment on what BI said in their exit interview that he wishes they target PG and his best season came playing off jrue and lonzo
That's a good point @Mikey

Dejounte is a horrible defender. You guys got to stop talking about his reputation as a defender from his lone SA year where he did well. He is only a good off ball defender. On ball he is awful and it doesn't matter what position he plays. Coby White just gave him 40 in their last game. DJM cannot guard a parked car
Now you've got me intrigued. What's your description of BI's defense?

Murray does literally nothing better on the basketball court than BI. Better scorer Bi, Better defender BI, better playmaker BI. Bigger Bi.
The bolded is the only one I can agree with. Everything else is debatable. And I noticed you didn't mention anything about rebounding.
And the bit about BI being a better defender really hurts your argument.
