How about this trade: Bibby to the Cavs West and Szcerbiak to the Hawks Makes good sense for both teams. We sign West to a contract for ~$4M a year and also keep a big expiring contract. Cleveland gets their established point guard.

Unfortunately what's probably best for the Hawks in the long term is that Smoove be traded this offseason. Horford will be a max money player at the PF spot, and you can't have 2 big contracts tied up at the same position. We need to leverage Smoove's playoff exposure and get some serious value back for him in a SNT. The bigger question is will the ownership ever be able to come to a consensus to pull off a blockbuster trade.

Forget about the win, blowing the coverage on the alley-oop should have gotten him fired on the spot. How do you not prepare better for that when it is obvious they had to run a play like that to have a chance to score in 0.5 seconds? All you would have had to do is station a couple of guys down low to defend against that. If Toronto wants to inbound it to someone 20 feet from the basket then let them. The chances are slim to none that they would be able to chuck it up from that distance in 0.5 seconds and make it. Also, I give Woodson zero credit for the Hawks resurgence. All he is doing is playing the main guys 42-48 minutes a game. Of course they are going to win some games with that that strategy, but obviously it is not a long-term sustainable strategy. The real credit goes to Bibby and what he brings to the team.

Indiana is definitely our main competition now for the 8th spot. Their schedule is a little bit easier than ours, plus if we lose to them on April 8 then they will hold the tiebreaker. New Jersey's schedule is too tough for them to climb back into it, and Chicago would pretty much have to run the table.

These next 2 home games vs. Minny and Memphis are really must-wins for the Hawks at this point. You have a chance to get back to 9-10 and put yourself in position to compete for the 8th seed. You are playing 2 weaker teams at home that you should beat by double digits. If the Hawks are not 9-10 on Sunday morning then heads should roll somewhere, no excuses!!!

With our current crop of PG's we will not get to the playoffs this year. Adding Marbury at least gives us a fighting chance. Plus we get out from under Speedy's contract for the next 3 years, which is worth a lot right there.
