  1. MW24..Im jealous I couldnt get those tix's before you! But the Hawks looked great, its not very often the Hawks play ball like that and have an easy win. Looks like if we play DECENT, we should be grabbing a 5 game winning streak if we handle business against Boston.
  2. Thanks TP! MW24...enjoy the game up close! I'll be watching on TV. Lets get within 3 games of the playoffs!!! Need the W.
  3. TP, if MW24 cant make it for some last minute reason, let me know....I'd love to take my wife and son. I'd even pay some money for those seats. thanks and lets see if we can make it 4 in a row!
  4. we just couldnt match up with them....and by their record, not many teams can.
  5. I like the way Marvin has been playing lately....if he is having a off shooting night, seems like he going to the line 4-5 times and getting his points there...if he stroking it, then hes putting up 15-20 pts. HOpe he and Smooth and Chillz continue to develop like they have this year.
  6. YES! ....I mean, come on. Our only goal the past several years has been to play respectable ball and make the playoffs. IF (and thats a bit of a stretch), we make the playoffs...both GM and coach should be commended.
  7. check out these facts...per Chad on ESPN chat. Bill (Austin): Chad what are your thoughts on the Hawks getting Anthony Johnson for the Mavs' second round pick for the 07 draft? Chad Ford: (1:08 PM ET ) From ESPN.com's own Nick Silva, our cap guru: "The Hawks-Mavs trade saved Dallas 2.64M in tax for this year and 5.72M next year (2.86M salary + 2.86M tax) and they got the Hawks pick in the second round which is 37 right now and they gained a 2.64M trade exception." Once again Billy Knight is helping out one of the best teams in the league. He needs a lifetime achievement award.
  8. so let me get this straight...now we have speedy, t lue, ivey and johnson? how many backup PGs can we have on a roster!? Id rather have our second pick to be honest. I dont see how this UPGRADES our team.
  9. We had anthony Johnson at one point..and he is what he is...a servicable backup PG. WE HAVE THAT ALREADY in Ivey, and Lue (and to be honest, Speedy). I hope we are trying to land a Quality PG or big man. I'm skeptical until proven otherwise, and I'm pro Hawks.
  10. just a sorry effort. Should have won this game, and we lose by 20 pts....just pitiful. Ownership should really evaluate this team....just aweful.
  11. I got the ps3...LOVE IT! It depends if your a "graphics" guy or you just like fun games. I want a gaming system that does it all and has awesome graphics, thats why I got the ps3. If you like fun playing but not as good graphics...get the Wii. XBOX 360 is cheaper than ps3, but ps3 has more potential, and if you have a HDTV...ps3 is the way to go. Graphics look awesome on mine.
  12. Guys - was reading hoopshype and ran across a rumor that I've been reading about sening O'Neal and #17 to Toronto for #1 and Villanueva. Got me thinking....would it work and would we consider trading Al and the #5 pick to Indy for O'Neal and the #17 pick ATL gets O'NEAL #17 where we could pick up some depth or a PG INDY gets #5 Al Harrington Thoughts???????????????????????????????????????
  13. I like Kmart...but hes injury prone and has a bloated contract. if he is healthy, I'd take him in a second even with big contract, but hes rarely healthy and doesn't seem to be this year either.
  14. I like Andre Miller...passes well and can score.

    New trades!

zaza is cheap and effective. I dont trade him.
  16. I dont think Chicago can just sign him in the offseason as the Hawks will have the option to do a sign and trade for him. I would be happy with the deal, but I honestly want a TRUE point guard...haven't seen that much of Ben but I hear he's a really good player. WE will see!!!
  17. I'll even take a second round pick for him....get something bc right now...were not getting anything with him on the bench.
  18. I just went back and took at look at how many games were close and we lost by 5 pts or less...and I was shocked to see that we've lost 10 games!!!! by 5 pts or less. I knew we let several get a way from us at the end or just couldn't close the game out, but 10 WHOLE GAMES!?! Just think if we closed out 6-7 of those games, we'd be about 21-24 right now (and in the thick of a playoff berth). Interesting stuff guys.
  19. Last year Josh Smith had no outside game at all...all he could do was leap and dunk. Looks like all his hard work in the offseason working on his jump shot really it paying off. He really has developed a pretty consistant jump shot and seems to really be coming into his own. I really like the upside in him. two months ago, I wasn't as impressed, but since he was benched, he has really improved him game and played very well last night. I like him a lot! Think we'll see BIG things out of this kid for years to come.
  20. yes...also the franchise article as well b/c it has potential trade for all teams....THANKS!
  21. Anyone got ESPN insider and can post the most recent chat with Chad Ford?
  22. I was hoping to have a bit more "star studded" field. But it will still be fun to watch. I hope Smoove does his thing.
  23. I'd love to read about this one too.
  24. I posted this for Marc Stein to answer: Greg (Atlanta, GA): Marc - big win for the Hawks last night over the Knicks. What do you see them doing with Al Harrington or any other possible moves before the deadline? Seems like if they are going to let him go, they need a PG or big man in return. What do you think? Also, Tony Delk is supposidly healthy and has been inactive all year. What are they going to do with him? Marc Stein: (11:44 AM ET ) They want picks. Multiple firsts. They also think they can get more for Harrington in the summer. But it's not inconceivable that Atlanta will get a good offer in the next 20-plus days. They've told Al they want to re-sign him but I agree that it's more likely he gets moved. It's simply more likely in July than now. I was disappointed he didn't mention anything about Delk. Man, why aren't we even trying to use him? Just don't really get it. he says he's healthy. Also, I was alittle surprised to hear that were trying to get multiple #1's. I agree they are valuable, but utlimately we CAN'T get younger. We need a PG or Big Man, and I would think Al could get one of those. Even if we package another pick or player.
