  1. Wasn't the owner of the Bobcat being called cheap the last couple of years. It's sad that he looks more willing to pay his players than ASG does.
  2. I've been a very vocal and commited Hawks fan for awhile now, but if Smith leave I'm done as well. It's not just Smoove, it's not willing to pay CHildress after promising all season long their top priorty is to resign both of the Joshes.
  3. Their probably asking him to take less money
  4. I'm not very high on a player 3pts 3reb season. Alot of players look good in limited minutes, Zaza Pachulia average 5pts 5reb in 18 minutes.
  5. ASG promise the fans they would bring back both of the Joshes and it looks like they won't deliever smh. How can anyone root for this team?
  6. yea I really like the new forum. Will be posting much more now!

  8. Quote: Speaking of offers, our good friends at ESPN.com weighed in with another round of intel on the situation regarding both Josh Smith and Childress and where negotiations stands between the respective camps. They reported that Josh Smith has been extended a six-year, $60 million offer from the Hawks. But spies in both camps confirm that this is absolutely, 100 percent NOT true. In fact, Smith has never been formally offered a cent over $9 million from the Hawks. They’ve only had discussions about where things might go but there’s never been a formal offer at that rate. “Come on, man. Do you really think these guys would still be hanging out there if they were dealing like this all along?” one of my spies told me late Tuesday night. “The spinning that’s going on right now is nothing short of despicable. They haven’t done right by those kids [Childress and Smith] and they have every right to want more for themselves.” IDK how credible this is, I found it on another forum, and still waiting for link.
  9. Things would be the same. It's ASG doing all of this.
  10. I think a bunch of teams are scared to offer him a contract, knowing there's a good chance that the Hawks will match.
  11. He waz horrible out there. Jaravis Crittenton looked better than he did. I still don't get what all the hype waz about during draft time last year.
  12. If we could get Kaman away from the Clips. Than we'd have a ligit Center, and we'll be able to slide Horford down to his natural position. Kaman average 16pts 13reb 3bls last season and that was in the West. Many might say he's uinjury prone, but prior to this season, he hasn't really had a injury riddled season.
  13. I know they didn't get their hands on Smoove, but they got Brand whose a 20 and 10 player and fills a need for them. Now we'll have to compete with them
  14. Quote: I would think the Clippers would be more inclined to bring Maggette back rather than chase any restricted FA. (They didn't renounce Maggette, did they?) Maggette has agreed on a 5 year 50 million contract with the Warriors
  15. Quote: It suddenly appears that the biggest threat to the Los Angeles Clippers re-signing franchise forward Elton Brand can be found far east of Oakland. NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com on Monday night that the Philadelphia 76ers are again "actively involved" in the Brand hunt -- and now are a very serious threat to tempt him away from L.A. -- after initially fearing they couldn't compete financially with the Clippers and Golden State Warriors. In the face of a longstanding leaguewide consensus that Brand would return to Hollywood to form a new partnership with Clipper-to-be Baron Davis, sources say that the Sixers are growing increasingly confident in their ability to create additional salary-cap space by trading away swingman Rodney Carney and center Calvin Booth, setting them up to make a sufficiently rich offer Brand would struggle to refuse. Dealing away Carney and Booth -- with Minnesota and Memphis quickly emerging as possible destinations -- would shed nearly $3 million from the Sixers' payroll next season as long as the trade doesn't require new GM Ed Stefanski to take any salary back. Multiple front-office sources said late Monday that the Sixers are closing in on a deal with the Timberwolves in which the Wolves would absorb the contracts of both Carney and Booth by using the $2.8 million remaining from a trade exception created by Minnesota's trade of Mark Blount to Miami last October and a separate minimum player exception. It was not immediately known what financial and/or draft considerations might be included in the trade from either side. The Sixers are already expecting to have at least $11 million in salary-cap space to spend when the league announces next season's cap figure to all 30 teams Tuesday night. Depending on how closely the cap ceiling for the 2008-09 season comes to the widely projected estimate of $58-59 million -- and if the Sixers can finalize a trade to part with Carney and Booth -- it's conceivable that Philadelphia could possess the financial flexibility to start a five-year offer to Brand at a first-year salary in the $15 million range. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3477424
  16. Quote: we lose games because of woodson and now our future star I know it'd be really mess up if we loss Smoove because of Woodson
  17. Ric Bucher is known for saying bs
  18. Quote: The 76ers are close to trading forward Rodney Carney and a future No. 1 pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a deal that clears salary cap space for Philadelphia to make a stronger push for free agents, a person in the NBA told The Associated Press on Tuesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not yet been completed and the NBA trade moratorium is not lifted until Wednesday. The 76ers will throw in reserve forward Calvin Booth, but are working out the particulars of what they will get back from Minnesota. A proposed trade between the teams was first reported by Yahoo.com. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AohF...ov=ap&type=lgns
