  1. Since no one will say it, or admit how good we really are. I say the Hawks sweep the road clean. 5-0!!!
  2. he is now the sole leader in the NBA in points per game. Kobe takes over as most efficient player. Stats can be found in the link above.
  3. Well Big Dog and Reef are in a very exclusive club. They have scored 50 pts in a game before. For a guy to score 50, he has to like to shoot the rock. I don't think GR is going to get tired at all. I think he looks at this team, just like Milwaukee. With the exception, we have the size in the middle. The Bucks just needed a talented big man (Ratliff) to have a great team.
  4. Man, what took you so long to put that article up. That game has been over for a good 4 hours. (just kidding, fast work there, nice article as always) It is about time we got over the hump, and had a winning record. I don't think this will be our ony goal this year. Jalen Rose has become a great NBA Player. The Fab 5 at Michigan, Rose was near the bottom of them. He is someone to fear. He has a real versatile game, and is a mismatch for most NBA Players.
  5. The subsitution patterns are ridiculous, and I hate when he takes the starters out of the game, gets interested in the game, and forgets to bring them back in. If ya'll can remember, the Hawks was a playoff team, but exited in the 1st round every year with Lenny at the helm. He was too good of a coach to let us lose too many games, but didn't really have the talent to go all the way. Lon was not the best coach for the job, but I think he was the best man. We needed to bring in a bad coach to get high draft picks. This plan has worked out pretty good to this point. I think they will let him have the team for this year, but if they don't do well in the playoffs, you could see the Management buying out those final two years.
  6. Yes, I predict Dion will play!!! lol, he looked ok out there. I'm glad to have him back.
  7. I know, normally we get glimpses of Braves players at the game. The Hawks are about to have a star fan base. I just read the boxsore of the game, and it said 15, 000 something fans at the game tonight. What game did I miss?
  8. Big Dog is the most efficient, 3rd in scoring average, and tied with JT for the league lead in steals. Theo is 3rd in the NBA in block shots, at 4.5 a game. Here is the direct link to the efficient stat. Above they will show you the formula of how they got it. From this page you can check all the other statistics too. http://www.nba.com/statistics/default_regu...rsEEFQuery.html
  9. Team MIP, maybe. League MIP, not enough playing time. I think Darius Miles is going to be a runaway canidate in that. He is already getting the pub. for it.
  10. Yeah, that is being between a rock and a hard place. If DJ comes out later on, and becomes a superstar (aka Brett Farve) then the Hawks messed up. If they keep him and he never plays again, then the Hawks messed up. They took the safe way out.
  11. The Thrashers sold their home opener out. I know they are more BB Fans than hockey fans out there. I was wondering where everyone was, then I thought of Halloween too. Of coarse the Thrashers Game was on a Saturday Night, and this was on a workday/holiday night. I fully expect us to sell out a game shortly.
  12. Glad we got the win, but I basically seen the same thing. The differences was the Reef Factor, and Theo played a little longer before exiting the game. We still don't have a lot of movement on offense. Not enough passing, and players running around in our half court offense. JT seems content on the 3 point shot. I would like to see him drive and dish more. But winning is the bottom line, and that is what counts. I do see a lot of impovements we can make, and didn't really see any this game, from the way we played the Nets.
  13. Well its the time of the year to go trick or treating. I think we had all the tricks we can handle last night. I guess we can't have a perfect season, but 81-1 is still in the picture. I think the Bulls only loss 10 games one year. We might lose a couple, but I don't think we will lose that many. Great Job Big Dog, glad to have you IN THE HOUSE. You played great last night. I also would like to congratulate former Hawks Coach Eric Mussleman on his first NBA win. Wow, Golden State looks good. I wish we still had you here in Atlanta. Sorry Utah, I know you looked awful last night against the Hornets. John Stockton had something like 4 assists, man he must be feeling his age. Too bad the Hawks are going to take it to them tonight. Teams are going to have to earn wins on our home floor, no give me's in Atlanta.
  14. Well I don't look at it as excuses. I look at it as facts. We lost two and a half starters (Reef, Johnson, and Theo). No back up center in Mohammed, and no Shaw MVP in Glover. When you have replacements like Harvey, and Dickau it doesn't make things much better. I think with more ball movement the Hawks could have made this a lot closer game. NJ shouldn't really even be a worry for us. We beat them 2 out of 3 last year, and didn't have Dog and Ratliff. So I think we will be fine when our real team plays them. Some people are saying the Kings could win the West now, with the Lakers struggling. Man I hope so. The Kings would be an easy championship to win, if we play them in the finals. I think their foreign players need some American Education in basketball. The Hawks could definately teach it to them.
  15. I think we are ok in the middle. Normally Mohammed would take up the bulk of those back up minutes, and would be very productive. Then we have Hendu for emergency back up at center. SAR is just a great rebounder, you can get by with PF's for centers.
