I love this. If this was 5 years from now, Lebron would be courting Trae! Good point though our players NEVER recruit others. It’s nice to see this for sure.
I saw Lebron in an interview and he spoke very highly of Trae. They obviously have a rapport with one another. Bron bron still is not coming to Atlanta but the gesture was cool.

Orlando is in desperate need of a point guard and we took who they wanted in the draft. Lets trade Dennis Schröder for Orlando's Nikola Vucevic. Atlanta gets their 7'0" center who is still putting up good numbers and is in the prime of his career at 27 years old and Orlando gets a proven guard in Dennis. Orlando drafted Bamba which made Vucevic somewhat expendable.
Also, I do not see Dennis being a willing mentor to Trae and personally, I do not want any of Dennis's bad habits rubbing off on Trae. I like Dedmon but he tends to have the three-point line on his mind too often. We need a center willing to bang down low and get rebounds and Vuc actually has a nice shot around the basket.

Yep..And Hueter..
I thought all three picks were awesome. Run and gun in the atl again.

Great draft, sat at the Tabernacle to watch all three of the Hawks picks and they all are players. I think Atlanta and Dallas drafted for what fits their vision. Schlenk has a vision for the team and is executing it. Three first round picks again next year and cap space, finally a front office with a plan.

Can't wait for the season to start! We should be a run and gun team this year. What a change from watching Dennis rolling the ball halfway up the court before he picks it up. Now for the trades...

6:30 and it oooonnnnnnnn!!!!! Lets Go Hawks!!!!!

Bamba’s not my first choice but lol at non shooter.
Bamba did not shoot like this in the games. I saw Dwight Howard shoot like this in warm-ups, however, it never translated to actual games. Warm-up and workout film are misleading in my opinion.

Watching this series I had a random thought. If the C's were enamored by Bamba of Bagley to play in the front court, given their wing depth, and they offered J Brown for #3 straight up, do you take it? How highly do you value Bagley, Bamba, or Doncic?
I would trade the #3 for Jaylen Brown and swap Dennis for Terry Rozier. We get a young proven player in Brown and a guard who is looking to make his mark on a team. Both players I believe would thrive in an environment where they are allowed to run and gun. Brown is worth a number 3 pick in my view and Dennis can team up with his Buddy in Boston.

I can see a lot of teams reaching for point guards and wings soon this season. I will be shocked now if Troy Brown or Anfernee Simmons are still there when we pick 19.; and just as shocked if Gary Trent Jr. and Donte Divicenzo are there when we pick 30.
Look out for Hueter also. He seems to have helped himself as much as Divicenzo at the combine. I still love Jontay Porter's game and whomever gets him will be getting a solid player for years to come.
That is my new list of six if we stand pat at 19 and 30.
Jontay Portor just pulled out of the draft. Back to Mizzou

I hope it is not Fizzy. If he brings that slow me down, boring style of play to Atlanta, they will never fill the seats. That Memphis team had three all-stars on it. Can we find a young coach, and give them an opportunity to lead a team. Let's end the retread of NBA coaches. Why are these coaches even available? I hope they choose either an assistant coach whose philosophy is to run & gun or a proven college coach looking to move up the NBA.

Never given a real opportunity to show what he had.

If you really want to blame it on someone, blame it on the people that got Danny Ferry shoved out because they got mad at him for saying that someone looked "African American like". BudCox failed. It's not Travis Schlenk's fault that Malcolm Delaney is here. It's not Travis Schlenk's fault that Kent Bazemore is a horrendous, unmovable contract. Maybe it is Travis Schlenk's fault for wasting a good second round pick with trading Dwight Howard instead of just telling coach to put him on the bench and for not at least giving it a whirl with Paul Millsap and trading him if it doesn't look great.
No, Danny Ferry got fired by presenting a racist stereotype to Luol Deng. He chose to present what someone else stated. "African American type....geeesh.

Can we learn to play Man to Man defense!!!! Stop leaving a wide-open three-point player on the weak side of the court. That is frustrating.

Those are old bands. I'm talking about what passes for rock music in 2017.
rock isn't what it used to be, you are right on that. But Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph and Andrew W.C. are all on my current playlist and that is not old music. To me music is good or bad, not old or new.

Well, Rock is mostly dead now with the exception of nostalgia acts and indie bands that mostly losers and white liberal geeks listen to.
Music impacts in different ways. Maybe the folks in New Zealand take their rock music more seriously than Americans do.
Sorry but I still like my Rock music, AC/DC (back in BLACK), nirvana, Aerosmith, U2, Whild Peach, Black Crowes, Lenny Kravitz and I am neither white nor a geek.
Been to many rock and hip hop concerts, seen crowds in person from both genres. Can you say the same? or did you post that vague comment based on what you read or saw on tv.
Who might be this FA season's quality acquisitions by the Colonel?

My wishlist (in no particular order):
1. Alex Len
2. Seth Curry
3. Michael Beasley
4. Michael Carter-Williams
We need a center and another guard who can shoot. Beasley brings some toughness, and Carter-Williams has some length to him at the guard position.
