  1. Well, all I am saying is that many Hawks fans wanted to resign JT and get Stephen Jackson so badly.....So don't conplain, because all of last monts posts were about how "happy" you guys were about these two guys.
  2. What's up Hawks fans! It seems to me that you guys are so mad. My question is why? You guys all wanted Jason Terry so badly and now you have him. You guys wanted Stephen Jackson and you got him. How come your not happy? And I do not want to here that you guys didn't want JT, just take a look at the past month of posts. Anyways, it's not like the season is a failure. I mean for God's sake, you are in the EAST! I mean if the Grizzlies, Rockets or Sonics(all didn't make the playoffs last year) were in the East they would have all been in the playoffs! I said it last year, and I will say it again, Keep your heads up! It's only one game. But you all know how I feel about your PG position(Dan should start when healthy if things get any worse) so be happy with what you have got, because after the Nets, Pistons, Pacers, Sixers, Hornets and Magic...two spots will remain....and it is up for grabs...
  3. Hawks fans, I know what you guys are feeling right now. Remember, from 1985-1995 the Kings were terrible! I mean terrible! Nobody, I mean nobody wanted to come to a city that had 300,00 thousand people and was undeveloped. Now, the Kings have a great team-with another great addition, that of Brad Miller. We now have 1.5 million people in our county, and we are an estabilished city with an established team in a great western conference. Now, although the Hawks are pretty bad right now, and with no official word of the new ownership, coach, general manager, etc. they are still in a great city. And with the trade of Big Dog Robinson, the Hawks will have 11 million dollars freed up. With this money they can resign Terry, try to sign Odom or another player or they can wait it out and save there money for a better player. And they also get a future first rounder and lose a cancer from the locker room who plays with zero enthusiasm and plays no defense. They can always resign Demarr Johnson too. After ownership is established, the Hawks can work from there and then they can become a team again. But for now the Hawks look like they have started over. And that is good, but if the Hawks do not make the playoffs this year do not be frusterated but rather hold your heads high and continue to be loyal fans that you are. Atleast they will have a lottery pick? Here is a potential starting line-up: C)Theo Pf)Reef Sf)Odom, Diaw, Johnson, etc. Sg)Diaw, Johnson, etc. Pg)Terry This is not a bad team. Remember, you have two great teams in the Braves and Falcons....
  4. THIS IS AMAZING...HAWKS GET T-BEE BUT CAN OR WILL THEY BY OUT HIS CONTRACT?Knicks get Van horn, t-wolves get spree, and sixers get big dog
  5. LOAD MUSIC. I JUST WANT LIKE 10 DIFFERENT SONGS AND I AM CAUTIOUS ABOUT BEING SUED OR SOMETHING? DOES ANYONE HEAR DOWNLOAD ON A REGULAR BASIS?
  6. Listen, I don't believe Dickau is going to be some Jesus and save the Hawks, but by God I do believe he can lead a team successfully in a matter of a few years. FOR DD to be successful he will need a SOLID big man that he will need on his team...He has been successful only when he has had a solid big man. In college, he had Violette, Guorde and Tuirafff. His junior year, he had Calvary. Like Stockton had Malone, Nash has Nowitzki, and Price had Daughtery and Nance....Dickau must have a SOLID big man who can run the pick and roll with him.
  7. New York Post: The Knicks want center Theo Ratliff as badly as Ratliff wants them. A source close to Ratliff told The Post at last week's Boston summer league, where the Hawks were competing, that Ratliff wants out of Atlanta. "He's miserable beyond belief," the source said. When contacted, Ratliff's agent Joel Bell declined to comment on whether Ratliff has demanded a trade. However, when asked if Ratliff would play for the Knicks, he said, "He would be very happy to be with New York. He's an East Coast guy." Hawks GM Billy Knight said yesterday he has no intention of trading the 6-10 Ratliff, but ultimately it may not be his decision. Knight disputed the notion he's not allowed to make trades until new ownership takes over. But multiple sources say his hands are tied on making any blockbuster moves that could affect the value of the team until the new owners are in place. Knight admitted he considers himself an "interim GM."
  8. Stotts gets in line to talk to Bucks Added: 22nd July, 2003 8:24 AM ET Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel: The Atlanta Hawks have given interim coach Terry Stotts permission to speak to the Milwaukee Bucks about their vacant head coaching position, the former Bucks assistant said Monday. "Obviously, I'm interested in the Bucks job," Stotts said. "Hopefully I will have a chance to come up and talk to Larry (Bucks general manager Larry Harris) sometime this week." The Bucks' coaching job opened up Sunday when George Karl was fired with one year left on his two-year, $14 million contract. Stotts, 45, served as an assistant under Karl during five National Basketball Association seasons with the Seattle SuperSonics and four with the Bucks. Others who could be considered include former Dallas Mavericks assistant and former Bucks star Sidney Moncrief; current Orlando Magic assistant and former Bucks standout Paul Pressey; Sacramento Kings assistant and Milwaukee native Terry Porter; and former Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers assistant Mike Woodson
  9. O.K. fellas, let me break down the Dickau vs. Terry debate. First off, y'all know that I am a huge Dickau fan, but the fact of the matter is that Terry is a better player than Dickau right now-and might even be a better player(statistically) when both of their careers are over and done. But we are not here to debate who is the better player, but rather who is the better point guard? You guys have tried to judge every aspect of Dickau's game and some of you have made some good points but some of you are on another planet when it comes to picking apart Dan Dickau. I believe that Dan Dickau will be a mixture of these three point guards, and he has already shown these qualities: John Stockton- Dickau has the headiness and work ethic that Stockton has. Steve Nash- Dickau does resemble Nash physically and even has the same flaws, such as lateral quickness and the ability to guard quicker guards. Mark Price- Dickau has by far the most similarities with Price. They both have a dash of flare to their game, both love to shoot the long ball and penetrate(to pass), and both are almost exactly the same height and weight ranging anywhere from 6'0-6'1 and 180-185 pounds. Furthermore, Dickau's game has vastly improved and he does look quicker and more aggressive. Remember JEDDELONG, the reason he looked so slow the final two games of the summer league was because he "had tendinitis in his achilles". Could this have anything to do with it. And HOTATLANTA, "11 pts., 6 dimes in 33 minutes"? Try like 14 and 7.5 in 33 minutes, if you want to speculate numbers. Dan Dickau vs. Jason Terry Shooting: Terry(currently) Passing: Dickau Court awareness:Dickau Tempo: Dickau: Willingnes to get all teamates involved: Dickau Scoring: Terry Athletic ability: Terry And that's how these two players should be analyzed.
  10. My computer won't download the boxscore for some odd reason...
  11. The fact of the matter is that JT probably won't be with the Hawks next year. As I said before, but y'all were not listening, Miami wants him and he wants Miami or so his agent Mr. Brothers says. JT, Eddie, Caron and Brian Grant aint bad. And reember DD is going to be a solid POINT GUARD. He is a leader and is a smooth passer who has really worked hard on his game this summer. Did anybody hear Alex English at the game yeasterday....Even he is expecting Dickau to start next year...He thinks this is what Atlanta needs. And personally, so do I, but y'all know that I am huge on Dickau-but all PG's because I am one. So I look at all Pg's to try and pick up things from there game....
  12. DD reminds me so much of Mark Price it isn't even funny. He is a very deceptive player when it comes to speed and quickness, and he is often changing gears when needed which really confuses defenders just like Mark Price did. They both have flash to there game,(DD threw three lobs-1 completed and two were dropped) both love the 3 point shot and are good at it, and both are very crafty and decisive. He is fearless and relentless, and he definitely looks FASTER than last year. Boris Diaw is so ironic. His game is nowhere near the traditional style Euro player. Unlike Europeans, he is very athletic and plays solid defense. unlike many Euros he can't shoot! But none the less, he is a very solid rookie to be who can play all three perimiter positions. T. Hansen- he is better version of Jon Barry. He is athletic, plays good defense, has range on the jumper and has a nice fade away in the lane. He also is a smart player. By the way, he was named co-defensive player of the conference, sharing this title with.....Marcus Banks. Pretty impressive.
  13. Did anyone see T. Hudson when he was playing full time in the playoffs? He looked better than Jason Terry in my opinion! He is definitely a better defender and runs a team with the same capability JT does if not better! I think that they are very very very similiar.
  14. Through his agent Mr. Brothers it is reported that Terry likes the Heat and the Heat like Terry...The Hawks better do something, or the Heat will snatch him up.
