I suggested signing him a few days ago, but he is a restricted free agent . Sacramento can match any contract offer he receives.
No, curry is a UFA now.

So the ending of game 7 was completely staged? The block? The Kyrie 3? Spare me your tin foil hat BS.
Thanks for your post Mr. Dan Gilbert.

Whoa, let's ease back a little. Sap's max will be over 30 mil IIUC. He's been really good but .... whoo that's a grip for a guy in his mid 30's. Hoping the Bulls fail to gel, trade Sap for Butler to help propel their tank.
We gonna let him walk too?

Because we want impact players like everyone else. No one wants old Dwight Howard and old Tracy McGrady's. We want the prime versions.
You just compared Tracy Mcgrady's time with the Hawks to dwights. Dumb!!

For whatever reason my eyes have been opened to how much of a superstar Sap has been for us. Hope we give him the max.

I kept trying to wait for Horford to be our Tim Duncan but he never materialized to anything but a 12/7 guy at best. Sad.

Yeah, Spurs, Cavs, Boston, Bulls, etc. took chances on people. It's about time ATL does the same.
Exactly!!!!!

I am angry as hell and helped pay his salary. I paid money to cheer for him and he "gave up" on this team to stay healthy for a big pay day. 3 point shooter my ass !

Haven't posted here in a while, but I'm finding this Horford situation kind of odd. For as long as I've been a Hawks fan, I can't really remember our team getting any respect because we had Al Horford. I don't remember feeling like teams ever feared him. I definitely never considered him a superstar or anywhere near it, nor do I remember anyone else considering him a superstar.
Now that he leaves us, he is a superstar. Where did that come from? Where are we setting the bar for the word superstar these days? In this NBA, if you want to win a championship, Al has to be your 3rd best player. He's not a game changer, nobody is game planning for Al Horford.
I'm glad we are turning the page on "our most successful decade" or whatever people are calling it. That was incredibly frustrating and sad for a team's most successful decade. Squeaking into the playoffs and getting bounced easily in round 1 or 2.
I'm not a fan of Dwight, but either he turns into the Dwight of old and we are a really good team or he sucks, Millsap leaves, and we rebuild.
We weren't winning anything by building around Al, so might as well try something new.
This should be push pinned. X 1,000,000,000,000

You can't hack a player in the last two minutes of the game. If you do, the player shoots free throws and the hacked team gets the ball back. So Dwight will be on the floor the last two minutes. I hope he improves.
Like I said, we will be fine. People wanting to complain about stuff

Because Tiago or Humph will be there late in games I'm guessing.
No way. I do not think have Dwight in there will kill us. We will be fine.

We will be fine at the free throw line. Book it

I completely agree. I think next season is full of potential and the Hawks may shock some folks. If nothing else it won't be status quo from the past couple of years.
Exactly. I don't even care if we take a step back. We put ourselves out there and got a hall of famer.
I am confident we will get there some day. Next year we max Sap and get another superstar for our big 4 + baze.

Just now, chico1 said:I wonder how the team (Kyle, Kent, Shreouder, Paul and the rest) feels about Alice leaving the way he did. Do you think they understand and respect his decision or are they pissed?
To the media they will say they understand. "It's a business".
Behind closed doors, they will feel betrayed. I know how korver is. My wife takes care of his kid at our church. He is a good dude. He stayed here because of our culture and organization. Atlanta is literally booming and first class.
We took a gamble on Carroll and made him rich. Took a gamble on baze and made him rich. Heck, we gambled on korver and made him 90/50/50.
We made Horford who he is and I for one cannot believe he would leave his team behind like this. It isn't like Marvin Joe and Josh are still here.

I thought this thread was gonna be a video of his career night in Chicago long, long ago. He's a great player but dude only had like 2 memorable moments as an individual on the national stage. The other was a little push and a layup.
Agreed man. I kept trying to look for some 2008 fire from the guy. What a b!tch.
There is literally nothing he could do to make this right. His Mrs universe wife is pushing to pop out children and buy Louis Vuitton bags.
He does not care about winning. Cannot believe he cares about the fickle fan base of Boston. Pathetic. He is nothing to me!!!!!!

The more excitement I have for this team. New superstar (in the making) point guard. Superstar center. Stud at PF. Bitch Horford is gone.
I will be purchasing fresh season tickets again. I am glad we actually landed someone. I don't care what the circumstances were.
It is fun to be a hawks fan. I will literally be at every meet and greet telling the players to be pissed at Horford. Cannot wait to cheer this team on!
i am true to Atlanta!!!

This is absolutely personal. As it has been said, the way he did this screwed the Hawks.
I remember bumping into Al out in San Fran at te hotel when they were playing Golden State. Told him we needed him to stay in Atlanta and he did that Bs smile of his. Should have known he was mailing it in. Absolutely zero fire from his ass.
We will be better off with Sap and Howard, and I am looking forward to how we fill the rest of the roster.
Please know that there will now not be any tickets available behind the Boston bench when we play them because I will be the biggest a-hole screaming, booing, and harassing Al Horford anytime he shows his face in Phillips.
