  1. So, for teams hoping to invest their cap space in a pair of young All-Star legs, the options are LeBron, Bosh and maybe (though less likely) Wade or Stoudemire.

And the Hawks' Joe Johnson: Don't forget him. Not only will he be just 29, but Johnson also is emerging as a big-shot star with three-point range and playmaking skills that would enable him to fit into any contending lineup. He looks more and more like he's a Piston in the making (which is not to say that the whims of the market will marry them together).

Now let's look at the leading teams in contention to make a play for these stars:

  2. Exodus, regarding your signature you should know that Hotlanta did ask me to ban him for going on a negative rant but I told him that I would not ban someone for that.

He's annoying as hell sometimes but thanks for staying fair.

  3. My team missed too many games to be competitive, which is a risk with the Arenas strategy. 2-9 but at least I am momentarily still above .500 and am no longer facing the Dolfan juggernaught!

LOL...I'd go with the dolfan dynasty.

Man, I think I'm screwed. I could fall so far into a hole that even when all my guys are back I can't recover.

OK, what is everyone who is participating's Hawksquawk screen names? I know the obvious ones but a few of them are kinda confusing.

  4. I didn't see the game again because of League Pass' sh!t, but from reading and highlights I think that:

    1. Marvin could make a run at most improved. 3-4 from downtown. He's a big guy, and can stroke it....what a combo.

    2. JJ is the new Truth. That 3 he made as the announcer put it, "from New York City" was plain COLD. like ice. I have complete confidence in the man, when he has the ball in crunch time I think we will win. BK's best move!

I don't have a good excuse for the loss, though, but I do think they will bounce back tonight and that we definitely miss Josh.

  5. Well I'm certainly having to eat some crow on this one. I still believe that if Ronnie Brown were on a different team (like the Redskins or Chargers) that he'd put up much better numbers but maybe he wouldn't. What's nuts is that the Dolphins have a ridiculous winning percentage when Ronnie Brown gets 25 carries but no matter who is coaching they just won't commit to running the ball. Now this year we've got Chad Pennington putting up career numbers for himself in passing and that's with a head coach who is an o-line guy and loves running the ball. I just don't get it.

I still think AP is the most gifted back in the league but Portis is having a hell of a season.

Eh, we both are, Barber isn't doing near what I thought he would...but yeah the Fins are surprising me and could actually be better if they ran more.

  6. LOL I was wondering when someone else would catch that. Damn American education system failing our youth :(

Well I tend to speed read on here anyway but yeah our school system sucks. I was homeschooled for all my education because my parents thought that the government education was f-ing awful...but, look how I turned out! :/

  7. No I wouldn't bet that, I get paid WAY too much to run this site LOL.

Take a look at my quote again about what I'm guaranteeing. See if you notice anything that doesn't add up.

    DUH....lol.

Can't believe I missed that the first time.
