Good core? The core isn't much better than it was 2011 or 2012. It's a far cry from the core in 2009 and 2010 from a talent perspective. Sap and Horford together was 14th in offensive efficiency and was worse in defensive efficiency by a good bit. Guess what? Just the year before with Smoove and Horf, they too was 14th in offensive efficiency but in the top 10 or near it for most of 2012-13 for defensive efficiency and have been in the top 5 and 10 throughout there time together. .  

 

 

Horford/Millsap: 29 games played together, 14th in offensive efficiency.

Horford/Smith: 6 seasons played together. 14th in offensive efficiency.

 

I think you're looking at it the wrong way because this is clearly impressive.

The lack of knowledge about how common and minor this type of move is is beyond staggering. Some of you actually think this was done to acquire this player and it cracks me up how upset it's making you.

My table turned out bad and I should feel bad. 

People have been talking about flipping Millsap for a bunch of different players - Greg Monroe being the most recent.

 

Millsap's 2012 stats:  30.4min/14.6pts/7.1rbs/2.6asts/1.3stl/1blk

Ilyasova's 2012 stats:  27.6min/13.2pts/7.1rbs/1.6asts/.9stl/.5blk

 

I like Millsap but if Ilyasova returns to form, then we could potentially move him near the trade deadline w/o too much drop off.

 

Even if you want to use 2012-2013 Ilyasova as comparison, he's still nowhere near Millsap last season.

You guys take too much pride in this.

Dumb move by the Cavs. They should have continued to build through the draft since they have so many young talented players.  But instead they just traded away young talent in Zeller along with a future building block.  Even if they get LBJ, I just don't see it working out, at least not for a year or two.

 

Boston is the obvious winner in this deal.  Zeller is a stud AND they get a Cavs first round pick (not sure if protected at this point though).

 

So, on the bright side, if Miami is breaking up then the Hawks better win the division next season.

You're implying you wouldn't trade Zeller, Karasev, and a 1st for LeBron...?

I'd like to see Patric Young get an invite to the summer league team. Shades of Ben Wallace, surprised he went undrafted.

Have you checked to see what internet you'll be able to get if you drop the TV package? I have Comcast and if you drop cable then they severely limit the internet package that you can get. I think it's like 6 Mbps or something is the max they'll allow without TV. I have a 50 Mbps connection now and there's no way I could go without it.

Plex on the Roku for the MFing win though. Best $99 you'll ever spend as it has tons and tons of apps.

Charter services my area and there's no speed cap without a cable subscription, but don't get me started on their quality of service.. I pay for 30mpbs and am usually around <3mbps during peak hours.

I don't have anything concrete, but I just checked the team's official online shop and found that all the current jerseys are on sale. Yeah, it's the end of the season, but you never find replica jerseys for $29. The new pac is definitely just the beginning of a Hawk overhaul.

Not going to sugar coat it, there was a sharp disappointment that swept through Philips at the end there, but I'll be damned if that game didn't leave some good impressions on fans.

After Mike got the poster over Mahinmi, the arena was in an absolute frenzy and each time they showed a new angle on the jumbotron we'd collectively lose our minds again. The shit was poetic.

Being so close to this guy and seeing him walk out victorious at our expense again really, really sucked. The drunk heckler yelling at him cheered me up though. Still, f*** you Larry.
