I don't think Zaza plays like a girl anymore. His improvements in defensive rebounding has been just as shocking to me as Marvin's 3s. Actually, I always thought Marvin could become a good 3 pt shooter if he worked on it. I never thought Zaza would put enough efforts on defensive rebounding.

I agree. I'd much rather develop Solo. We really could use a heavy center to stand up to big centers. However, #1 is #1, tap or legit.

Not much with Bibby/JJ/Flip hogging the PG minutes. We have to wait for Acie's development before that changes significantly.

Agree. Flip is hurting Acie's career by slowing down his development. Those 1 on 5 are atrocious. Why do you think Flip gets thrown out of so many teams.

Now that Flip is done with his typical early season surge, he will have a hard time to mesh with Smoove, because, a playoff bound team can't have more than one out of control player in the court at the same time. Thus, I think, Flip will only get minutes when both JJ & Smoove sits. Those ball hogging minutes behind Bibby should come to an end immediately.

Bibby is playing too well right now to sit for Acie. However, I don't think his body will keep up, because he always breaks down and plays through injury at a lower lever. Bibby also got tremendous chemistry with JJ. I think, Acie will have better chemistry with all the other players though. He will penetrate and make everyone else better, if/when JJ&Woody allow him the freedom. Needs to learn the game first. If Bibby takes a couple of games off for any reason, watch Acie soar. There is no reason to give Flip the backup PG minutes at this time. Absolutely no reason.

It will be hard to shut down our 3s with 4 deadly shooters. Portland has been shooting just as well with 4 guys shooting the lights out (Fernandez, Blake, Batum, Outlaw). Their 4 best shooters have 136 3s while the 4 top Hawks got 135. Although the Blazers have a much better inside game, I think, Hawks have better chance of sustaining this in the long run. Also, Blazers top 4 shooters score 40 pts combined. Our top 4 shooters score 63. That means our shooters use the 3 point threat to wreck havoc in many other ways.

There are 11 NBA players who have made >20 3s with 3pt% > 45% and Hawks have 3 of them. Marv + Mo + Mike.
