Neither Damien nor Marvin is the answer. I imagine that this swap would show minimal improvement to our team.

Everyone matures at a different age. Josh is still only 25-years-old. I know some 25-year-olds that still live with their parents. So at least he has that going for him....

I certainly don't blame him for taking the contract if the ASG were dumb enough to offer it, and I have come to expect very little from him so I don't blame him for losses. But after signing a huge contract, your production can go three ways: improve, stand pat, or decline. Even his most dedicated fan can admit that having his numbers decline at age 29 ACROSS THE BOARD besides his assists is hard to swallow. To routinely fail to visit the line even once at his size is a blatant indictment that the guy is plain lazy, among many other indicators. I have struggled to see how many on this board refuse to realize this. How does the saying go, "Mo money, mo problems.". Comes with the territory. I'm sure Joe could care less who blames him. He could buy me, make me his slave, and force me to watch his game tapes, making me hang myself and leaving MVP23 to carry the torch.
I don't agree that it's laziness. Joe is a good player; always has been. I think some of us expect him to be 'Kobe' good. That is just unrealistic.
Sure he has brought a little bit of it on himself by taking that big contract, but you really can't blame him for accepting that whopping contract. I would want his insanity checked if he turned it down!

Unfortunantly for Joe, when you get that big of a contract, the pressure will be put on your shoulders. He's just lucky he's not in New York

Actually they do still have an excuse. And it starts with Bibby.

Brooks because I live in Oregon now and I'm a HUGE Ducks fan. Also, he's better than Session by a wide margin.
-
I don't know what you're talking about.
You mean the streak of players wearing shorts in a game? I don't know the answer, but it's A LOT.

Over/under on when they get divorced. Any takers?!?!
j/k congrats

Congrats man! My parents are about to celebrate their 45th. I'm only going on six years of marriage myself, but I can't wait to celebrate my 50th (j/k, I can wait, I want these years to pass by slowly). Amazing accomplishment to be on the 50th!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

UPDATE: According to 730 Fox Sports in Memphis, Wright was shot at least a dozen times and possibly as many as 18 times.
:(
Well that certainly ain't no suicide.

ISO and 'clock milking' are the same thing cause one leads to the other. I guess you could milk the clock and move the ball but that's not what the Hawks do. Hopefully Drew changes that.

Met the guy twice. Really nice dude! Hope he is ok.

Wtf is minny doing? Sund must not be offering smoove. Wtf? I wouldn't follow that team at all if I lived up there.
Better yet teke, I would never live there. Even if I was born there I'd find a way out. As soon as I saw my first Moose, I'd be out...
Basically it's amazing to me that people settled there years ago and f'n stayed! You know what I mean. :rap:
-
So im not very impressed. However I'm gonna hold judgment to see if Sund has something up his sleeve.

I think some here overvalue Marvin's D. It's okay, nothing special.

I wasn't talking about his ability while he was sitting on the bench. I was talking about his ability while he was in the game. Ugly jump shot. Too many times I saw him drive to the basket and not have a clue about what to do once he got there. A couple of times I saw hit the bottom of the rim on an attempted layup.
I'm not a scout but maybe these are the things you all are seeing and these "deficiencies" (IMO) are a sure sign of greatness to come. I don't know.
Basketball (Like any other sport) can be very tough when not being involved in the action. Practice is not the same as in game play.
You saw his stats in that one game where he played the full 48 minutes. He's a little raw but I believe he can develop nicely.

LMAO at your bio Grizz
True story

I guess there is just something about "homerism" that isn't in me. I want the 2010-11 Atlanta Hawks to go 82-0 and sweep their way to a title just like everyone else that is a Hawks fan does. With that said, Jeff Teague, IMO, is not an NBA player and certainly is not a starting PG in this league. I have seen absolutely ZERO from Teague that leads me to believe he is NBA quality.
Now I do not dislike Teague or his demeanor the way I do Joe Johnson. I see Teague full of excitement on the court and when he is cheering on teammates from the bench. I see hustle and heart from the kid. Unfortunately I also see a kid out there doing his best but his best just isn't any good.
I honestly hope Teague proves me wrong. I hope he shows out in the Summer League and greatly improves his game. However it amazes me to see those wanting him in the starting lineup just because he's a young PG that plays for the Hawks.
He was a rookie that hardly got any minutes. Sample size much?
-
Cool, I just added you and a Scott Powell.... who I'm guessing saw this thread because he just added me. lol
Yeah he added me too. Good call.
-
Teague. We need to develop a PG and I think Teague is it. Lets get our own rising star for a change.
He needs to work on his jumper, but he can penetrate, plays good D and is extremely athletic.
I like the kid. With some extended playing time I think he can blossom into a star.

That's hilarious. Before I saw this, I already tweeted him.
BTW here's a link to my twitter if anyone wants to follow me. T
Oh yeah and I hit you up wit a follow Brotha!
