you put up a double-double against scrubs. lol with that being said I was heading down to the court to meet you and the rest of the guys and I found out through the 'Squawk on my phone. to say the least I was excited.
-
I prefer that bag of chips you gave me.Why not have a giant turd sandwich play the 3. We would have about the same level of production.
-
In a very sarcastic & lighthearted response to the question....
this an example of the bag of chips I personally received (jk lol) from friend and fellow user ATLscrub after Marvin was traded for Devin Harris. I wanted Marvin gone for one bag but lets just say for someone to convince me that Smoove is a viable option at the three you'd have to give me about 50.

couldn't have said it better!Legit SF defender at 6'-9", we have enough scoring so I am not worried about his offense. He is an active willing defender. If we are gonna run more, Brewer loves to get out and run and he is a good finisher.
-
Ferry has been targeting a defensive minded Small Forward ever since we've gotten our surplus of shooters. Brewer is pretty limited on the offensive end but with so many options here he could possibly be a good fit. Plus he isn't a pushover on defense, if he has a year or so remaining on his contract I could see him coming here so Ferry can keep that cap flexibility.Define legit. Brewer is pretty limited.

I don't see us re-signing TMac, not monetary-related but he just didn't have that energy earlier in his career.Just by judging the offseason, i'd say Ferry wants to get younger but competitive so TMac doesn't fit the mold. I do believe that he will trade some our shooters for a legit SF however. I wonder how many years Brewer has left on his contract.

Anyone else think he's taking a little shot at Teague and Horford/Smoove?SI.com: Well, I guess they were basically done by the time they called you - or very close.
Johnson: Yeah, they were done by then, and I guess they wanted to call and tell me. But it's no hard feelings. I'm fortunate enough to be coming to a great situation, to play with a great point guard and a great big man.
-
exactly. just because Joe could create his own shot people automatically assumed he was a #1 option. He never was/is/or will be.Joe isn't trash but he didn't live up to expectations. He is more of a solid 2-3 option on a team. Kinda like when he was with the Suns.

I totally agree with what you said. It's hard for people that live in the burbs to make it to the games this time of year. Those were games v. celler dweller teams AND school started. Attendenace always drops when school is in season. Hard to take your 3rd grader to a game when you live in the N. burbs. You'll get home around midnight. Just not worth it during the school year for games v. bad teams. For the year the Braves are 17th in the league at 1.8 million. Not great, but not terrible either. Atlanta is just not an in-person town unless you show you are really the thing

you bring up some very solid points but Baseball has roughly twice as many home games than Basketball so I think it's totally understandable that people don't want to come out all night. Plus if any of you guys live in the Metro Atlanta Area you know how the weather and our horrendous traffic also play a factor. I've seen plenty of fans at Braves games but you can't expect many fans to come out during the week for any sport.LMBO! I'm a big Braves fan.
Braves games are not always like that. Their best attendance came all on Phillies games because of the Phillies fans. Look at the games before the Chipper bobble head.
Braves' Attendance:
18,250 (36.7% full) 8/13/2012
16,427 (33% full) 8/14/2012
16,302 (32.8% full) 8/15/2012
33,157 (66.7% full) 8/16/2012 Chipper Jones Bobble Head
By the way I am also a huge Braves fan. Ever since I was 7 or so.

It does but they've only gone ONCE in their 46 year existence. Not impressive. So falcons going to the super bowl doesnt count?

IF we really wanna talk about heart. this guy has Smoove and Horford beat.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAcerISqI8s

if we could somehow give Smoove the winning and competitiveness that Horford brings we would finally have a superstar.but in all honesty, i've said this before and i'll say it again. we don't know how Smoove, Horford, or Teague will do this season with JJ gone and playing them is the only way to find out. should be full of surprises!

Orlando obviously did NOT want to trade Howard to us (or to anyone within the division) although we had the best offer on the table at some point during the talks.
Tom Haberstroh: Interesting nugget: Danny Ferry says Orlando refused to trade Dwight Howard within the division, eliminating the Hawks. Twitter
I hope they're worse than Charlotte. He approached the Orlando Magic about a trade for Howard in early July but was turned down. He never had the opportunity to share his vision with Howard and try to convince him that the dysfunction that Howard (an Atlanta native) was familiar with was a thing of the past. It never even got as far as being in position to convince Howard to sign an extension. “We had discussions with Orlando about Dwight Howard,” Ferry said. “They were apprehensive to trade him within the division.” Atlanta Journal-Constitution

of course! any team from New York area I have to go against. I grew up a huge Braves fan (still am) and i'll always remember how rude and tasteless some of their fans are. plus they always show up down here.

why would Houston possibly trade away Lin so quickly after prying him from the Knicks. This makes 0 sense.

although he was before my time this is still a very tragic end to a great basketball players' and individuals' life. Condolences to Dan Roundfield and his family/friends.

let's see Andersen is a 6'10'' Center/PF who is 34 years old. He roughly averaged 5 ppg & 5rbg w/Denver and had a salary of over 4 mil last season. Not bad numbers off the bench but with Zaza, Petro, Horford, and Jordan Williams being able to play center I see little room for him here.By the way, I can see Jordan Williams giving us the same numbers as Birdman.
-
if we can get them for a reasonable price I would love to see Delfino, JChill, or Pietrus here.

This is what I believe Ferry is attempting to do with this team. For this season, he plans on building up Smoove and possibly Teague (only reason I say this is because of the new assistant coach hire). Then in the following offseason he will attempt to get D-12 here. Giving us a superstar, maybe even another star, and a solid bench.

Marvin: Ahh yeahhh look at me yall imma bout to go Chef Boyardee up in this.
Josh:.......you know we're cooking duck right?

since the 'Squawk has been a little slow lately I figured its time we as fans play the officially unofficial game of the board: Caption This!
Today I found two pictures online that I thought were humorous, try to be creative and come up with the best line to describe them!
