Why Jason Collins and Joe Smith needs to come back:

Hear me out!...........First off there arent many Centers left that are a sure help, meaning we are in a position now that we either take shaq or not if we want a center from free agency that can surely help us! But after shaq its a bunch of nobodys that are on a level of our own Jason Collins. But the thing about what we would call a nobody like Jason Collins is that we dont give these so called nobodys opputunities. Last year Woody hardly gave anybody on our bench a chance. Hell I say we resign Joe Smith too. I know Joe Smith can be way more effective for us if given more minutes! That old timer still has that jumper he can knock down all the hawks have to do is set him up and I know joe Smith aint no punk when it comes to defending and rebounding! Joe is a smaller PF but he has ALWAYS played bigger than his size much like Al Horford is doing at center. As for Jason Collins I honestly think he can do much better and be effective on defense and hard rebounds if given minutes.Im not saying he's going to be a superstar if given minutes but im not going to call him a bum in the NBA, i mean get real this man has been to a NBA finals before and even though his team lost he was a reason they got there much like perkins is a reason the celtics get places. Jason Collins will bang we just need to use him more and make him feel like he's needed cause at this point I really feel that Woody has held back some of our players and especially our BENCH!

Woody held our bench back because of one HUGE REASON!......No playing time:

Of course Jamal Crawford got his minutes but everybody else minutes either decrease like ZAZA's or just had no minutes and that is a huge concern! We have a GREAT BENCH people Woody didnt know how to use them but im sure LD was aware of that at that time and he will change that cause that is one of the things many are looking at to change about the hawks as well as the offense of course which has already been addressed by LD. Though LD havent talked about playing the bench I know its in his plans to give players who deserve playing time their minutes on the court!

What each Bench player Brings if given minutes from LD:

Assuming we keep the same roster which is looking likely........dont be afraid cause we are b**chin and calling these players garbage and in reality they havent even had a real chance to show what they can do on the hawks like they have had on other teams!

Bibby-Assuming Teague starts which seems to be the plan until he really shows he cant handle it. Bibby will be great off the bench and probably even more effective! he will provide good scoring and we know he will if he get good minutes cause we have seen him play!

Jamal Crawford- No need to explain what he can do! the 6th man of the year will likely win it again and is prob the best scoring threat in the nba coming off the bench! perfect role for him!

mo evans- Mo recieved a major loss in PT this past year and honestly I think it affected his game alot. Mo is a solid defender who can knock down the 3.

Joe Smith- its always good to have a vet coming off the bench but if you dont play them its a old guy sitting and watching. Joe has heart and he plays bigger than he is! thats a plus! to add to it he can knock down a good mid range jumper. LD must play this guy like cleveland did when he was there!

zaza- zaza minutes dropped this year too. dont need to say much about zaza but he is young and still trying to get better with his skills. There maybe centers out there better than him but not many has that HEART and HUSTLE zaza has and we could use that in the post!

Jason Collins- we call him a bum but we aint even seen enough of him too judge him atleast not on the hawks! all im saying for a 7ft 255 pound guy who has been to the nba championship in his lifetime in the NBA to not get any minutes at all thats pretty crazy. I mean this guy even has a little jumper! Its akward looking but he knocks it down! He has good size and prob can be that help on rebounding horford is asking for if given the minutes!

jordan crawford- cant say alot about the rookie but i do know he's a added shooter to the bench and thats good too! I think he can be really good if he can manage to steal minutes from mo, bibby, or teague. as for stealing minutes from jj or jamal that will be a huge challenge for him!

Wow that bench looks pretty damn good to me! of course adding a player like shaq to the bench will be good but what we have isnt bad! We just need to play these guys. We have a good group to take over when the starters get tired. an as far as LD offense goes he has 6 shooters off the bench! Jason collins can hit jumpshots, Joe smith use to hit jumpers all day back in cleveland and its still there today, mo can hit 3's, bibby can of course shoot, the rookie can hit jumpers, and last but not least our sixth man of the year jamal crawford can hit jumpers all day!

The Hawks have become the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results. This is going to be essentially the same team with essentially the same coaching stuff. I don't expect anything more than a second-round beat down for the third year in a row.

Taking into account the cap space available I would say that I would go with Josh Boone and Earl Barron. Both can be signed cheap, no more than 3M$ for both and provide size, defense and rebounding.

Josh Boone is stil young can rebound, block some shots and score in the post, he is more than a decent backup at PF an C

Barron made a good job on the final games at NY, is a legit 7 footer and can rebound and play defense.

I want nothing with Kwame Brown and Kurt Thomas, we will have to pay more for them and will not provide any difference with this two.

Other option would be Tolliver but he is not a good defender, I think is redundant with Horford and Josh Smith.

Here are your choices: RandMO, Collins, Joe Smith....don't fool yourself if you think they are going to get anybody of substance.

I was listening to Hubie Brown and he said it plain and simply. We lost to a better team in Cleveland in 09 and a better team in Orlando in 2010. We have a great young core of guys who will learn how to win. Give it 1 or 2 more years before we dismantle this team. Give them a chance to succeed!

You are kidding right? This team has basically been the same the last 4 years...nothing is changing except we are all getting older.
