Josh Smith for Dooling/Yi/Humph and #3 (Derrick Favors)
Let me ask this question, Would you accept this trade if you were NJ. Add on top of that the fact that the salaries don't match up
-
I would trade:
76ers get: Josh Smith
Hawks get: #2 overall pick
2011 2nd round pick
2012 pick unprotected
Thad Young
Elton Brand (His contract is awful and his play is even worst.) Him and Okafor have fell off, at least Okafor isn't a max player.
Now I know Elton contract is Alan Henderson 2.0 but a lot worst. That by itself is murder to us. But if we get Derrick Favors that could change our fortune as a team. He has elite center potential and could be the next big thing. 76ers are reportedly shopping the pick with Brand attached, ugh.

Dwight Howard (draft measurement)
6'10.25 (6'9 w/o shoes)
240 pounds
7'4.5 wing span
9'3.5 standing reach
12/08/1985 18 years old during the combine
Derrick Favors (draft measurement)
6' 10.25" (6' 8.75" w/o shoes)
245 pounds
7' 4" wing span
9' 2" standing reach
07/15/1991 18 years old during the combine
I doubt that this works out salary wise for us, and there is no way that the 76ers give up all of that for just J-Smoove

Sam Mitchell May 29th

I wanna know what you guys think of him as a player; and do you like drafting him in the second round>

C'mon folks. He's terrible. Faced with any adversity, he sucks. No Joe, and it's over. We still have no offense, 5 years later. There's a reason he doesn't have an extension. Sund watches the games.
Sorry to bust your bubble, but Woody won't be fired. Sund will re-sign Joe and Woody, but I do think he will try to make a move to obtain one of the PGs from NO

Calm down people, if he is serious about buying the team he is probably just going to be a minority owner of the team just like Usher is in Lebronville and Jay Z is in Jersey. I seriously doubt that he could buy the team and I doubt that the owners would sell their majority stocks right now with our team being one of the youngest and most exciting teams in the league.

True but like I said it's better than no one at all.
Definitely better than no one at all. I'm just saying that I would rather have Joe back next year and not have to worry about who to get to replace him
-
He's a good player, but he isn't on Joe's level

sorry bout that last post, tried to show the first one i did that had the Hawks beating the Lakers in the finals

Comments like this are just astounding to me. You think the Hawks would have one of the top 2 records in the league with a different coach? You think that coaching is the only reason the Hawks don't have a better record than the Lakers? I do think in the end woodson is going to change teams and the Hawks will win fewer games next season than they did this season. Be careful what you wish for.
I don't think they would have a better record than the Lakers do right now, but I do believe they would be in a closer race with Orlando for the divisional lead and the number 2 seed if they would have made a few late game adjustments in games that we should have won.

Signing a 30 year old SG to a six year max deal is scary, but the rest of our options are not much better. It's either sign Joe, be a 6th-8th seed, or rebuild. (I.E. Trade Josh or Horf for a superstar or a number 1 pick).
I'd rather do a sign and trade with Joe before trading both Josh and Al
-
My thoughts exactly. Stop the Joe Johnson max contract threads

Why we boo the holy hell out of Lebron and D-Wade, but cheer Kobe I'll never understand.
With that said, I've been watching the Lakers all season long and they really do have a Steelers type following all over the country. So it's really not just us. Only thing is...we take it to another level with the "Kobe" and "MVP" chants. :slap1:
Speaking of chants, do we have anything to chant when somebody on our team has the ball. I've been watching pretty much every game this year and I have yet to hear a player chant
-
This isn't the type of game you want a divided crowd on. The majority of the crowd needs to be pro Hawks
-
This stupid rule needs to be changed, even for the Hawks it really doesn't matter. Either they get the Magic or the Cavs, pick your poison
-
To bad I didn't hear about this, I would've loved the chance to see Smitty and Smoove
-
That is because Atlanta is listed as the 3 seed.
There is no possible way for Atlanta to get the three seed even if they have a better record than Boston simply because Boston won their division. The only way Atlanta could move up from the 4 seed is for them to win the division.

I was thinking more of the Hawks cap space. That NJ partial lineup is appealing
