Larry Drew could be the "Bill Belichick" of the NBA, you never know. An assistant who makes good. He's paid his dues as an assistant and knows the game and the Hawks roster...............................inside and out. Be ready for some pleasant surprises.

AJ is one bright energetic successful little dude. He would be an awesome Hawks coach. The players would welcome him with open arms. Fans too !!

You may be right about the part..........................."what he spends" !!! Just wishful thinking. I look at the Falcon franchise and see what a H U G E difference Arthur Blank the owner has made with his savy, passion for excellence, passion for Atlanta, and of course.............his MONEY. It would be great if ALL Pro sports teams in Atlanta were owned by the same kind of owner.............................the same kind of passion for excellence.

According to most analysts in the know the Hawks don't have a single A+ "Game Changer" player, but do have several B "Very good regular season" players. No dominant point guard or center. Woodson was a very average, learning on the job, defensive minded coach. Weak on offense. Mediocre motivator. Below average in making adjustments, in game....................when needed. You add all that up and what you get is a team that plays well in the comforts of home during the regular season, mediocre on the road, and below mediocre against a real contender in the playoffs. Adios Woody.

At this point an energetic, bright, knowledgable assistant is more attractive than an old "retread". With some serious do dilligence, a lucky roll of the dice, and just old fashioned thorough hard work....................they could strike gold.

Yes it does take tons of dough, no question about it. But................Usher is waaaaaay more than just an entertainer. He is very, very talented in ALL areas of his craft, writing, creating, producing, investing, and yes...........entertaining. I think we would all be surprised to learn what his NET worth is. And, it grows daily.

I really think Avery Johnson is intelligent enough to CREATE good team chemistry. He's a superb communicator and knows how to "reach" different kinds and different levels of players. He's one sharp little dude.

Then Joshua would have to grow up a bit, wouldn't he !!!

I agree with your "dump" philosophy but the Hawks will only get "bank foreclosure" offers for the comatose players involved.
