I heard a couple rumors this afternoon about the Nets possibly bringing in the Kings as a third team in the Josh deal with Demarcus Cousins coming to Atlanta. Makes sense. Bad attitude in, bad attitude out. Thoughts?

@Jaybird Honestly, I have a lot of respect for Teague but he is a pg who has always struggled with confidence issues. In my opinion you either start building your team around him or you trade him while his trade value has peaked. @Sasuke: I would love to not involve Teague but I don't see LAL doing that trade without him involved. The only reason I included Orlando in the trade is because with that lineup you are going to need a forward who can shoot, a gaurd who can score, and some cap space to acquire a new pg. Yes you are an older more injury prone team but again you do have experience and defense. Yes you also acquire Artest who is nuts but then again you replace josh smith and Jamal Crawford with some players who are a little more team oriented.

1. Orlando 2. Miami 3. Boston 4. Atlanta. 5. Chicago 6.Bucks 7. NY 8. ? Just because we haven't made any moves doesn't make us a worse team? Its the same core that is still going to grow, get more mature, and get better. The only one declining at the moment is Bibby.

If we did sign shaq to the mle (if he would take it) do you think popularity (ticket sales, jersey sales, advertisment, ect) would make up the lost money from luxury tax and escrow?

How much luxury tax would the Hawks have to pay if they signed Shaq to the MLE?

If we did end up dealing with cleveland to get shaq, which I disagree with, I wouldnt mind making it a more sophisticated trade and bringing Mo Williams to Atlanta with Shaq. I don't see teague being ready this year and Bibby is just getting too old.

First of all, I'm definatly not an expert on trade/ trade situations but this is something I've been thinking. I know Melo wants out of Denver. What if you did Josh Smith and Marvin Williams for Carmelo Anthony, Resign Joe, and use your MLE to get a big center, perhaps big z. Your lineup would look something like this: Teague/Bibby Joe/ Crawford Melo/ Mo AL/ Joe Smith?? Big Z?/ ZaZa Like I said, not an expert, Denver would probably want more as well, I don't know. Just a thought. I think for the city of atlanta it's important to try and get a "star player" to increase ticket sales. I'm pretty sure if somehow we got melo it would give Joe some incentive to resign. I think if that was our lineup we would have the biggest, longest, most athletic starting 5 in the NBA. It would definalty please alot of people that marvin and josh are gone as well. I'm not ready to jump ship on those two unless something like this was the case..
