He's not going to like Memphis.

But there's no need for resigning him for the 2012-2013 season. I think we can win on a solid team effort and using our athlecticism against Orlando. Orlando isn't even good anymore and they might start missing the playoffs after this upcoming season.4 regular season division games and a strong chance that we could play then 4-7 times in the playoffs. Hell yes I'd pay a guy to sit on my bench if he's truly among the 2-3 best in the league at defending a particular player, which a multitude of stats prove. That game where he was hurting and giving little effort vs Zaza means nothing as he's destroyed Zaza and Al multiple times over the years but he's never had success against Collins. Hell just the 4 regular season games can mean an 8 game swing between the 2 teams.

Just like BK didn't know about Chris Paul...They didn't know about that kid.
-
Sigh, but once you come into the NBA, I know it's going to suck missing the playoffs your first 5 years.
-
Braves suck for getting Minor in that draft..This kid is Mike Trout to me. A diamond that needs to be in the right situation to shine.

When does Summer League start.. I haven't seen one in 2 years.
-
Miller wants alot of $$$. Machado is younger/playmaker/cheaper.Machado will never see NBA minutes...Go sign MillerThis will be a waste of time
-
So you mean to tell me that you would pay a guy $1 million to sit on your bench to only start/play 5-6 game per year against centers that will have their way with Al? Waste.Dwight wasn't playing hard. I remember that game. Zaza outplayed Dwight. That almost never happens. We shouldn't use that as a standard but more of of an anomaly.
-
Finally, that means the Hawks are going to play there 2nd round pick, and he's actually good. I don't know if he's a tough guy or a nice guy but he's going to give you good production in points, rebounds, and defense.
-
Sorry @MaceCase but what? I didn't understand that clearly
-
He might as well retire because I see no fit for him here in Atlanta. Remember last year when we face Orlando with no Horford and no Collins? Well we beat them because of a solid team effort. That game made me realize, what's the point of Collins? He has no offensive game, he isn't fast and he's play scrub minutes for $1 million. He isn't worth it.
-
No, Jason Collins. Waste of $1 Million for the last 3 years.AgreedEveryone is a key contributor outside of Dampier and Etan Thomas if you really think about it.
-
I heard Kidd is considering playing for the Nets or Knicks, but I have no clue why since it seems that New York is going to sign the man formerly known as Linsanity, and Brooklyn may get DWill after all.
-
@MaceI don't think he wants to come to the NBA for just the money alone. It's every NBA Player's dream to win a championship, and Atlanta is the best opportunity for him to do that, out of the teams interested in him.
-
I'm just saying that he could turn out to be our Isaiah Thomas of last year. People really undervalued him and look what he did for Sacramento. He basically ran Ty Evans out of the starting PG role and the reason why he won't resign with them. He's a diamond in the rough and I know if someone give's him the chance, he's going to have a successful career.Mace is going v. me. Don't pay him any mind, he really doesn't care about Machado. This is still about me and the previous talks of Mayo to him.

well i can see your point.

Well we have no true backup PG. And this is the best situation for him to win some games, so why not?Do you think a guy who's trying to break into the NBA is positively concerned about whether a team made the playoffs or not? That would actually work as a negative towards the Hawks because it would mean he's less likely to crack the rotation or that the team might favor more established guys. A younger rebuilding team would be his ideal spot to get paid and build a resume to continue to get paid.

-
We have to be the favorites on his list, because we actually made the playoffs this year. Plus we have guys who can do real well for the pick n roll. July 1st, here we come...
-
Scott and Jenkins make alot of sense if we sign key free agents. They can really help out in scoring, and I hope that I can see them both get 10-15 minutes per game to contribute to this team.
-
He could be a real good back up SF.
-
That contract<<< No one's going to take it. And even when we trade him, who's his replacement? He's a top 10 SG in the NBA and you can't replace his numbers easily.
-
Yeah last year sucked, but Enes Kanter really didn't have an impact season, and I think it worked out for the best.Let's just hope that this isn't like last year when we thought we might be getting Al Jefferson or Enes Kanter and ending up doing squat.
