  1. This "race" thing as usual has been completely blown out of porportion.   I've always said Gearon was the bad guy in the group.  Danny should be back right now, it's his team whether the reverse racists like it or not.

Hoo boy, this guy. You're right, bud. Racism is a myth*! Everything about this whole saga screams "made up drama."

    * except whatever the heck reverse racism is

  2. Kevin Love would be a great fit in Atlanta (2016 FA)

Not sure I agree. Let's not forget that defense is half (HALF!) of the game. Love can shoot and Love would fix some of our rebounding problems, but does anybody see him playing the type of team defense we demand from all our guys? I don't.

Plus we don't need yet another PF. Gimme a sixth man-type 7-footer that rebounds and protects the rim and I'm good. Could even be a rookie. Willie Cauley-Stein anybody?

  3. Early last season I remember giving Hollinger heck over the Grizzlies sitting in last-place out West in terms of playoff-odds ("Does Hollinger check the Hollinger rankings anymore?"). Safe to say they turned things around.

Also notable... at least for the moment, seventh-best lottery odds in the NBA!

TOTALLY forgot about our pick swap rights. You just made me realize that if the Nets bottom out by trading all their dudes... cha ching!!!

  4. What if they asked for Millsap and Korver? Just a hypothetical.

What would you need in return and would you ever say yes? I don't think I would.

Millsap and Korver for Wiggins? Yes. In a heartbeat. Without thinking twice.

Or did you mean Millsap and Korver in addition to Horford? In that case, no thanks. That's way too much I think.

  5. I'd like to say you can tell who is in massive amounts of debt on this board just by looking at their impulse to free agency. Or who bought a virtual boy and sega dreamcast and all those other fancy game systems that bombed.

I liked your post, @hawksfanatic, but shut your damn mouth about the Sega Dreamcast! That thing was, is, and always will be amazing!

  6. I think it's also important to note that Scott Brooks is quite possibly the worst coach of an elite basketball team in NBA history. He has no offensive scheme. None. He just rolls the ball out and expects Durant and Westbrook to carry the team on EVERY SINGLE PLAY. That works out okay for guys like Westbrook and Durant who are preposterously gifted, but for mere mortals (if you can call the average NBA starter a mere mortal) that goes over horribly. Put a guy like Sefolosha into an ACTUAL offensive system and he's going to flourish. Just watch.

  7. How do you figure? Horford would still be playing center just like Noah will be in Chicago. We still have Milsap last time I checked who is entrenched at PF. Gasol would play both PF and C minutes in both places.

So not only do you know for a fact things going on in Ferry's head but you also can predict the future in alternate universes? That's amazing!

  8. I'm actually sold on Monroe now.

I took a look at his position-by-position advanced stats, instead of his overall advanced stats, and he looks even better than his supporters are saying. I didn't realize it before but last year he played more at the 4 than at the 5, crazy as that sounds.

When you look at his stats as a pure 5, he's great at offense and actually not bad on defense. Where he struggled was when he was stuck guarding 4s, probably because he's not quick enough. But with Al at the 4 he could concentrate on being a pure 5.

    Bring him home, DF!
