  1. hasn't bee reported anywhere? i have read it in the ajc, other websites, and right here by many posters.
  2. it's funny to me that terry is not a good pg here, but would be a major upgrade in utah.
  3. it's a great way to view the site. you get the post title only and then, in parenthesis, you see how many new posts are in that thread. it's the only way to navigate the site, imo
  4. who was the great pg on the lakers teams? or michael's bulls? seems to me as the team shares the responsibilities of the point guard role, or the post-up role, or the shooter role, what does it matter who wears what position tag? could mcgardy be a pg? not in the traditional sense, but could he have some point guard-type responsibilities, i would say he already has assumed some of those, just like michael and scottie did during their run, and just like kobe did during their run.

  6. is it just my machine or why doesn't the top poster and threads link work?
  7. i wouldn't call 50 win seasons a curse, which the Hawks have had after nique. they haven't progressed past the second round of the playoffs, sure, but neither did nique. maybe we should call it the curse of atlanta, since the hawks haven't won big since moving from st. louis. or maybe it's the curse of smith, in that the team has been out of the playoffs since smith was dealt. or wait, maybe the curse of blaylock, and we all have to spark up an l to break the curse. pretty stupid
  8. in a farce that was a innuendo filled article by the new york post? please. theo may be frustrated by defense but he has never said he is unhappy in atlanta. but, that's right, you guys believe everything you read in the new york post. quality paper.
  9. i'll believe it when it's in the ajc. dallas doesn't know what's going on here. the ajc has done a good job reporting this stuff and they will be the ones who know when it's done over the other cities. of course, everyone here seems to believe other cities over our own, so maybe we shold have a party now that dallas says it's over.
  10. knight never said he could go after players like odom because it was well known they weren't going to touch the mle because of the luxury tax. i think knight is saying they are not trading ratliff because there are no centers coming back in any of these discussions. kurt thomas? chris wilcox? they aren't centers. theo is only 6'10-11 but he has the wingspan and shot nblocking ability of a center, which thomas and wilcox don't.
  11. when all this talk about ratliff being traded flies in the face of what the ajc says about ratliff being traded. people are so ready to believe sources that don't come from atlanta that they are willing to believe a source in miami over michael lee in atlanta. marc berman of the post completely makes up a story with facts so flimsy they couldn't hold a feather, but people take it as gospel because it comes from a foriegn source. billy knight says ratliff won't be traded in two michael lee articles in the ajc but that gets completely ignored in the discussion. think about if the comments from knight appeared in another paper other than the ajc, would you believe it then?
  12. unfortunately, all that matters as a pg is wins, and while jason terry has gone up in wins the last three years, the team has not been a winner. that's why he didn't get a bigger deal last year, and why the hawks should be cautious with this one.
  13. i read that newble was getting four or five years at around 15 million. that's too much for the hawks, especially given their cliff threshold status
  14. these are two guys that have been mentioned favorably by some guys here
