WE cannot resign him for one year of the Spurs cut him. If they however trade him to another team and they cut him - I think we can.
Thank you for that info

Bro, get with the times. Defense is everything from that position in the modern NBA and Okongwu working on that shot. Get gotta get the minutes.
I shared a depth chart and most of the starting 4 was defensive minded.
How many mid range shots has he taken in his professional career? I just don't see it. But I respect your take

I had a lineup at first that looked like this.
PG - Trae ( 34 ) - Murray ( 14 )
G - Murray ( 18 ) - Bogi ( 26 ) - Huerter ( 4 )
F - Hunter ( 24 ) - Huerter ( 22 )
PF - Collins ( 32 ) - Okongwu ( 8 ) - Hunter ( 8 )
C - Capela ( 28 ) - Okongwu ( 20 )
But that's just an 8 man rotation. So if JJ doesn't crack the rotation, and Nate goes with 8, Okongwu should at least get 8 minutes at PF. Hopefully that would increase as the year went on, and either Bogi or Huerter see less minutes overall.
Big O not playing 4 man, provides zero spacing there. Collins will be traded. Hunter needs to play 3 so he can not get so banged up all the time. Mins will be available at 4.

Actually odds are Charlotte pick will convey, Travis said so himself.
It's top 14 protected for the next 2 years. Depends on if they can retain Bridges. They haven't exactly done anything to improve their team so far.

I think y'all sleeping on JJ. In the few times he got on the floor with Trae, he more than belonged. He's going to make an impact next year.

It's essentially 2 first and 2 seconds. The Charlotte pick will most likely covert to 2 seconds. It's time to win now. Star player is in his prime and can always recoup assets with trades. Who cares about the pick swap. Don't see a Spurs rebuild finishing with a better record in 26 so the pick swap will be meaningless. Still have assets to make another few moves. A plus

I got more, Atlanta likes him at 4/100 which is the same as JCs. This is higher than his real market value but not a massive overpay like JC.
New York and Murray.
I was told NY made a significant offer including Cam Reddish and Randle in a package deal with SA. SA is not interested in Randle at all and Randle market is give us two 1sts for him status around the league.
That said, that's the only bit of detail I got outside of this. They even offered Evan and Cam and some picks.
The Spurs seem like they are playing themselves if you ask me but I don't have the full picture as SA has closed ranks. Everything he got is from NY side and you know, it can be a tad bias to the boys in Manhattan.
I eluded to a deal like this yesterday but you laughed at me

I’m about to have Watson flashbacks of the deal almost being done and then a second team swoops in at the 11th hour.
Knicks. They would do 3 firsts and Reddish

I think we didn't get to see his full athletic potential in college. Recovering from a severe knee sprain can hinder your bounce. There's high school clips of this dude skywalking at this same size.
7 foot wingspan. I think his lateral agility improves once he is fully healthy. He can get his 3 off with a live dribble or off ball. Very active off ball with cuts and repositions. And he can knock that shit down with some of the best consistency in not only this draft, but probably the last few drafts. Shooting can translate to on court time sooner than later.
It's the tools that's intriguing. He's a legit 6'6" 225-230 guard that is a knockdown 3 point shooter right now. What we don't know is will he realize that 7 foot wingspan combined with that frame can equal an elite defender. He's far from that now but has all tools. Definitely needs to add a few dribbles to his bag but has flashed a first step but not with any type of consistency. He also flashed an ability to finish through contact. Feel like with the injury in the back of his mind, he didn't play nearly as aggressively as he can.
High ceiling player that can help immediately because of his ability to knockdown the deep ball right now. Can really develop into a great player if he wills himself too. Ball is in his court and will play with a guy that will love the spacing he will eventually provide. Best pick we could make at 16.

There will be good that comes from this. Nate will be fired. This showing almost guarantees that.

Jeez man. A win is a win but... They go on a big run and we take a TV timeout... We then promptly run no post TO play and watch Trae and Hunter dribble into a shot clock violation.
We won tonight because Trae is great but damnit man, tired of just playing basketball like we at the Y. Call a damn play, DAMN

Nice to see a guy be strong to the rim. Definitely looks like the most seasoned guy on the summer league roster in Martin.
