Would be able to help us right now? We seem to need a ball handling guard or wing that can handle, pass and play good defense. I know I know, it sounds like a really good player that we probably can't get via trade, but there has to be some players out there. Which would you target to help what we are going through right now.

I would love a Brent Barry/Bobby Sura type of a guy, none come to mind though...

    What do you guys think?

Boris diaw with his passing and court vision, he will fit in the system with the hawks, but the problem is he's getting older.

Hawks need a scorer though . It would be the nice if they find one that's loyal not just for the money.

Also, no need to rush things and look for a trade right away..  give  this team a whole season, let the new and younger players develop and get familiarize with the team then make adjustments on the roster again after the season.

I think Gay is a perfect fit with Dennis and Baze/Thabo. Dude has the gene to be a skilled passer and goes to work of the dribble. I also like his lenght and abillity to play PF.

Rudy gay is not consistent player, he's having a lot of ups and downs. I'm not confident on him joining the hawks.

We had like 4 guys show up tonight. Dennis was amazing, Dwight was great, Kent had a good game and THJ had a good game as well. But that's it. I mean...that's it. Moose got 29 minutes and a start and got zero points against one of the weakest defensive teams in the entire NBA. Korver and Delaney looked horrible.

I keep pounding the drum about getting Korver out of the line up and I'm not going to stop. Bud is a confident enough coach to just give Prince and Thabo Korver's minutes between them and sit him if he's going to play like this.

Better to trade Korver than just put him the bench. He will still play the same even coming out as a bench player. But im not gonna give up on Korver yet imma wait till the end of the season.

I have a right to speak my mind because I have endured all Atlanta sports  teams as a dedicated fan since the early 70s. I get tired of all the excuses on here for this team. Everyone always has a goal to make the eastern finals and nothing else. At least  Falcons fans hope to win it all even if not realistic.  You act like Bud is your best friend or something. I don't ever whine about or confront other people's post on here.

Every season there will be always an excuse lol.

Either or but I say get korver out of here . He don't fit with these new players and I think turnovers can go down a bit with THJ in the starting lineup but he needs to build chemistry with the rest of the starters.

I hope bud starts making changes asap...korver need to be shipped out I can't stop saying it.

have to wait till all star break or next season to make trades. I also think Baze should be in the discussion too. Prince can take his spot or Thabo.

  6. Give credit to Suns, they played great and shooting the ball really well.

For Hawks, Turnovers still a problem for them, they can't make a momentum when they make a turnover, and also decision making too, Baze quick long range 3 with 24 secs left on the clock not a good idea.

I think it's still a progress for this team, and still trying to figure it out playing together.

Dennis played his heart out, and did everything he could. Defense was average but not happy with this team turnovers and decision making.

If hawks can't figure out how to take care of the ball, and still make poor decisions making, they are gonna have a very rough season..

He's a good coach. But I think we should have kept Ferry. Coaches do not make good GMs generally. You need the coach to win now, but you need a GM who can sit back and take the long view.

Agreed, Ferry decided to step down so all the drama won't distract the hawks.

That's a lie.   Because the last game we won, was when Korver was on the bench.

There are also other games Hawks won a game with Korver starting. So, you just going to say everytime Hawks lose a game, Korver should be bench? How about Dennis, Baze, and Howard? Shouldn't be they bench also if they didn't win a game?

  9. Dang, I really feel sorry for Tiago. I still appreciate for  what he did for the Spurs. His injury and surgery making it really hard for him to get back on the court, and i'm been waiting so long to see him play (Healthy) with the Hawks. I wish him the best. I think it's better to let him go and recover from his injury, then find a replacement backup big.

Popovich got those rings for him.

You think Popovich did all the work to get those rings, it took team effort players to coaching staff. Bud was a big part reason why Spurs were really successful during their championship runs. Pop even said Bud was his right hand man, and he kept it a secret. Also, when Bud was still with the Spurs, he knows the Spurs system than anyone else in the team.

  11. Hawks really need a scorer.

Dwight Howard is really not a scorer, he's more of a rim protector and helping on rebounds. Without Jeff and Horford, hawks are now struggling offensively compared to last year.

Also, I hope that Dennis will evolve to a starting PG we all expecting to be..  So right now I'm okay with him making mistakes and struggling because I know it's part of the process and it's a long season.

Korver seems like can't get open looking shots as he used to.. because every team in NBA know that he's a shooter and the only way he can get an open shot is through screens or transition. They figured out how to defend him and they respecting him more.

Even though it's good to see hawks making mistakes and struggling early in the season, hopefully they improve and learn from their mistakes as they play more games throughout the season, but I'm still worried about this team when playoff starts.

  12. Boston, Cavs, Pacers,Lakers, Clippers,Thunder, Knicks, Warriors, Spurs..

I mostly watch all the hawks games to be honest, unless if they are on a losing depressing streak or playing teams that have really low win percentage.
