Im not surprised, but still smart move by Coach Bud. Looking at hawks schedule, they will be facing Toronto on Friday. It's gonna be a tough game, coach Bud probably wants all of his players to be fresh before they face the Raptors.

Lol, I actually felt so calmed after looking at the pic.

Phillips arena was packed again today, 5th straight time sold out tickets!!! 

There were about 4-5 Sportscenter Top Plays this afternoon. I won't forget he Dennis turn-away anytime soon, that kid got too much style.

It just shows that how a confindent player he is!!!!

Fellow Spurs fan here. Not saying we're better than last year's Spurs, but a little more explosive maybe, on both ends?

In a short, novice opinion, we try to manufacture what Tim and Manu do with multiple players and a few strategic innovations depending on the matchup from Bud. Outside of that, exact replica?

more younger too lol, but it's refreshing to see another team besides the Spurs that really play for each other, not rely on one guy.  You gotta give credit to the Hawks players not just Coach Bud and Danny Ferry. These guys really work hard, and put a lot of effort every game, they play amazing defense! they have great team chemistry! and they really enjoy playing for each other!

I loved that. That was some Joe Johnson over Leon Powe stuff with the long setup and the player/crowd reactions.

 

I see some people are hating on the crowd, but when was the last time we had a Wednesday night crowd that good? And we weren't even playing the Lakers/Bulls/LeBrons/etc. They could have been louder before the great ending, but compared to our usual crowds they were the Cameron Crazies. Baby steps... 

 

The downside to improving attendance is it's not so easy to get cheap tickets anymore. I was checking for the Thunder and Warriors last weekend and the only multiple seats left were at stupid resale prices. A few years ago I was able to buy $11 playoff tickets against the Celtics from Hawks.com the day of the game. Oh well. I'll gladly accept that change if it means the Hawks are winning.

Great Game!!! Awesome run at the end!!!

I don't want to see Hawks moved to another city. That would suck big time for Long time Atlanta Hawks Fans. But im sure Hawks will not go anywhere and will definitely stay in Atlanta.

Why you guys hating on Thabo??? He's an important piece of the hawks especially on the defensive end. Coach Bud always relies on him to defend the best scorers on the other team. Thabo is also one of the reason why Hawks are ranked 1st in the league. It's not always about the offense... That's why basketball is a teamsport, and Hawks are clearly showing that!!!

Phillips arena will be rocking on Wednesday night!!!! I wish I can be part of it,, but sadly i live in Los Angeles :( but I will still cheer for them all the way from here !!!! :) Go Hawks go!!!!

Also, I can't actually wait to see how Tinderbox date night going to looks like lol :)

The Hawks are the best team in the East right now.

Attendance is up significantly over last year.

TV viewership is up significantly as well.

The Hawks are being respected league wide and casual fans are starting to pay attention to us.

 

If that's not improving the image of the franchise then I don't know what is. 

 

As to him being a victim, he was a victim of a cowardly owner who was intimidated by him and released an unknown to Ferry recording of a private meeting. Now I don't "feel sorry" for him because of that but in that regard he certainly was a victim.  And he wasn't a villain either as he didn't hurt anyone by his private reciting of a scouting report. 

 

In any case he doesn't deserve to have his career be over because of this incident.

On wednesday vs the Grizzlies, i wish Hawks fans would wear T-shirts "We want Danny Ferry back!"

Danny Ferry is not racist, him saying "he has an African in him" doesn't mean he's already against African people.. That's also not enough proof that he's racist..

"he has an African in him" Danny Ferry might be complimenting Luol Deng that he has strong heart for African Culture. For example, saying "he has an Irish in him" that just means that person is proud being an Irish.

Luol Deng already forgived Danny Ferry for what he said. He also thinks that Danny Ferry is not racist. Tim Duncan said Danny Ferry is not racist. I still don't get why some people want to get rid of Danny?

Danny made this organization better, hiring the right players that can fit the system and hiring coach Bud. That's why Hawks are now ranked number 1 right now in Eastern Standings.

I want Danny Ferry back!!!! And he's not racist!!!!!!

I'll still take Dennis for his defense, his shooting will come around.

Dennis is doing fine in learning the system, its when he tries to do too much by forcing passes and getting careless with the ball that's the problem.

Yeah Dennis is still young, he still have a lot of time to develop his game. But overall he's a really good back pg behind Jeff Teague.

I think when Ferry signed Thabo/Bazemore he was hoping the two would combine to basically fill the role that Manu fills for the Spurs. Bazemore with his slashing and Thabo with his outside shooting. 

i think he signed them because of their defense, they are really great defenders.
