  1. I hope Hawks doesn't underestimate the Lakers, they might have a bad record but they play more freely now and relax care free basketball since they know they aren't going to make the playoffs. grin.gif

  2. I know Austin Daye very well, hes a former spur. I watched his game plenty of times.

He's been traded by pistons, raptors, and spurs.

He's really long but all he do is shoot 3 pointers thats why Spurs got rid of him..., His game style is almost similar as Pero, camp behind three point line and shoot.. he's more consistent making them compared to Pero Brick shots.

Not a bad pickup, but i prefer Pero because Daye is really skinny like toothpick. Pero has a statue body, really useful for setting screens than Daye's toothpick body.

  3. Best way to describe tonight's game..

but seriously, give bench a lot of credit! they played harder than the starters, they showed that they really care more, and cut the lead to 10 in the 4th quarter. Starters taking it for granted, think they playing against a scrub team, and it's going to be an easy win. They need to start respecting every opponent the same, and always compete hard every game, no matter whoever they are facing against on the court.

i know Hawks will learn from tonight's lost, and make a bounceback on the next game.

  4. Coach bud has a lot of playoffs and championships experience. Hawks have a lot of  playoffs experience too but usually getting knocked out in 1st round or 2nd round. For new Hawks players, Thabo have a lot playoffs experience with OKC and Bazemore this is his first playoff experience. Schröder, got some experience last year, and pretty much most of the Hawks players have playoffs experience from last year.

The way Hawks playing  this season, and being fully healthy, I like Hawks chances this year playoffs.

  5. Good win but why did Bud sub out the starters with several minutes to go in the 4th?  I don't care if this was a meaningless game by then and we were killing them.  We have yet to prove ourselves in the postseason.

These guys don't get paid to rest, they should have run harder after Bud gave most of them the night off last time.  Every minute, every possession is important during the regular season.  We shouldn't try and plan ahead at this point.

We want to be 100 percent healthy before playoffs starts. That's what good coaches do..

  6. Which team do you think will be the toughest matchup for hawks in the playoffs and why? (Talking about east teams only not the west).

For me, I think Toronto Raptors or Cleveland Cavaliers will be toughest matchup for Hawks. Why? Raptors are very physical and grimy team, that's their team identity and I think Hawks will have a hard time matching Raptors physicality. Cleveland Cavaliers have a lot of Talent, and superstars on their roster, I fear that their talents will outlast and beat Hawks in 7 game series.

I really do hope that Hawks will reach and win the NBA finals because all of their hardwork they showed to us this season will be meaningless if they don't win or reach the finals.

  7. You must read the quoted post as if Kenny Rogers were singing it. Uh huh

Lol! No, i just wanted to point those facts why Hawks are having a lot of success. I didn't ignore his post, i still watched his breakdown video, and i really liked it.

Also, im a big fan of Kenny Rogers music.gif

  8. They rely on each other, they play for each other, they  trust each other, they have strong team chemistry, they have coach bud, they have danny ferry, they play hardcore team defense, they execute on offense, i can list more of their recipes in success but at the end of day its all about team basketball and winning. There's definitely something special happening in Atlanta.

Really good video by the way!

  9. Amazing game! You can tell Hawks have stronger team chemistry and more connected compared to Cavaliers team with superstars roster.

Im sure coach Bud will rest the starters tommorow against the Sixers.

Congrats to Nique on his statue! This win was definitely for him!

  10. I know it will be an unpopular opinion here but I will say it anyway, all the Josh booing made me uncomfortable. The thing is he is a hometown boy and probably the only guy in the league who has a Hawks tattoo. He wasn't perfect but he gave us good nine seasons.

Besides that it was one of the best games that I watched in Philips Arena. It was a total playoff atmosphere and I am proud of our guys for squeezing a win.

I think it's disrespectful of him calling Hawk fans bandwagoners. Im not gonna lie im a bandwagon fan, i became a  Hawk fan since Coach Bud arrived in Atlanta. Im not offended if  im being called as a bandwagon fan and i don't care, i really enjoy watching and appreciate Hawks beautiful team basketball.  But still it's disrespectful of him callling hawk fans bandwagoners because not all Hawk fans are bandwagoners.. Sure there are  some Hawk bandwagon fans, but not all of them.. All NBA teams have bandwagon fans. Plus, Hawks fan base is increasing because of all the success they having right now.

He need to give some time for himself to think why he got traded by Hawks then Hawks became a better team without him, and Pistons traded him then Pistons became a better without  him. It might happen again with the Rockets..  And that's big the reason why Hawks fans were booing at him.

  11. Amazing comeback! Hawks were downed by 10, they still stayed together, kept on fighting and won the battle at the end. Just amazing!!! I really love the team chemistry in this team!!! The defense was superb in the 2nd half! Horford and Millsap defensive blocks in the 4th quarter were beast!

  12. As I've stated before, comparing Bud to what we've had here in the past is like comparing someone in Special Ops to someone in the Special Olympics. For the first time since Nique's heyday, Hawks Basketball MEANS something again. Not to just the diehards and dedicated that have suffered for years on this site but to the city as well. And as we've well documented, that is no easy task. I mean for the love of God, we have casual fans who live in town on social media talking about the importance of team ball. For years, most of us thought that for them to be relevant here, we needed a superstar in our uniform. Bud and Ferry has changed the basketball mindset of an entire town. I cannot recall a Hawks team EVER being able to rest starters during the season against teams and still win. LD couldn't do that; hell, Fratello and Hubie couldn't do that.

For years, we've cried for a paradigm shift in this franchise. We sit right now a full TEN GAMES up on the next best team in the East. Teams deliver their best shot against them, only to end the game with their heads down and towels covering their faces like all the rest. ABC doesn't mention them. TNT barely recognizes them unless they lost a game. ESPN goes so far that they created some RPI system up to make them look inferior to teams they've already beaten up. I can tell you this; the national pundits are scared. The TV execs are scared. And we can only imagine what opposing coaches are thinking right now.

We have someone who plays chess, not checkers or Connect-4. Finally, our prayers have been answered...

Amen! Hawks is really fortunate to have coach Bud, he's really a unique coach! Credit to Danny Ferry for bringing him to Atlanta.
