I'm not saying I approve of this move, I didnt. I thought Walter could be an interesting piece if he panned out. But there is just so much patience you can put on a player. This is what also happened with Lamar Patterson( to be fair, he had way less potential), and we replaced him with much better players in Bembry and Prince. This to me just says that the Hawks are probably gonna draft a center instead of a power forward in the upcoming draft. He was a second round pick, I was more mad about Adriean Payne because we wasted the 15th pick of that draft.
Jarrett Allen.....

Guess where they put Boston and Atlanta.

I liked Walter, but he would be useless against small ball teams. Look what happened to Tim Duncan last year, he was benched right before tip-off against the warriors when the press released that Bogut wasn't playing that game. Size doesn't mean talent.

Bud doesn't like players that play inside. He wants everyone to shoot soft ass jumpers. It's another reason why the Dwight experiment isn't going to last long.
Have we had anyone that was capable of playing inside consistently that changed their game to shoot?

He was slow at guarding the PnR which is something he could have gotten away with a few years ago, but with all of this small ball in the nba Bigs are gonna have to be more mobile like KAT and Embiid to be highly coveted.

Does that mean we are drafting a center this year? Because if we are Jarrett Allen is my choice.

He also earned more than he was given tbh

Although I dislike the team, I can't help feeling pity for the celtics fans while still cracking up. Thier trying to reassure themselves that this is just one game and Horford will get more rebounds. I can't even lie, I used to do the same last season. lol

He only missed one free throw too. Granted he only took four, but still...

He was a pouty loner when playing time dwindled
I think he meant Reggie Jackson when he was on the thunder.

Why would the spurs want Millsap? Seems to me that they are in a stealth rebuild.

I know a couple of places online to watch non-local games. I'd be happy to share if its okay to.

Obviously the plan would include him becoming more consistent. I'm just saying there's more to Bud giving him the green light than trying to shoot him out of a slump so he can settle into a role where he takes 5 or 6 shots a night. He wants THJ to be our scoring punch off of the bench. And there are shots to be had with the departure of Teague.
I kinda agree, I think Tim Haraway's role might be that of a spark plug. If the game is close, he might be that guy that comes and knocks down some quick shots to give us a lead or take down one.

I would add that Jack could be a great veteran presence on this team.
That was one thing that I felt was missing last year when we lost Demarre and Elton Brand. A locker room guy that yells at guys and fuels them during halftime/timeouts. Like stated previously there were quite a few games that the Hawks had no reason to lose like that last game against the wizards that ultimately cost us a the third seed and a potential second Eastern Conference Finals appearance. Also great point guards such as Kyrie Irving and Stephen Curry credit some of their success to Jack's mentorship. If he can be that locker-room leader that we didn't have and helps in Dennis's development as an elite point guard, than he doesn't have to play that much to have value to me.

Schröder and Howard have their own charms, a willingness to pass with vision and anticipation aren't part of that list.
When will these people realize that Dennis was required to score rather than facilitate when he was on the bench? Isn't that what you want from your sixth man?
Also, his vision and creativity are much better than Jeff Teagues and might be one of the best in the east after Rondo and Wall

Only four rookies have averaged more points than Prince.
I'll just leave it at that

The only things I haven't seen prince do is shoot of the dribble or post up another player, but based on his scouting reports he seems to be capable of doing both pretty well. He is looking more and more like a legit lottery pick everyday.

Updating stats and noticed Taurean Prince had three more steals last night. That's 11 in five preseason games. Prince of Thieves indeed.
Anybody rhink C-Viv came up with that nickname "Prince of Thieves". I don't but i kinda like it.
He did say" indeed", so it sounds like he was agreeing with someone.

Man, Prince is so tenacious on D and trying to get rebounds.

Although I do think he has a good chance of being the type of player that we want him to be. Two things that set Kawhi Leonard apart from most of the nba are his hands and his work ethic. Casual spurs fans will always say that he is probably the hardest working player in the nba. If Prince comes in with a great work ethic than I think he can be very good.
-
i certainly hope so.
-
Thats possible, but there could be some growing pains early on in the season.
-
Oubre lacks the BBIQ that Prince and Bembry posses.

Bench defense was bad, hopefully a healthy Splitter can change that
