I'm glad to hear that it's just a bruise. As my old coach used to say... Put some ice on it and I'll see you tomorrow. (he told me that when I dislocated my patella and when I got a bruised bulging disc in my back. )
BTW... Was there any news on Nathan Knight? That was a terrible fall he took the other night.
He must be okay, I noticed him playing around with John during shoot around before the game.

Unless Nate was just trying to "buy time" to make a decision, looks like he has already agreed in some fashion to become the Head Coach permanently.
Hawks CEO Steve Koonin hinted after Atlanta’s road win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals that the team will be dropping McMillan’s interim tag following its playoff run. “Nate asked – one of the conditions of taking the job is we do this after the season concludes,” Koonin said on 92.9 The Game’s “Dukes & Bell” on Wednesday. “I’m so pleased on June 23 (that) our season’s not over. It is for 26 other teams; it’s not over for us. So, everything good happens to people who deserve it and will happen in time.”- 2

Jared Butler, Nah Shon Hyland, & Sharife' Cooper where interviewed by Mike Schmitz @ the combine today. All of them did well but Butler stood out the most. He is a very high character & articulate player. Hope he is cleared by the doctors to play pro ball. Cooper was briefly asked about his measured height, he said he was about 6"2 or 6"3. However I'm not buying it.

If Nate takes the job permanently, he will probably only want a 3 year deal. Coach the first 2 years and retire before the start of the 3rd.

I don't know if anyone has already touched on this in another thread. I briefly searched the other threads but did not see any thing on this. I found this little nugget over on HoopsHype.com
While McMillan is the team’s “interim’’ head coach, sources made it abundantly clear Hawks management would love to remove the interim title. However, sources also said the 56-year-old McMillan has some reservations whether he wants to be the permanent head coach and may prefer some other role in the organization. Money won’t factor into McMillan’s decision as he is financially set, sources said.Supes or Campster have you heard anything on this Topic? -

But .. Embiid says he doesn't get foul calls like "that point Guard" on the Hawks.

If we get to the ECF against Brooklyn. Playing Cam is a must. It was widely reported that Cam was very impressive guarding KD during off-season practices.
Brooklyn may be in trouble if Harden & Kyrie can't go the rest of the series.

Tony Snell was starting for Hunter earlier in the season and did well. Hopefully we see that again but it seems like he's not in a favor with Nate since Solo was starting. This is a bummer for sure. Huerter is pretty good but I'm not as confident in him closing games as Hunter.
I don't see why Nate keeps putting Solo out there when all he does is foul & can't make open shots. Smell was shooting 50% from 3 point range during the regular season. We could use his shooting.

Feel a little bad for Snell man. Dude played 30 seconds and finished with more stitches than shot attempts.
Snell hasn't gotten many 3 point shot attempts for the entire playoffs.

I got to give props to Kendrick Perkins today. He just said on First Take "Hey Indiana Pacers, I just want to know how yall feel today watching Nate McMilian do his thing with the Atlanta Hawks. Yall fired him for no freaking reason, carry on!" Even Stephen A. chimed in and said I never wanted him in Indy anyway, I like him in Atlanta, It's more fitting for him.

We need to understand and play like this is our elimination game. Every game we play, we ought to play like if we lose, we will be watching Kenny Smith laughing at us saying we've gone fishing. For us, this is our Buster Douglas moment. The moment when everybody had counted us out... we've been knocked down... and we hit the floor and got up. This is the moment that we exercise all the demons of Atlanta Sports. When the whole world is watching, this is the time for us to strike the hardest, turn back the Knicks, the refs, and the media and let them know that ..... Atlanta Got something to say in these playoffs!!
Also we want to see Stephen A cry. He still think the Knicks will bring it back to Atlanta Friday.

How about every time Trae makes a 3 pointer or a clutch shot, the crowd chant's "Ice Cold!!".

I was watching highlights of Miles McBride out of West Virginia. Although he is a score first PG. he still has decent court vision and he plays the passing lanes on defense. Listed at only 6'2(probably closer to 6'1) he still has a solid frame at 200lbs. He will even battle for rebounds in the paint and doesn't shy away from contact. I also would not mind giving taking a look at Isiah Livers with our 2nd round pick. 6'7 230lbs SF/PF who can shoot the 3 pointer and play defense.

Also Snell is out for this game. I would sit Bogi & Gallo and play Trae & Capela in limited minutes.

How about Etan Thomas? He didn't do much for the Hawks, but managed to play 11 seasons in the NBA.

Bg is not exactly a lights out shooter either.
BG is still more reliable than Solo from 3 point range.

Dang why is Snell listed as out?, when he was doubtful for the Heat game.

Here go Charles already.
The Hawks can't beat Boston in a 1st round series. Man . . I hope we DO get Boston in that 4 - 5 matchup.
If we're still at 4.
At least Shaq & Ernie are taking up for us.

I know some will say he is old "trash" but what about Tyson Chandler? Yes he will turn 39 years old in October but he is still 7'1 with long arms. He may not be as athletic as he use to be, but he is still not a stiff and most importantly he knows that he can't demand a lot of Playing time and we could sign him for the Veteran's minimum.
