Is there any interest from the Hawks at going after Bobby Portis in free Agency? If JC is traded I would rather have "crazy eyes" than PJ Tucker.

You have no idea how close to 100% true that is.
He is seen as very cocky and arrogant. It hurts him with officials for sure and with the older players.
Yeah probably the same older players who talked trash about him when he first came into the league. The Media was pumping Trae up , as the next Steph Curry, then when he struggled out the gate they started saying this guy is nothing like Steph. I don't blame Trae for playing the role as the Villain, you get back the same energy you give out to someone.

High School game of him against Cam.

That’s beyond insulting. Harrison Barnes suuuuuucks. I don’t want that dude for free. I rarely say that about possible guys coming to the Hawks but hell no we don’t want him.
I would have hung the phone up on them.

As hard as the Hawks have been working the phones, pretty soon Landry will be needing to put in him an order for "Keeps".

He said in an interview that he's not good at hiding. He just puts it out there.
Based on what I've gotten and I've mention this like 3 times
For JC
1. Wants Dyson Daniels. At first I had Mathurin and Sharpe as well but Atlanta is not as high on them.
2. They want to trade to a team with cap space so they can take on a lot of money of JC 2022-23 salary.
3. They aren't interested in trading 16 but we will see what happens.
No. I still don't see it
I was wanting to know why are the Hawks supposedly talking with the Kings for the 4th pick, when Dyson Daniels won't even go that high? The 4th slot is more than likely where Ivey gets picked. We could get Daniels at #7. Also are we keeping the 16th pick now?

Supes I asked you a question earlier in this thread, did you not see it?

Ivey is not a reasonable get. His cost is too high. We don't have the assets for that type of move. He's a top 4 player in a 4 player draft.
So why are we supposedly talking to the Kings for their pick if we want Daniels over Ivey?

His contract is insane. And hes 30, and he is a terrible offensive player.
We just cant include Collins in this deal, it has to be Capela. I really dont like throwing in the 1st either. Maybe a pick swap.
I really wish we would try for Ayton before panicking and going this route. Why can't the hawks offer the protected future 1st from Charlotte owed to us from the Cam trade instead?

Ashy Larry is that you? @kg01

Looney, sure.
But Draymond does too many things that don't show up in the stat sheet. He makes the right passes, screens, communicates... he's a major piece for what the Warriors do. His BBIQ is sky high... Gobert just has a body that's sky high. But not the brains.Gobert doesn't even have the leadership qualities of Clint.

I'll try but I don't know how far it'll get me. Do you have a few players you would like at the 16 spot?
I know this was a convo between you & Jaybird, but I am glad she asked the question and would like to know the Hawks interest in Tari Eason & Nikola Jovic.

My hunch, and this is just a hunch, is that we will use the pick to get Ayton or Gobert or another SG. One of the names we want we would have to move up in the draft to
In this trade up, would it be in the top 10 or top 5? If you can elaborate more?

So Supes at this point would you say more than likely Atlanta keeps the 16th pick than trade it at the draft? If so are there any guys you are hearing the Hawks like?, whether in the 1st or 2nd round?

Sure but have you seen Turner create offense for himself?
The point was that he can shoot at a decent clip whether it is in the flow of the game or not he still can make a basket outside 5 feet. I also was just naming a center besides Ayton & Gobert that wouldn't break our bank. That's all I have to say on the matter.

Ya he is cuz Turner jacks up unwarranted threes and it’s not in the flow of the O. At least Cap either gets fed by Trae for a one footer.. oh wait.. he misses those bunnies too. I dunno
Love what Cap brings but he can't create his own offense, I need my Center not so dependent on our PG to get him in position to score, which the good teams are better at defending the lobs now.

More like no way Atlanta does that. Capela is way better than Turner
Defensively & rebounding he is, but not offensively.

What about Myles Turner?, he probably could be had since Indy is rebuilding. I know he isnt the rebounder like Clint. ,but that would give JC more chances to feed in the paint. He can shoot the 3 and is a pretty good free throw shooter for a big.
Never mind, just saw that Turner only has 1 year left on his current contract. No way Indy takes on CC's contract with multiple years even if a draft pick(Hornets pick) is included.

I would take a long look at Keon Ellis for our 2nd round pick.

Despite the news that the Hawks will more than likely trade the pick. I am not totally convinced they will. Travis seems to like keeping his 1st rounders for talent on the cheap. The players I like for the Hawks are Tari Eason SF/PF , Blake Wesley SG/ PG. and Nikola Jovic SF./PF.

More and more I think about this I feel like it’s true. First off the fit like you mentioned but nother point being the NBA LOVES HEADLINES:
BEN IS TRADED TO THE TEAM THAT BROKE HIM!
Tell me that doesn’t write itself?
The Hawks would have even more "haters" if we got Ben. Shaq would probably stop supporting us if we got Ben. (not that I really care)

2022 Hawks Summer League
in Homecourt
Posted
I found an article where Grant Golden is addressing this issue. He stated that only he and another prospect from overseas would be the Big men on the team and is one of the reasons why he chose to play on Atlanta's Summer League team.
