I dont understand the 15 minute restriction on Gallo. We need his shooting. With Bogi out, he should be getting no less than 25 minutes a night, even 30.
I imagine that comes from the medical staff.

It's harder for Trae to take over late in games because he hasn't mastered the midrange yet. He's really reliant on that floater and just drawing fouls atm.

Well.. we know what we need to improve on lmao. This is probably the only team in the East that could match us when we are that hot on offense though.

Turnovers are part of his game. Bad turnover nights are going to happen. It is what it is.
Yeah, I think they will be less frequent now that he has better teammates though. Won't be forced to do too much, should have more space to operate etc.

Trae will get the turnovers down.
1. It's the preseason, time to try shit that you wouldn't try in games that count.
2. Gaining familiarity with teammates
3. It's the preseason

Lamelo is too high usage/weak defensively to pair next to Trae I think. Haliburton is the cleaner fit even if his talent level is lower. Want to unlock Trae's catch and shoot goodness, but he's ultimately too weak defensively to return good value in a significantly lesser role.

The idea of having two elite passers who are also elite offball shooters in Trae/Haliburton is very interesting. Only holdup for me is Hali's self creation ability. Doesn't get to the line at all and not a pull up threat.

It's time to stop messing around with BG. Worst case, you can do a lot worse with your third point guard.

Hunter thinks he's better than he is on offense. Problem that plagues a lot of Hawks wings recently it seems.

Update:
This is getting good.
MIN offered Kevin Love instead of Wiggins to GS and still got declined.
MIN is looking for a 3rd team who can take on Wiggins. MIN is not inclined to trade a 1st and are looking at opportunities to see if they can without trading a 1st. MIN wants to keep HOU 1st which is different then what I got earlier.
Atlanta, Phoenix, New York, Cleveland, Charlotte, OKC, Toronto, and Detroit have all been reached for Wiggins that he is aware of.
I can confirm O'Connor take about Atlanta and Houston willingness to leave Minny out of the Capela talks if they can't strike a deal. Still, I can confirm that the Collins piece was BS.
Atlanta goals haven't changed. They want to win, compete, get a starting center, and add a lot of shooting.
OKC might hold on to Gallo till the off-season if the value isn't there.
Golden State is giving mix signals and it's confusing people.
There is a strong feeling that these five teams will make a deal during the deadline:
Detroit, Atlanta, Minny, Houston, and New York. He said NY is just too active and they are motivated to improve the roster this year.
You said Gallo was 95% to Miami yesterday

This is Chris Kirschner, not Shams.

Not much to be mad about in that one. Lakers size and Lebron's IQ makes them one of the toughest matchups possible for this Hawks team. I honestly expected them to be up by 30 at some point tonight.
Reddish missed a gimme, it is what it is. No chance in hell the Lakers were letting Trae get a look there. Offense generated the 2nd best shot in basketball only to layups/dunks, missed it. For yall LP/Trae offense complainers.
Reddish defense is really impressive.
The deep transition bomb 3 by Trae is tough. Obviously a 2 for 1, looked super selfish in the moment though.
Hunter gotta work on his touch at the rim. Missed a lot of layups.

Trae is the worst defender in the NBA.
I’m not sure you can maintain a good defense with him on the team.
He is really, really bad.
But he is not the reason why this team doesn't have good defense. Our bigs don't do a good job of contesting shots. The amount of times the Pacers got to the paint without a contest from our bigs was ridiculous (f***ing Jabari). And when they are there, the contest is really weak. Our defensive rebounding is atrocious. Trae could be the Glove and our defense would be bad (obviously better than it is, but still bad) right now.

A win woulda been nice but wouldn't have changed the lessons from this game. Just like the first game, couldn't get any stops. IDK what you can do when KD Kyrie and Harden are playing well, because one of them is gonna be going at Trae every possession.
