I’ve seen that. If he can’t beat KP off the dribble in that situation, he doesn’t belong in the NBA at all. KP is a 7’2” big who is not an All Star because of his defense. He’s not drawing match-ups like that in the NBA.
at 6'8" 230 he can bully smaller guys (actually backed down KP) and is clearly quick enough to beat bigs off the dribble. http://www.nba.com/allstar/2018/roster#/ You are just Ignorant he averaged 2.5 bpg but Luka finished because he is 6'8" and knows how to use his body.

My ideal draft is to get Luka Doncic at 3 and Elie Okobo at 19. That's the Hawks back court of the future. They would fit perfectly together. Okobo is going to be more of a work in progress than Doncic, who will make an immediate impact in the NBA. But by year three, those two should be running full speed.
My Ideal draft as well I also wouldn't mind Robert Williams if we end up moving up like the smoke suggests.

I wonder what they’ve seen that I haven’t and where it’s located at. I’m seeing the same things you are.
His Eurobasket highlight on youtube has him isolating Porzingis an all star level nba player and Luka making a basket over him and Luka driving right past KP.

This site has been there and done this more than most experts and NBA execs, with one Marvin Williams. We’ve already seen the ending of this movie...
I’m crying at the Marvin Williams comp.

Their #1 guy was Markelle Fultz
Doesn’t mean in 10 years he won’t be.

This site is much lower on JJJ than most experts and NBA execs. You all think you could make it as an NBA scout...

They could hire Travis Schlenk and make that deal. He routinely gets beaten in trades like that.
Lol where did the hawks give up something that is as valuable as the #4 pick for a salary dump.

Oh . . you're one of those types huh? You never saw me mention anything about race in my post. Harden is a significantly better athlete . . because he's a significantly better athlete. I've been watching and playing basketball for over 30 years. LOL . . I've played against NBA level athletes. His skin color has nothing to do with it. Doncic athletic comparison is much closer to JJ than it is to Harden. And as I said before, that's not a bad thing.
I played against Kobi Simmons and Malik Beasley to name a few js lol...

the move at 1:40 even guys like Harden aren't getting that off Doncic knows how to shield the ball from defenders when driving by using his body which is a very underrated skill to have when your'e not the most athletic. I'm not saying Luka will have Harden's exact game but a lot of the step back elements with a bully inside game using his frame to back down smaller and even larger guards similar to what he does to KP at the :40 and 1:40 marks.

Eh ? Time stamps please ? I missed that completely.
:40 1:40 2:00 all against or over KP

This tape is a perfect example of what I’ve been saying. Not saying he will be terrible, but I truly think his ceiling is All star reserve and his floor is very good 6th man.
He drives right past and finishes over 2 nba players 1 that is seen as a future star the other played valuable minutes for a Western conference playoff team he has plenty of athleticism is my only point imo.

So where do you see James Harden in that video? You made an athletic comparison with Doncic and Harden, and I just don't see it. I'll agree with EazyRoc in that Doncic's game is more Joe Johnson like than James Harden. That's not a bad thing either.
I never made the comparison I said a lite version who is a similar athlete you are just saying Harden is a significantly better athlete because he is black

See I’m just gunna have to disagree with you and we will see who is right in 10 years.

Again, his accomplishments are incredible. I can’t take that away from him. He’s not going to be that kind of player in the NBA. Dude can’t beat the guy in front of him consistently without a screen (or two). Even then, he doesn’t have the quickness/speed to turn that screen into a good drive where he can really take advantage of his skills. NBADraft.net gave a really good comparison to Hedo Turkoglu. I see a little bit of late-Hawk Joe Johnson. Except he’s a terrible defender as well. He’d be a good pick in the 10-15 range, but this guy will not be that good in the NBA. Just watch any video (preferably highlights, his best moments) in this context. I was high on him a few months ago, but I realized that he wasn’t really beating the guy in front of him and getting in the lane. Just rewatch whatever tape available. It really opened my eyes.
how often do you see James Harden beat his man in front of him using speed and quickness... I think he is every bit the athlete Harden is. Not saying he will ever be as good as Harden but a lite version is what I see in Doncic

JJJ has to stay out of foul trouble to be able to play late though..
Collins averaged more fouls per 36 than JJJ as a freshman and it's been relatively corrected in a year I'm not worried.

Slow release, awkward shooting from. Hes gonna be a Horford shooter where he has to have space to shoot without Horford BBIQ, feel for the game, ability to break to make the best decision on the court.
I dont see this translating like that. I really dont see his offense translating like that outside of dunks.
Feel for game really... Bagley looks lost on defense and was so bad Coach K moved to a 2-3. I'm much more worried about Bagley's defense than JJJ's offense at worst he is Dedmon on offense with DPOY upside and I'm okay that.

Bagley shot 40% from 3 at Duke...
I don't see 50 attempts as a large enough sample size combined with a low ft% to say the shot will translate. Josh Jackson shot 38% from 3 in college with a low ft% and shot below 30% his first year. JJJ is a significantly more accomplished 3pt shooter and shooter overall shooting a respectable 79% from the line and 39.6% from 3 on nearly double the attempts in much less minutes than Bagley. I think both will be good I just like a defensive big who is a better shooter over rebounding and athleticism. Also love the fact JJJ can play late with the ft% unlike Bagley 62% is straight up terrible.

Developmental and defensive coach. As in turning Simmons into a good defender when he came in as a bad one. Expanding Collins’ and Bagley’s defensive prowess, anyone? He’s not the shooting coach, he’ll hire one if Jent doesn’t stay. And I’d say Bagley at 65% on 2s and 40% on 3s is expanding just fine.
If Bagley shoots 40% from 3 next year I'll eat it but Bagley is a significantly worse shooter than JJJ ft numbers help show that look at Josh Jackson's 3pt% in college. Also wanted to say that I think JJJ is a center in the NBA an Izzo continually played him with Nick Ward which was a bad fit. Izzo isn't a perfect coach they lost with a lot of talent.

The Hawks organization quit on Bud. Yet, we want to be rewarded with a #1 pick.
We quit on a guy who took a 60 win team to a team with a negative plus minus each of the last 2 seasons. I like Bud as a coach but rebuilding I believe was and is the right move and if Bud isn’t on board at 7 mill a year he has to go.

You ... can't... judge ... Dennis ... in ... a ... tank ... season.
I didn't think Dennis would reach 20 and 7 consistently on a winning team before this year lmao. his 3pt shot is to awkward to ever consistently shoot 35%+ from 3 imo unless he completely redoes his shot.

EASY now.
Bud maybe not the best at player development however, it is for sure a strength of his and is why he wasn't let go from the beginning. I agree with KB that Dennis will probably never average those stats consistently on a winning team.

You said he wasn't an NBA all-star you were wrong. Luka's game is being able to set up others, rebound at a high level, and attack mismatches he is quick enough imo to be an All star in this league with his high bball IQ. Nothing I show you will change your mind so I'm not gunna go back and watch more tape to show you specifics.
