  1. Your predictions, while being more reasonable than me on the scoring of the starters(me 77ppg/you 73ppg), your bench scoring seems much more unrealistic b/c it would mean that our team will average 114ppg this season by your numbers. Only the Mavs averaged that last year(and that was b/c they could'nt play a lick of defense).

I agree that my starters numbers were fairly high since we will have a lot of bench scoring(I hope!). So, to revise my thoughts I will just say that I hope that at least four of the starters can produce the numbers in my prediction. A better prediction for me would probably be looking at team ppg for and against, along with +/- for those stats. Well, here it goes...97ppg for; 96ppg against; +1ppg for/against ratio.

What does everyone think? Does this hopefully better explaination seem more realistic and maybe even likely?

Feel free to express thoughts, the previous ones were interesting to read. Thanks!

  2. PG: JT-will step it up a notch this year just to prove

    people wrong(20ppg/7apg/1.5spg; possible All-Star)

SG: Ira-great inyourface defense; will put up solid #'s

    (10ppg/5rpg)

SF: DJ-where he should really be playing; his added weight

will allow him to have a breakout year(15+ppg)

    PF: Reef-another All-Star performance(20ppg/9rpg)

    C: Theo-will finally earn his money by leading the defense;

may be an All-Star since the East is weak at C

    (12ppg/8rpg/3+bpg)

I know at first glance this prediction seems really far fetched. I am reaching a little bit on some of these, but all of these are very probable if no one is injured. After sitting back and thinking of this formula, (dare I say it) it looks like the hawks have a great shot at the playoffs when you calculate in the bench with what I believe is a strong starting 5.

I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on my predictions whether they are positive or negative and would also like to hear the thoughts of others. Thanks!

  3. I have been a member for a couple of weeks now and I have read almost every post in that amount of time. There have been some good and bad ideas that I have heard in that time.

Even so, the discussions on this site(whether I agree with them or not) have been refreshing for me b/c this is the only site that I have found where anyone really knows or cares about the hawks. Now, with my praises out of the way, I would like to comment on this trade idea from Diesel witch I think could be very good.

By trading Glover for Haywood, the hawks would lose a scoring SG/SF for a BU center a equal to Nazr(but has great potential)

With this trade done, the hawks would then be able to pull off the trade everyone has hyped up; Nazr for Mike Miller

So, now lets look at the what the hawks lost and gained:

lost: 1. glover gained: 1. Haywood

    2. Nazr 2. Miller

Overall, I think that this was a very good proposition by Diesel

  4. I don't know why the Hawks are wanting another PG when they already have JT and are sure to pick up a good reserve. The Hawks should only move up if they can find an impact frontcourt player, especially if they can get a center to take Theo's spot if he gets injured again or leaves because of free agency in the next couple of years.

  5. With the large amount of high priced reserves(i.e. Kukoc, Glover, Hendu) the Hawks should dump some of this extra salary along with someone like Crawford or Nazr and/or a draft pick to boost their frontcourt.

Also, it would be beneficial to resign Vaughn or sign Jeff McInnis to be a solid backup for JT.
