  1. Dude Milsap has now come back down to earth if you haven't noticed. He had a couple of good games early on thats it. He has been terrible of late. He is only averaging 6pts and 4rb. a game for petes sake and even worse the last 5 games at 3.8pts and 2rb. a game. I understand Shelden hasn't been putting up great numbers of late either mostly due to lack of playing time with Marvin back and his shoulder injury. Milsap will be nothing more than a bench player his whole career. Even the Utah fans on Realgm have been bashing him of late. Good pickup though for a second rounder
  2. Oh thats cool. Well Thabeet is 7'3 and 265lbs and already a much better defender than Sene ever was simply because he has played basketball longer. He is also bigger and stronger than Sene.
  3. Oh I agree Sene was a joke from the start really since he had never really played basketball up till about 3-4 yrs ago EVER. I never wanted Sene to begin with only Walter did. I haven't seen Thabeet play but I know he is very raw at this point offensively like Sene is. Hibbert on the other hand is improving every game at Georgetown both offensively and defensively and is a BEAST. I started to notice him a lot last year when Georgetown made their NCAA tourney run. And his numbers are up overall from last year this year so the guy is showing improvement. Personally I would take Hibbert over Thabeet if we have the chance.
  4. I hear ya! I don't understand why Hibbert is projected to go in the teens of next year's draft now. Early on he was in the top 10 projections. Don't get me wrong Hibbert is by no means a FINISHED product but as of now the guy has a better overall offensive game than Thabeet. Hibbert can rebound, score inside, and block shots. He is currently averaging 12pts, 7rb. and 3blks a game playing 25min. for Georgetown in his junior year. Thabeet is just one of those guys like Tyrus Thomas with enormous potential to be great but YEARS down the road. Defensively this guy could be a force right away with his size alone.
  5. I agree Moore is a COMPLETE joke and i still can't fathom how he writes for the AJC. This guy is awful and obviously knows nothing about the NBA. Were 9-14 right now and we do have 59games left this season. I would say if we can FINALLY stay healthy the rest of the way we can go 35-24 with continued improvement which i expect to happen once our team actually plays together more. It was evident Sat. night against the Bulls that our team could be nasty. Speedy had Marvin, Smooove and Zaza scoring all over them. The key is going to be Speedy staying healthy and playing like he has the last 2 games. He makes everyone that much better when he can play his game.
  6. He is projected to be picked in the top 5 so there is really no way to get him unless we traded the farm. We can get a guy like Roy Hibbert with the Indy pick who is 7"2 and 280lb. and is twice the player Thabeet is right now both offensively and defensively. All Thabeet does now is block shots really. Extremely raw and underdeveloped offensively. Needs to add considerable weight to be a factor in the NBA. Hibbert is ready to contribute the mintute he gets drafted. Huge guy that can score, rebound and block shots. Plus not let the layup drill occur with his huge size.

    AI to Denver

Well JJ came here to play with all our high school players and draft picks right!!! They will have tons of capspace when Miller and Webber's contracts come off the books in 2 yrs. as well to sign whoever. So what do you mean who will come to Philly? Whoever wants to get paid. Its all about money obviously. BTW Philly isn't like our Hawks man. They haven't been one of the worst teams in the NBA for the last 30yrs. DUH!!

    AI to Denver

Honestly I think Philly likes Miller. He is a top 10PG in this league who fills the stat sheet up every night. He will make Iggy, Dalembert and Korver better players than AI ever would. Philly is stacked with 3 picks in next years draft, one of them being their own which is going to definitely be a lottery pick. This is draft is supposed to be one of the deepest in years too. All in all this isn't really a bad deal for Philly considering the timing of AI's trade demands. Plus Joe Smith's contract is expiring and Miller's contract comes off the books the same year as Webber's so they will have TONS of capspace soon. They could be back in the playoffs sooner than you think really depending on who they get in this next draft.
  9. Well the Kninks SOMEHOW beat the Jazz last night with only 8 players in uniform. So the Jazz are beatable and we really need to win this game. Were falling too far behind .500 and the next 5 games are rough as hell.
  10. Isiah is the worst coach in the NBA by far and the worst GM ever in the NBA too. George Karl was right though in his comments. His team blew that huge lead against us in the 4th qtr. so I don't blame him for trying to get a big win and close it out on the road by keeping his starters in the game. Isiah is just a big baby and has single handedly RUINED that franchise with the worst FA signings, draft picks, and trades I've ever seen by a GM.
  11. Do we even have a 2007 2nd rounder next year?
  12. Personally I think Ivey has improved a lot from last year. He actually has a nice jumpshot that he hit a few times against Chicago. He plays great defense as well. I would play Ivey before Bozeman since he can at least shoot the ball. Bozeman and Freije should NEVER see the court again this year barring more injuries.
  13. You better believe it were going to be tough. If Speedy can play like he has the last 2 games were going to be a team to reckon with. Marvin is already producing after coming back from his injury and Smoove is just flat out loading up the stats. Zaza played great as well the last 2 games. We need to keep it going and not regress. Once Chill comes back we will be at 100% and ready to roll.
  14. IF Speedy can play like he has the last 2 games there is no doubt in my mind we can win all 3 especially with Chill possibly returning for Wed. game against Utah. We played Detroit tough the first time and should have won. That was another game where we blew the lead. Utah is the game that scares me the most but we should be well rested at least and its at home. We need to really win all 3 here and get closer to .500
  15. I totally agree I would rather have Shelden starting at Center along with Smoove and Marvin at the forward spots.
  16. Well at least Solomon can hit a jumper, shoot FT at a very high%, play defense and block the F out of some shots. Lo Wright can no longer do any of those things. Woody is STUPID to keep playing LO when SOlomon is already so much better in facets of the game.
  17. That was the Speedy Claxton I saw the last couple of years and it looks like he is finally healthy. He played 39min. tonight and pretty much dominated the whole game getting EVERYONE involved. If he can play like that the rest of the way with JJ and CHill coming back things are going to get very exciting. Go Hawks
  18. Just to clarify so the game tonight is on TV? It says its not on but I saw a commercial last night on FSN saying the game was on at 8pm. Whats the deal
  19. Your probably right Bravo. I just have heard so many bad things about Belkin but I guess our current ownership is a joke to even get in the mess they are in now by not reading a friggin contract and more importantly not UNDERSTANDING it. I can't believe were not even going to at least get involved in the AI trade as at least another team to help facilitate his trade. We could add another Big like Magloire for example and give up nothing but some cap space for him. What a joke these clowns are. Woody better coach effectively tonight or I'm going to the dark side with ya Bravo. This team is driving me nuts!
  20. I wouldn't count on Belkin doing anything of significance with this team except running it even cheaper.
  21. Is Steele a true PG or a Foye type of player who is a combo guard? I haven't seen him play. I've heard he was real good though. We BETTER either draft a PG or a big C. Otherwise BK needs to be fired on the spot
  22. I heard he was going Denver and its very close to being done. I wish the Hawks would at least get involved to facilitate the trade as a 3rd or 4th team to get another veteran player to help us out. Our current veterans absolutely suck in Speedy and Lo Wright. Why don't we at least try and get Magloire out of the deal. I mean come on the guy can help our interior D this year in helping us get to the playoffs. Who cares if he is in the last year of his deal we can always resign him on the cheap or trade him. What is wrong with our franchise! We never do anything.
  23. Your right there Bravo!! If Shaq can leave then ANYONE can leave Orlando. I still can't believe that ever happened with Shaq. Insane
  24. IF there is a PG worth taking I'm all for it but honestly this draft really doesn't have a lot of sure fire PG's. Its extremely deep though with big men. WE need to draft Hibbert and throw money at Billups next offseason. Then trade Lue for whatever we can since were stuck with Speedy. We have to do something to get some big men in here and some more veteran talent. Billups would make Smoove and Marvin all stars.
  25. I know its early to be talking about this but our weaknesses are still being exploited nightly at the PG position and at Center. Personally I think we should go for a center and I have one in mind that is projected to be available with Indy's pick in the 15-25 range. His name is BIg Roy Hibbert! I've seen this guy play since he was a freshman at Georgetown and he has improved his game every year. He is a 7"2 278lb. MONSTER! Our interior defense is so BAD and we need a BIG interior prescence period. Zaza is just flat out awful and not the answer! He is a backup at best in this juncture of his career at only 22. But Hibbert can score in the post, rebound and block shots. And more importantly is just a huge body that can dominate inside with his size and handle opposing big men that kills us. (a la Eddy Curry). He has developed nice post moves each year and is a good passer as well. What do you all think we should do?
