Well if Mullin would have offered anything but a bloated contract like Murphy's and another piece like Monta or Biedrins then the deal would have been done. Mullin wouldn't give the Hawks anything of worth to us so he really didn't try that hard. The deal makes no sense for the Hawks to get a 6'11 jumpshooter in Murphy who can't play ANY interior defense and thats it. Why would we do that? He fills no need for his whatsoever and his contract is outrageous!

You left out Salim in there! We have to keep this guy and somehow find him some minutes. He is too good of a shooter!

He isn't talking about Marvin Williams is he? If so he is nuts plus why in the world would Lorenzen go back to Memphis after he left last year on bad terms. This guy doesn't know [censored]. I would do a Zaza, Indy 1st, and Chill. I'm just not ready to trade Smoove yet. I'm afraid if we do he will blow up somewhere else. He is just too young to give up on at this time while I think Chill is a great player too but you have to give up some good players to obtain good ones right.

Sorry but Shelden can play Center if Zaza can! Zaza is horrible on defense and not that much better offensively posting up anyways. Shelden can play Center if given the opportunity. The guy looks like a beast out there for 6'9. I think we can all agree he can play Center better than Zaza right? I mean they both weigh about the same around 260lb. Shelden is stronger but Zaza has an 1 or 2in. on him but it doesn't matter since Zaza cannot jump or play D. I don't want to lose Shelden no matter what. This guy is going to be good if we give him the minutes and chance to score. We already know he is a beast on the boards and good defensively. I still think we can run a lineup of: Speedy JJ Marvin Smoove Shelden Its small but I think we could dominate teams at times. At least we can implement that lineup during different times of the game when Marvin gets back.

All I have to say is PLAY SHELDEN (THE LANDLORD) WILLIAMS more in the games damn it. Last night was a total blunder on Woodson's part in the 4th qtr. HOW in the hell do you leave Zaza and Smoove in the game the whole 4th qtr. after they were turning it over left and right every possession when Shelden only had 4 fouls. He was playing great in the 1st half and doesn't make many if any mistakes at all like these two bumbling clowns. Shelden is looking great and needs to start at PF when Marvin comes back. Woody has to put Smoove on the bench when Marvin returns. Shelden has earned that starter spot at the 4 no doubt.

If we can get Chill and Speedy back healthy we can go .500 I believe but of course it looks like Speedy is a girl and can't play more than the 1st qtr. of any game this year. Speedy came out last night and looked great hitting a jumper and dishing a beautiful pass to Shelden for a dunk. Also had 2 stls too but then I guess his weak ass knees start hurting and he has to sit. We need him to play at least 30min. a game for him to be effective for us. I don't know what else to do or say about this clown. Step it up Speedy and play through the pain. Quit being a panzy!

Yeah I was screaming at the TV everytime Zaza touched the ball there late in the game and was begging him to get rid of it in fear of another clumsy turnover or foul. Zaza and Smoove lost the game for us last night with 10 turnovers between them.

Well considering we drafted this guy with the 3rd overall pick years ago and traded him to BK(Memphis) for a bunch of stiffs it would be pretty pathetic to get him back now. I think were giving up too much either way. I wouldn't give them our 1st rounder next year too. They are getting 2 starters in Smoove and Landlord and they haven't even came anywhere near their potential. Gasol is NOT a good defender either. He is weak inside.

Is Speedy playing or what? I haven't heard anything that he is playing after sitting out against Orlando Sat. night

Yeah this kid is straight dominating right now. We would have had to at least take Murphy's bloated contract but I still don't think they would have parted with him either way. It was mostly Pietrus and Murphy that they were willing to deal from what I heard. All their fans on realgm.com said he was completely off limits when we were discussing the Al trade. They were right!

Sorry but Shelden is outplaying Milsap easily. Shelden is the only one that is consistent right now besides JJ. Give him minutes and the Landlord pays the rent boys. Another good game against the Magic too. 16pts and 9rb.

Roddy White and Jenkins need to be traded or released. Both dropped sure TD's and i'm sick of it. IT wasn't Vick's fault today by any means. The drop Roddy White had was just ridiculous. I could have caught that frigging pass. The one Jenkins dropped was in stride and could have went in for the score but of course it goes right through his hands. Both passes were right on the money. We need to get new WR and fire Mora.

The Landlord is starting to collect rent when he gets more minutes. He played 40min. and dominated parts of the game with rebounding and scoring. Smoove is just too inconsistent right now and I think Shelden needs to be starting at PF when Marvin gets back. I just think Shelden provides more of what we need at PF. Marvin is better than Smoove and smarter and has to start at SF. Our second unit would be nasty as well with Smoove,Chill, Lue, Salim, and Lo Wright. Thats 4 guys that can score all over you minus Lo Wright. Shelden is really starting to look like NBA ready to me if he gets more minutes like last night. The Landlord can play!

I know Lo Down has been solid for us off the bench but I don't think he has outperformed Shellhead in anyway and i've watched all the games. Shellhead is rebounding more each game and they barely score between the two of them. Shelden is averaging 4.1pts and 6.5rb. while Lo Down is averaging 4.3pts and 4.3rb a game. And shelden is only averaging 2more minutes a game than Lo. You also have to remember Lo Down IS a 31yr. old 10yr veteran while shelden is still only a 23yr old rookie. Shelden IS a better rebounder than LO Down already because he is bigger and stronger on the box but of course Lo has the experience. I honestly don't think anyone is giving either one of these guys the credit they deserve because they have both improved our team tremendoulsy from last year.

Shelden(The Landlord) first off is a ROOKIE people. Second he is 100times better than what we had last year in Esteban and the bum Edwards. Shelden is still improving every game and leading all rookies in Rebounding. Give him more than 8 friggin games to show what he can do. He is still just getting his feet wet. If Woody would run some damn plays where Shelden posts up his man, his offense would only get better. He CAN score inside and be a force if given the opportunity. I'd rather Shelden have the ball inside trying to score more than Smooove who has zero post moves.

The East is either very weak or all the teams are equally good. But the Hawks have as good a chance as anyone in the East to EASILY get a playoff spot. The Bulls suck and are 3-8 right now and WAY overpaid for Wallace who is doing nothing really so far for them. They have MAJOR problems scoring the ball. Cleveland and Washington are both good teams but don't bring it every night(Hawks beat Cavs at home earlier) and are very beatable. We can go on and on about the rest of the teams in the East. Indiana, Philly, Boston and so on are all decent teams but no better than our Hawks in my book. We have to win tonight against Detroit!! Have to get a win!

My point exactly!!!! How can Walter say picking Smoove and Chill over Deng and Iggy was a mistake when they put up better overall numbers and have more potential? Signing Zaza to a cheap contract for 4yrs. and he is putting up better numbers than Bogut(#1pick) plus he is younger than Bogut too!!! I'm just sick of hearing these guys were bad picks or signings. We all know that picking Marvin over Deron/Paul could blow up in BK's face and rightfully so if Marvin doensn't become an allstar. But Marvin will become that Allstar! He was about to show that this year if it wasn't for the broken hand a day before the season opened.

I agree that Marvin better be an allstar caliber player to silence the critics on us not taking Paul otherwise its a bad pick. But obviously BK and others around the NBA think Marvin can be that superstar type player like Carmelo or Wade which is why BK went with the "best available player" at the time. Players like this don't come around that often. I have no doubt in my mind though that he will be that type of player. He has it all in his game. Shooting touch, good hands, creates his own shot, great outside shooter, defense, size, heighth and so on to be a great SF or PF in the NBA. It's just terrible that he had to break his hand days before the season started after showing us what he could do after dominating the SL and preseason.

I agree we need a good PG which I felt we got in Speedy but of course injuries have derailed him from showing us what we paid for. I've seen Speedy play a lot and I know he can help this team and be that PG. I just can't believe your bringing up Monta Ellis of all players who was drafted in the second round and so far this year appears to be one of those great finds that happen every couple of years. You can't blame BK for not picking him. Thats just stupid! IF anything I agree with you on not taking Paul or Deron but don't bring up Monta Ellis man! Plus you and Walter are also talking about every other pick BK has made with Smoove and Chill and so on that are mistakes. It just gets old man!

They are putting up similar numbers but Chill is a way better defender than both of them especially Iggy. Again the only drafting mistake I could possibly agree on with you guys is taking Marvin 2nd overall when there was a plethora of good PG's out there. But then again I have no doubt in my mind that Marvin is going to be a special player. Just wait till he gets back in Dec. and you will see. He is going to catapault this team to the playoffs. You could see in the preseason that he is a totally different player than last year with WAY more confidence. This guy is ready to break out. Just too bad he had that unfortunate injury that set him back.

Sene sucks people!!! Why is his name even being considered here. He already got sent down to the NBDL by Seattle and they only have one healthy center for gods sake. The only mistake I could see BK making drafting wise was maybe taking Marvin over one of the many PG in that draft. But even at this point I truly believe Marvin is going to be a star in this league and you can't go wrong picking him at #2. Saying BK messed up picking Salim over Monta is ridiculous. Especially considering every single analyst said Salim was a steal in the second round and Monta's name wasn't even mentioned. What about all the other friggin teams that passed on Monta Walter? I love how you say it was BK's fault and a total blunder for not picking Monta when every other NBA team didn't either. What a joke? Salim is still a very good player and lights out shooter. He will only get better . Still a good pick for BK because Salim is a nice asset to trade or keep either way you look at it.

He needs to play Freije more for sure. The guy can score if given the chance. Bozeman is pretty useless out there on offense and his defense has been terrible the last few games. I say put in Freije! We obviously need more offense.
