Point is BK has made solid draft picks since coming to the Atlanta Hawks and each pick is either starting or has a crucial role off the bench right now even second rounders. No other team can really say that. I understand that it currently looks like we should have taken Paul over Marvin but I have no doubt in my mind that Marvin is going to be a star in this league. A lot of these other so called "good Gm's" you have named have also done terrible in FA signings as well as being terrible in the draft compared to BK's. I mean Kiki signing Kenyon to that outrageous deal is one example and he has sucked. Obvoiusly having Carmelo fall in your lap was an easy pick and why Denver is good now. I don't agree with everything BK has done by any means but I can't understand how you so-called Hawks fans can continue to bash this guy when he has made great picks, built our team from scratch, and kept our cap space(which many GM's in the NBA do a terrible job of). The only pick i can see that might have been incorrect somewhat, after the fact, is taking Marvin over Paul. EVERYONE on this board knows for a fact that Paul wasn't even that hyped up coming out of college and wasn't even the #1 PG going into the draft. But now you all bash Bk for not taking him? No one knew Paul was going to blow up like this not even the Hornets when they took him. You guys are a joke!

I agree lets just bash BK for not signing the 26yr. old stiff. But fail to mention our budding star at Center he signed in Zaza for peanuts. Makes sense to me too! What a joke! Who cares about the Greek. He would have slowed our team down anyways. He didn't run the floor good.

We can't handle both Frye and Curry in the post with only Smoove and Zaza. I would like to see Wright start at PF honestly. He can bang down there and put Frye in his place.

All I know is this is a MUST win for the Hawks! We can't start out slow like this against mediocre teams like Philly and Knicks. You have to win against these teams especially at home. I will let the Philly game slide but if you can't beat the Knicks at home then we have SERIOUS problems. Honestly I think that lineup would be nasty. MW, JS, and the Landlord would be one nasty trio out there on both ends of the floor. Add JJ into the mix and either Speedy or CB even more explosive. Amare is obviously not the same player we was before the Microfracture surgery. They signed him to some ridiculous contract as well right before surgery. Now he is a hobbling backup. Honestly I think it is that the Heat are so bad now! They will not even come close to repeating this year. They are way too old! Shaq looks pathetic out there and can't even move hardly. Your probably right but my point was then we have to move Smoove back to SF when all aong he was going to start at PF( which he has never played). So when Marvin comes back were going to have to move SMoove to PF then right? I think we can be more of a running team with Chill in there at SF. Defensively he is probably better than Marvin right now. So whats the huge difference starting Chill in place of Marvin for a month? Shelden is obviously going to get tons of minutes either way. This way we don't have to shuffle the lineup around so much when Marvin comes back. Keep Lo Wright backing up Zaza at the 5 and Shelden backing up the Forward spots.

Good point! I think CHill should start at SF and keep Smoove at PF since that was what we were going to do anyways and still will once marvin comes back. Chill could step into the startin lineup and shine.

You both have great points don't get me wrong. I'm just shocked and saddened that nothing ever goes right for our Hawks. We have the worst luck of any franchise in the NBA. I actually hope they move Chill into the starting lineup at SF and keep Smoove at PF since that is where he will have to move anyways once Marvin comes back. Bring the Landlord off the bench to man a lot more minutes than expected at the forward spots and keep Lo Wright backing up Zaza at the 5. That way we only have to make one switch when Marvin comes back and that is to move Chill back to being a backup. Chill was a #6pick and deserves a chance to start and now he has it. Who knows maybe Chill can come in and surprise us all. The KEY still is for Speedy to stay healthy and man the PG position. He will make everyone better on this team.

Honestly we can beat any team in the NBA on any given night! We can also lose to any team on any given night. We beat teams like San Antonio and Detroit last year. It all depends if we can close out games this year. There were so many games we were leading in that we just gave away last year in the second half of games due to a number variables which we all already know. We have addressed both of those two main issues with the signing of Speedy along with Lo Wright and drafting The Landlord. There is no doubt in mind that if Speedy(in particular) and everyone else stays healthy we can easily win 35+ games and more. No doubt!

I was looking at the box score of the game and I don't think Orlando is that great personally. Darko had a horrible game. I think our players overall have more talent and are showing that on the court. I think we can be better than Orlando this year! We have a more complete team.

John Hollinger is obviously a complete idiot that doesn't know anything about the NBA. We will easily win more than 26 games this year! Give me a break . JJ would have to go down for us not to at least match last years win total.

Knapp sucks as an offensive coordinator! He doesn't run any good pass plays. No slants, no deep routes hardly, and no hitches. Our offense is so predictable. Plus our receivers SUCK! Shoddy White doesn't need to be starting period! Lelie has to be the starter from here on out. Jenkins dropped a perfectly thrown TD from Vick in the endzone that hit his hands. Vick is not the problem here. ITs this garbage west coast offense implemented by Knapp and our two #1 WR picks that are now officially BUSTS!
