  1. I like this a lot.

If he could somehow pull this off I believe we have a legit shot to at least the Eastern Conference Finals. I have no idea exactly how much money we have to spend but we do have a few of those exceptions so make it happen. I mean it's time the ASG just let it ride and go for it! Get at least Shaq and Barnes! Then were ballin!

  2. Here is what we need to do to round out the bench:

    1. Sign Shaq to the rumored offer of the mid-level 2yr/5.8mil a year

    2. Sign Matt Barnes to be that solid, tough defender off the bench and somehow trade Mo for a pick

    3. Sign T-Mac on the cheap too and see if he can take Marvin's starting job. We could get lucky. I bet he has one good year left in him.

    4. Sign Josh Boone

Realistically we could sign at least Shaq and Barnes. That would be a solid offseason.

    Teague/Bibby/Crawford

    JJ/Crawford/Jordan C.

    Marvin/Tmac/Mo

    Smoove/Al/Zaza

    Al/Shaq/Boone/Zaza

  3. Haha ATLANTA FANS! Gotta love all 10 of you!! Hotlanta you're taking it too personal bro. I guess that was supposed to be funny, IDK. I swear people on this board are on this site repeating some of my posts undercover or simply realistic minds think alike. Guess they're all bitter Knick fans and haters too....

and to buckeye, you say i'm intrigued by the Hawks? No, I just focus on every team that makes the playoffs because I love the sport. It's just the Hawks seem to embarrass themselves on national television the most. Buckeye says, "Really, it's a compliment. Spike wouldn't approve...." haha, there are a lot of things we don't approve of spike. Chilling with Reggie Miller, Kobe Bryant, even Penny back then. It's OK for another team to come on this board and express opinons. I'm a sports fan I've done the same on Orlando board about R. Lewis. The deal sucks and Magic fans will at least admit it. But good luck, see you in the playoffs hopefully soon...Haha @ stephon marbury yeah we were the laughing stock for a good while on that! @99PROBL3MS good post. Looks like Joe's new contract will be 99% of your future problems.

Dude, The Knicks are a COMPLETE joke right now. How can you remotely criticise the JJ deal when you just maxed out Amare? Neither player is worth the max but JJ keeps us in contention while Amare does nothing for your team unless you get Lebron which isn't happening. You have the most overrated coach in the NBA who teaches ZERO defense. He had great players in PHX if you remember and he can't coach worth a lick with Knicks players. The Knicks are terrible! Get a clue you moron!

  4. My Hornets friend said from what he has heard (this is literal third hand information I only repeat it here for fans) the Hornets are "kicking the tires" on a deal offered by the Hawks of Paul/Okafor for Smith/Crawford.

Sothron that would ge an absolute MONSTER move if we could pull that off. I hope your friend is right!

    Paul/Teague/

    JJ/Jordan C/Bibby

    Marvin/Evans/Filler

    Horford/Okafor/Filler

    Okafor/Shaq/Zaza

That team could easily be in the Eastern Conference Finals next year.

  5. Great Offer! Shaq could be the BIG we need downlow to soidify things. Plus bring some more fans to the games! SIgn Diesel and dangle Smoove/Marvin and see what bites! If not go into next year with a very solid team that could make some noise with a new coach and an actual offense. Looking good so far and it appears the ASG is going all in here. I expect another move...

  6. Nope. I believe this too. Honestly, we had the worst coach in the playoffs with one of the best talent in the playoffs. I'm not saying all we needed was a new coach for us to win a championship, but I truly believe that our players didn't play with the best of their capabilities because of the lack of coaching ability. I think if we keep the whole squad (not suggesting that we SHOULD), we would(will) be in the Eastern Conference Finals.

I agree as well. This team is loaded with talent but was underutilitzed by Wood's moronic assss! Horford himself said in an interview last week on 680 that Woody's philosophy on offense was 'he just let us go out there and play' with no offensive gameplan or sets.

  7. We have zero chance of advancing past the second round unless we make a major trade for a superstar. I don't care what they told Joe.

I disagree here. You honestly don't think we could be a much better team without Woody running the offense? we will actually be a running team with Drew I believe orchestrating the offense. Just look how ISO we were in the Orlando series with ZERO ball movement. We could of beaten Orlando with a REAL gameplan on offense. This team simply tuned out Woody's plan of 'just let them play' on offense. Everyone on our team will be better next year and with a new coach actually running offensive sets we can only get better and more cohesive. We can definitely make it past the second round with this team.

  8. This could be a big development brewing with Childress. Does this mean we can get him back possibly?

    http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/67298/20100619/olympiakos_trying_to_get_rid_of_childress/

Olympiakos of Greece may be trying to push former Hawks forward Josh Childress out the door, according to redplanet.gr.

Childress has another season on his contract Olympiakos, but he can opt before July 15.

His contract for next season is worth more than four million euros and Olympiakos may be looking for a way to get rid of Childress because of a change of tax laws.

  9. You are right..........most of the posters here are a joke.

Guess this was an attack on me for some reason but whatever. Yes most people on this board have no clue. Facts are facts though. Nets job is clearly better than the Hawks job right now. We are clearly taking a step back especially if Joe leaves. We will be lucky to win 40 games next year. Hiring Larry Drew would just be icing on the cake of what a pathetic ownership we really have.

  10. Can't blame Avery for taking the Nets job. It's a much better job than the Hawks. They have a legit Center in Lopez, legit PG in Harris, plus they have the #3 pick in the draft. Oh and a millionaire owner who is willing to do whatever it takes to improve his team unlike our inept ownership group. Were a joke people! Get ready for Larry Drew!

  11. Honestly i think we would be ok with either Avery or Casey as coach. I think they are both solid coaches but if we want to make a splash i say we hire Avery. The guy did take Dallas to the finals a few years ago eventhough they choked but they had a better team this year than that team. I say hire Casey or Avery but at this point i'm leaning towards Avery. I think he will force some discipline on Smoove's dumbass.
