  1. He doesn't have Paul outside game, that allows Paul to create. With he's shooting ability, players have to respect him, and give him his space, which allows him to create for other. Conley doesn't have that outside game, so players won't respect him. I really don't understand this comparison at all. He's more of a Tony Parker, and just like Parker, it's gonna take him a while to fully develop.
  2. He's 6'10, has a 7'5 wingspan, Super athlete, and is left handed. All that together seems like a potiential defesive monster! I really think he should be are pick, he's very similar to Aldridge, can play both C/PF, but he has more upside. He can come in play the 5, be a good defensive player early on, and develop he's offensive game. I can see him putting up 10/10 a night in his second year, and 10/8 his first year. He seems like a better pick than COnley, who a reach at 3. Than with the 11th pick we should take, Javaris Crittenton. he's just as NBA ready as Conle is (according to NBAdraft.net) and has way more upside.
  3. Theres a rumor that the Hawks could ship the 3rd pick and one the Sfs, for Zach Randoplh and Jarret jack. I personally think we can get more. This is one of the srongest draft in a long time, and were gonna trade a top 3 pick, for a player who is often overweight, and hasn't even led his team to the playoffs. I think it should be Childress for Jack straight up.
  4. I'd personally have a hard time, Conley over a player like Horford or Yi if I was The Grizz.
  5. What if Conley is there at 11, I know it's unlikely but did anybody expect Marcus Williams to fall to the 20s. If he's there, do you think Billy will pick him?
  6. I'm reading the statistic on Jaravis Crtitten and BRandan Wright, and their starting to grow on me. I wouldn't be opposed to picking Wright at 3, but only if were sure he can play the 5, it depends on how tall he measures up to. Remember though he has like a 7'5 wingspan, but he also needs to bulk up. Spencer Hawes, might not have as much upside but he does have a better skillset, and you can run your offense through him, and he has the best post moves since Kevin Mchale. Only player that can come close to his skills at the same stage, on the post is Al Jefferson. Jaravis Critten is starting to grow on me, he's 6'5 and a true p.g. He had alot of big time games, but what I notice is game with more TO than assist, he obviously talented, but raw. I like Conley, he's more NBA ready than Critt, and fits well with this team, he reminds me alot of Tony Parker, and he's very quick, and has goo leadership, something this team lacks. So who would prefer? Conley (3), Spencer Hawes (11) Wright(3), Javaris Crittenton(11) or other like, Yi (3), and Acie Law(11)
  7. It could be true, but I remember Billy saying he doesn't want a player that would help 3-4 years down the road, he wants players that would help right away. And yeah he did play with Josh on the Atlanta Celtics.
  8. I honestly think Shelden can be a Carlos Boozer type player, but not with the Hawks. We just have to many fowards, but once he leaves he gonna have Woodesen feel real stupid.
  9. Who said he's not athletic, he's pretty athletic for a center, he's no Josh Smith, but he okay. He has way more upside than Bogut does and Bogut not even a bust, he's a solid center.
  10. it would be filling both needs for the next 10 years, and if you fill the C and Pg spot, with talented players like these, you should be set for a long time. and in 5 years, I can see Hawes being one of the top 5 players in this draft.
  11. One thing that seperates him from Bogut is, he's prolly the most talented offensive center in the past 20 years. You can run your offense through him, with his post skills, he will command double teams, and with his passing skills, he will always find the open man. he can rebound, and is a solid defender. The only weakness he has is he isn't really athletic. He plays alot like a Brad Miller/Vlade Divac, but he'll prolly be better than both of them. I see him putting up 18pts 8reb 5ast 2blks, in his best years.
  12. Marvin has a higher ceiling than all of them, with the exception of Brendan Wright.
  13. It's also because he really likes school, and he's a early favorite to be the top pick next season.
  14. While Billy Knight might not want to pick a PG, I think Woodsen will force him to. He's fighting for his job next season, and he can't let Billy do something idiotic. While Woody might not being the best NBA coach, he's not exactly dumb.
  15. I didn't say it's gonna happen, just telling yall what I heard, it might or might not be true. We'll have to wait and see.
  16. They said he really likes school, and he can potientally be a top 3 pick next year.
  17. SOmebody at another board whos close to Georgetown, just said that Hibbert will come back to school, and Jeff Green will enter the NBA draft,I don't know if it's true. I think he said they'll be a press confrence tomorrow at 1 PM.
  18. I don't know if Noah will fall to us, but I'm not very high on him, but I rather have him than Hibbert. He's right about taking Conley.
  19. yep, it's not protected, thats why this draft is very important.
  20. unless your a freak like Oden, it's not easy for a big man thats raw, like Hibbert to come in and be an anchor, look at Shelden. I say draft Hawes, and get a defensive presence in free agency.
  21. Conley won't be there at 3, with Conley being a top 5 player on ESPN board, he'll probably be a top 5 player on everybody else board by tomorrow. Remember last year at this time everybody had Tyrus Thomas going at around 5-8, and after ESPN had him rank #1, everybody moved him up to the top 3.
  22. hey what happen to this thread, this is a good subject.
  23. WTF are you crazy? Brandan Wright is okay, but he's no better than Yi, or Horford, right now. The hawks have a legit shot at making the playoffs, were just a PG and C away, and lucky we have 2 pick in the lottery to work with, no way we draft a player on upside, thats would just set us back another 3-4 years.
