I'm starting to realize every player in this league is shoppable. LeBron, Kobe, and Durant included.
Except none of those guys will ever be shopped. LeBron just won his first champ'ship, Kobe IS LA, and Durant is Durant.

We only bite for Dwight Howard rumors.

Lou Williams is a good addition to our bench. Just cause he can't play the 1 and guard the 2 doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Players that are like that do just fine coming off the bench, especially players like Lou who can score down the line. I like this signing. I truly hope we exchange some of this guard depth for a big though... I'm not sure for who, but it doesn't even have to be Dwight.

Heard Ferry likes him some shooters, so I don't think the Jenkins pick was definitely a Larry Drew pick.
-
I don't think Howard is coming to Atlanta. I don't trust our commissioner either, I think he'll get it to work in Brooklyn. Howard will go to the Nets to continue the league's trend of forming Big 3's.

He's like a JJ Redick type of player.

Excellent signing by the Braves. Extremely low risk, very high reward type of deal.

I somewhat know him because he grew up in Torrington, CT and played against my high school basketball team a couple times a year. My boys in high school were close to him so I would sometimes see him at parties and stuff, he seems like a chill dude and from what I've heard he worked extremely hard in college. He could be a great role player but I read on RealGM before that they think he's being lazy at the pro level. Who knows, he still has the potential to be an excellent rebounder off the bench but as it should always be, he has to worker to get there. What do you think about this Jordan Williams kid? Seems he has some really good potential and he's pretty young.

I'd hate to be a party pooper, but with all these rumors flying around, I'd like more than "various reports" to "officially confirm" that this particular rumor is true.

He's good, but he doesn't get playtime. I'll never understand why they drafted 2 PG's that year...

You're a joke if you think Bynum isn't the real deal. C'mon son.I love how the media convinced most fans that Bynum is a top tier player when he is almost rarely consistent throughout his career. My favorite thing I hear from LA fans is we it's Kobe fault but isn't Gasol extremely consistent and you say it's because of Kobe. I am tired of this Bynum guy, he is nothing but a bigger, injury prone, nonathletic mental Josh Smith type of player. I love how the media tries to convince you he's a star when he's really what Josh Smith is for his position.

Read on RealGM that the trade talks with the Nets are about to fall through cause the Nets aren't comfortable enough to deal with JJ's contract anymore....and that deal would likely be Joe for Gasol straight up. Not good enough. More interested in what the Nets have to offer. Would like to know who else is interested in Joe... With all of this interest, I'm starting to wonder if this a mistake to trade Joe...

That wouldn't even work in NBA 2K12.I want Gasol for Joe. Trade Howard to Atlanta for Horford. Trade Gasol to Minny for Rubio and scrubs. Squad upRubioJenkinsMarvinSmooveHoward

If we trade JJ, we won't get as much value as we would from Smoove simply because his contract is so bad. That's why if an opportunity comes up where we don't have to give up any part of the future (such as picks or whatever) to get rid of Joe's contract, we should do it. While Smoove has more value right now because of his "cap-friendly" expiring contract.

Leadership? I don't think there's much leadership value in Johnson, tbh.Our first round draft pick is to replace JJ's scoring. We know he can'treplace his defense or his leadership. He can, however, replace hisscoring. JJ shoots a lot. Sometimes, he scores a lot. Sometimes, hejust shoots a lot and scores some.Hawks just picked up the best that there was in this year's draft whenyou're talking about scoring. Some say he's one dementional. Still,if you're going to be good in one thing, why not get the very best one.

I'm going to church tomorrow to pray to God this happens.

I remember when we gambled on greatness and drafted Marvin Williams. :(

Here's to us trading up for Drummond...
-
I'm a UConn fan and would love to have Drummond on this team, but like Calhoun said, to anyone that gets Drummond they need to be patient. I think he's three to four years away to really 'getting it'. His offensive post moves are not impressive at all but even with that flaw he was still fun to watch because of his athleticism and great defensive awareness. He's similar to DeAndre Jordan when he came in, perhaps even more raw. Or maybe even Bynum... But I know he will take at least a few more years to be 'ready'... With that said, I would love to trade up for him almost as much as I wanted us to trade up for Thabeet though.

Does anyone happen to have a history report on Ferry's draft picks?
-
"I'm never watching a Hawks game this season again!!!"
-
Because he was injured last year, yes. Because he was rushed to the majors, yes. Because he has the potential to be our leadoff man in the future, yes. Because he has shown flashes of potential as both a gold glover and a speedster on base, yes.

I actually thought it was going in again... just a few centimeters to the left and it woulda been BOTTOMS!
Top 5 quarterbacks... RIGHT NOW.

You can't put Flacco in front of Ryan, especially when you're talking about RIGHT NOW. Flacco had the much better defense, but he absolutely dominated this postseason. Ryan, although he wasn't a slouch either, cost his team 2 crucial turnovers against the 49'ers.
I'd say...
5. Joe Flacco
4. Drew Brees
3. Aaron Rodgers
2. Peyton Manning
1. Tom Brady
