We are talking about the here and now...not what Dog did 5 years ago.....Dog is a jump shooter...Ray allen is a scorer. If Jax is so bad ....a master of none....yet Dog only shot 43% and he is supposed to be a great scorer...then what does that make Jax....he is better defensively and he shoots 40% Like I told Diesel if you can look at game tape from last year and say that Big Dog is better all around basketball player..then so be it. I will take Jax taking charges...ripping lose balls away from PFs and diving on the floor ...playing solid D moving with out the ball for easy lay ups and dunks. Than a player who doesn't hustle or play D ...maybe his ankles are bad...but Dog can't move man....he can't play D and his offensive moves consist of three pump fakes and a jump shot. The fact is when Dog's shot was off last year in games...he couldn't offer ANYTHING else....SJax can.

You come up here with a bunch of BS stats and talk about reality...watch a [censored] game. If I was 6'8 and shot 20 times every game I would probably avg. 20 a game The facts are if you look at some tape from last year and watch Dog play.....with and without the ball and you think Dog is a better player than Jax right now...then so be it. There is a reason that Dog has been traded twice in a blink of an eye....and it is not for cap space.....[censored] I'm sure Philly would have taken Reef.

Big Dog is not a scorer...scorers get to the basket ...scorers breakdown defenses...Dog is a GREAT mid range jump shooter...thats all he can do well. Rebounding is easy when you are not guarding your man...you are in perfect position...Big Dog is horrible.. When Dog first got here I thought he was a scorer and rebounder and all that too....then I started to watch some games and repeatedly see Dog beaten by his man in half court and transition ...and to call a man who can't dribble a scorer is just funny to me...Shaq...Tim Duncan [censored] I think Nazr can dribble better than Dog..that is not an exaggeration it is the truth. Maybe it is the bad ankles but....S Jax is way more of a complete player than Dog...I don't know what that exactly means...but oh well. People see the 20 points and say Dog is clearly a great scorer and all this...then they look at JT and his 20 points a game and want to trade him....Dog better thank God for Sam Cassell and Ray because he has made his living off wide open jump shots...Dog is no more a scorer than Steve Kerr... Jim Paxson... Tim Legler......the ONLY differences..he is 6'8 so he can shoot over most people and selfish.

See the problem with doubling AI is that you can't..he is too quick ...he dribbles around most double teams and that leaves you vunerable to layups from weak rotations...thats why a lot of teams don't double him.....plus they run him around screens and he catches and shoots ...how do you double that? The fact is when playing Philly you put your best defenders on AI let him get his ...play solid D everybody else and win...had AI scored a normal 30 instead of 50 ...I think we would have won. But if we had started sending doubles at AI on the perimeter...it would have been worse...you would have seen a lot of layups and dunks.

There you go thinking only offense again. Nobody said that Dog couldn't shoot the problem is that is all he can do. He is horrible on defense, combine that with no ball handling skills and just plain laziness, and oh yeah..selfishness ...and bad ankles = a trade for cap space. Big Dog was a big problem because he came in and tried to carry the Hawks...we put the ball in his hands way too often...I would trade Big Dog for Brandon over and over. S JAX is what he is...he didn't come in with all the hype Big Dog did and he is much cheaper..and he hustles ...the only thing Dog is really better at is mid range shooting. If Big Dog was tryin to win...why didn't he play defense...or even get back in transition or dive for loose balls or take charges....if you call jacking up jumpers trying to win then you need to watch the game a little more carefully. What JT is missing is that after they "would kill guys" those same guys would come down and kill them...get a TO and come down and kill them again. ....lol We need a demanding coach. I think Stotts will be a good coach but this is just bad timing...we needed a vet coach that was proven after Lon...we didn't get one and now we must pay for it.

That was not a personal attack...I just wanted to see his level of education ....he is the person referring to people as "ghetto trash" by the way they speak. How can you not notice the improvent in team D...that is already evident and is probably going to improve.

I don't know about benching Dion ....he gives us grit...if you notice out of all of our guards as sfs he is the only one that consistently takes contact and finishes at the rim...we need that when the jumpers aren't falling. I think Diaw should come off the bench at least this year. Dion is effective we he is confident...we don't need to go mess with that now...plus he is so anxious when he comes off the bench, he forces things even more.

The problem with our pick and roll is the guard never shoots off of the pick or hardly ever penetrates the lane. The guard JT and JV are guilty of coming off the pick picking up their dribble and looking to pass. When our guards start to burn defenses with jumps shots or penetration thats win the roll guy can be wide open whether it is pick and roll pick and fade or pick and pop.

Man what the [censored] are you talking about. Nobody said that the Hawks would win the championship if Dog was gone. We know that this team has problems...but for the money Dog was making he is [censored] horrible...all he can do is shoot mid range jumps shots and dribble off his foot. Dion was trying to get to the hoop and draw fouls because no one else could score a point in the 4th. Dion won this game with his D on Baron late in the 4th...Baron is probably one of the hardest players to guard in the league and Dion put the clamps on him. Dion had TO's because when we went into offensive lulls he tried to get to the line. They way to break out of lulls is go to the basket.

My point was ...you are talking about lighting fire under fannies....and I said players have to be accountable for their effort....I used Floyd as an example as when he sends PJ and BD and Lynch on the floor they know they have to play hard...they might not be effective but they will compete...I don't think Floyd brings FIRE to the Hornets, the players do! If you can't see the improvement in team D that Stotts has made then u r blind. As far as I see the Hawks have been playing with FIRE...execution hasn't always been there but they have been hustling. Not many teams in this league get up by double digits in the first half and cruise to victory...every team in the NBA is more than likely to make runs on the best teams....but I guess when these teams make runs ....the opposing coach needs to light some fannies on fire.

That's what I mean... JT uses his speed at times when he should not. He has to be more patient and calm when teams make runs. Its like when things go bad JT says I have to hurry up and fix things....JV says I have to slow this down and fix things. There is nothing wrong with walking the ball up the floor sometimes or when Dion or Jax bring it up.. JT needs to call for it at the top of the key hold it and make sure people go where they need to be....he needs to calm down...he is just a kid trying to play as hard as can to try and help us win...he needs to be patient.

So you are saying that Tim Floyd is a better motivator than Stotts. At some point the players have to be sick of losing and play hard enough to win. It is really that simple. Do you think Floyd has to fire up BD PJ Lynch and those vet cats they have....we have to come evry night and compete .....we have so far......Stotts is not Larry Brown...but he is very capable.

The play we ran to pop Jax out for the 3 when we were up by one was flawless. I think JV has a better handle on slowing things down when things go bad. JT tends to try to use his speed to correct things...thats what gets us in trouble. JT has to be a little more patient and I think he will.
