  1. having Bid Dog on this team!
  2. Halftime and they are tied with Dallas, how much of a confidence builder would this game be if we win! Atlanta, you can doooooooo it! (line excerpted from the Waterboy) peace.JDB
  3. No dumping the season! We didn't kick into high gear until after the All Star break last year. Hopefully they will play a couple catch-up games during the break. Personally, I see them turning around in the next ten games. I believe we will win at least three of those ten, where as six are attainable. We will hit our role on the road versus Cleveland and go 7-3. We then have a pretty sporadic schedule where we could, I repeat, COULD go on a pretty descent winning streak after we play Dallas on February 18. I'm talking fifteen wins in a row. It is very do-able against those teams, Portland and Seattle being the hardest. So, again, NO DUMPING ALLOWED! peace.JDB
  4. Very interesting, but no. Sorry, I just can't see Terry going anywhere. And if they do trade them, I'll seriously consider routing for Golden State; that, or whatever team he does go to. I will say though, that team sounds like it would have chemistry. How about Eddie Jones for Glenn Robinson, straight up? I'd do it in a f*cking heartbeat. peace.JDB
  5. Well, it didn't seem like a bad game from the second quarter on. While "reading" the game this evening, a neat little thought came to me. Why don't we take from Boston's gameplan? Let us live and die by the three. We have three shooters instead of just two, so our success is inevitable. One problem is that Shareef hasn't been taking his shots. What's up with that? Did Stotts just trade Big Dog and Shareef's positions? I notice that instead of Robinson getting all the turnovers, it's Reef. I wish I could "watch" these [censored] games so I could have some understanding of what is going on. Argh!! peace.
  6. I hate to say it, but I hope that we don't make any huge, "shake 'em up" trades. We need to work on your chemistry and if we continue to make high-profile trades, then we're not going to get that chemistry. If we do trade, we need to get rid of high-priced, non-developing players. We need better bench players. We don't have a reliable sixth-man. [censored], we don't even have a fifth "starter" on the team. The way I see it, the only players truly expendable are Henderson, Glover, Crawford, Ham and Wilks. Everyone else is, or will be, an important part of this team. I feel that Stotts is using Robinson, Theo and Shareef much better. I believe that JT can and should continue to be our point until we can find a bigger point or, as some have mentioned, a point forward (which means we get rid of Robinson, because he is more expendable than Reef). Newble will be our six-man if ever we get a fifth. Nazr is coming back from injury, but I seem him growing back into form. Dickau is young, period. If we are able to get some chemistry going with these players, then all we need is a tall point.
  7. I do have to say, I'm not able to watch the games, but through reading the game updates on ESPN it seems that the only huge problem we had was not being able to connect from outside. That and it would have been nice to have some bench scoring. On another note, we cannot continue to give the ball up after we just stole it; this is counter-productive. It is hard to believe that it all falls upon JT after one disappointing game. Did JT just happen to trip upon 12 assists? Did JT's two steals come from his lack in defending? Would we have been so close without JT scoring 15 points? Would we have one the game if JT hit at least three of his seven attempts instead of just one? To your concerns about his ability to play point, he's not freaking John Stockton (and if he was, the Hawks probably wouldn't be my team). To your concerns about his defense, he's showing up. To your concerns about his shooting averages, they are a little down but we're not even halfway through the season. And would they have won? YES! One more thing. About the Detroit announcers, f*ck them! Of course they're going to say we're [censored], they're "Detroit's" announcers. They look at our standings and the way we played under Kruger, but we're changing (hopefully) under Stotts. Give us some time, damnit!
  8. How can you say we'd have no depth? Do we really have it now? Besides, we get better players back at all positions. Arenas' and JT's statlines are almost identical. Can you say "mini Francis and Mobley." Of course we'll have to look for a SF again, but a SF is much easier to find these days than a PG. Anyway, Newble is more of a SF, he'd do a fine job for the time being and Ham has shown himself of being a capable backup. If you have a problem with Fortson, look at his career statline. Next year, if he's able to play, he'll be on his game. Right now, he's going to be trapped. And how could you disagree with Foyle. I mean, I like Nazr, almost to the point where I would hate to see him go, but Foyle is getting 5.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 2.33 bpg in 20.7 mins. This sounds to me like we'd sit Theo for a little rest and have another Theo (Foyle) playing. That, or Foyle comes in for Shareef and we have a "what, you want to come in our paint"-type scenario. Better ball movement plus better defense equals playoffs. Of course, a little chemistry doesn't ever hurt.
  9. Okay, I had it all plotted out, but then my computer decided to go on a fritz. So no details, just facts. Atlanta gets: Gilbert Arenas - a point guard that will compliment JT (plus they're both from Arizona) Ardonal Foyle - blocks of the bench, good numbers for bench Danny Fortson - he is on his game two-out-of-three years, we just have to suffer with him in his down year (this year) Team change: less TO's, more defense and, as I said, a point that compliments JT. Atlanta's RUNNING Lineup: Arenas / Wilks JT / Glover Newble / Ham Reef / Fortson Theo / Foyle ****** Golden State gets: Glenn Robinson - can do what he was made to do, come off the bench to give big numbers Alan Henderson - solid backup for Murphy, good numbers off bench Nazr Mohammed - gives them another big man for the big West, numbers off bench Team change: SCORING & REBOUNDS. Realize that I am going off of last years numbers for Nazr. Boykins gets his chance to start, Dunleavy gets more minutes and Robinson becomes the biggest sixth-man in the West. Golden State's SCORING Lineup: Boykins / Welsch JRich / Dunleavy Jamison / GRob Murphy / Hendu Dampier / Nazr ...and that's a fix.
