  1. Is there any way yall think we can package some players and picks to acquire Kevin Love from minnesota. They are the toilet bowl of the league and I'm sure they will make a screw up trade. I understand he is not a banger at center but you can't deny the talent, and with him alongside Horford that could be dangerous. He's a great passer and can step out to the 3pt line. Horford has the mid range game to be dangerous also. Also, Teague needs to learn the NBA game by experience. If you don't remember that's how Rondo got better. He was at one point the weakest link on their lineup. Teague has the athletic abilitiy to be vital on both sides. He must improve his jumpshot but at WF he was deadly and I'm sure that's because his confidence was high knowing he the green light on offense. Bibby is nothing but a pick and roll pop shooter right now. In reality we don't have a championship squad so we should allow our younger players to develop such as JC2 and Teague.
  2. crawford, marvin, zaza, draft pick to NO for ariza and okafor....... we get our center and an effective defensive swingman who could be a problem off the bench next to JC2 and Powell.
  3. I understand we just gave him the big money but do yall think he would reconstructure his contract ala Peyton Manning in order for the best of the team. I mean he got 120 million and ive never had anything close but im sure he could do without some of that. That would free up cap space and if he's serious about winning then that wouldnt be a problem so we could acquire a true big man!
  4. yea i remember the draft but didnt we have a chance to trade for him a few years back?
  5. Didn't we have a chance to get Monta Ellis? I usually watch the late night west coast games and I always see him filling it up, it never fails. I understand its GS's system but he could have been a problem next to JJ, Smoove, and Horford. Teague has the potential!
  6. How would yall like a move to get DeAndre Jordan to play center. He's young and defensive minded and he crashes the boards good. Put him alongside Al Horford and I'm sure his play would increase. A lineup of Bibby, JJ, Smoove, Horford, and Jordan would be solid. Marvin off the bench, the role he is best suited for. Also, Teague should be given more play time imo we should allow him to develop by experience, he has the potential and athletic ability to be a force on both sides of the floor. Idk who we could trade but Jordan is a nice young prospect and there arent many other options of centers besides Mcgee from Washington who would also fit right in with his athletic ability.
  7. lol smh that is sad that he has the nets and clippers listed but u cant blame him, look at our ownership. however, atl is a very good marketable area known for its hiphop and nightlife, which he has interests in music (i think he has his own label) and his wife could mesh down here. the trio of melo jj and horford would only make teague better and nene is no scrub he dunks almost everything and plays hard.
  8. We could package Jamal Crawford, Josh Smith, Mo Evans, and some picks for Anthony and a few more Nuggets players such as JR Smith and Nene. Both Crawford and Mo have contracts that are expiring. However, Melo and Jr Smith both have expiring contracts but this deal makes sense for both teams. The Nuggets receive a young star in Smoove and two good bench players who can contribute. I am a big Smoove fan, he's my favorite player on this team but in order to bring a championship to Atl this is the right move in taking a step closer. Melo would obviously work well with JJ and Horford. JR Smith would take Jamal Crawford's role as the offensive sparkplug off the bench and add more consistent 3pt shooting. Horford would then be able to play PF with Nene playing center. The bench is left with Jordan Crawford, Teague/Bibby, Zaza, Marvin, who could play 3 and 4 depending on whether melo or horford is off the floor, and Thomas. Teague/Bibby/Sy JJ/JR/JC Melo/Marv Horford/Zaza Nene/Etan
  9. Marc Gasol is one of the better young centers in this league. He's often overlooked because he plays for Memphis but if we could find a way to bring him to Atlanta to play alongside Horford that could be dangerous. Horford is versatile with a mid range and game and Gasol has skill (as do most foreign players) who can play inside the 3pt line. Crawford is looking to request a trade and they need a veteran guard in Memphis ala Bibby who could mentor. If we could find a way to package our players and picks to bring Gasol over that would be great.
  10. yea his confidence is down and he's still young so you kno how emtions are up and down but he has the buildup of a matchup nightmare who can play in and out and do damage but i have faith in Marvin, I think this mite be his year to emerge into a consistent midrange/3pt shooter and do more work on the boards
  11. i like Marvin but he jus doesnt have that "superstar" mindset, he has all the tools to be great ala Lamar Odom with his versatility the play inside out but its mental. but yea a coach could help his development and some support from the fans and most importantly the coaching staff and team. trust me I play ball once u know that everyone is confident in your abilities it makes everything easier on the court
  12. shutup fool i watch da game on NBATV i almost cussed u out
  13. 1st I want to say that Teague is the future at PG!!! He wasn't an superstar or anything but his poise on the court and basketball IQ is evident by watching him play the game. He isn't too vocal but there were plays when he made backdoor cuts, precise passes, and just read the defense and took the easy play. He also played good defense against OJ Mayo who made some shots that he couldn't do anything against. Although the Grizzlies used their regular season team, all five starters were on regular season roster, he looked comfortable. Jordan Crawford is a very good shooter. His ball handling needs improvement as he sloutches when he plays and his dribbling is weak but he can score the ball. If he can develop into a spot up shooter and energy player off the bench he can earn PT. IMO those were the only NBA players on the team. Pape Sy is mediocre and was not worthy of that pick. I also watched the Kings summer league game and watched Whiteside block so many shots and cause fits for the opposing team on defense. He looked very good playing help side defense which could of helped with Horford matched up with the other teams best offensive player. Randolph Morris is a bum! There is no way he should make the roster. Gladyr really didnt do anything, and the other players were just out there. We're set at the guard positions and we need a center!!! But the game was good as Teague and JC2 looked good together.
  14. Instead of trying to give JJ the max offer which is clearly the wrong decision bc he's not close to being worth that much money, we should wait and see wat eastern conference teams stack up on superstars. We already have the Celtics, Magic, and if the Heat/Bulls/Knicks end up with the top tier free agents there is no way our roster with an overpaid JJ is going to win anything in the postseason. If that happens we should jus start rebuilding and focus the team around Smoove and Horford. We have Teague, Crawford, JC2, Marvin, Smoove, Horford, and bring Childress back. We could use Crawford as trade bait along with Bibby and Zaza to get younger players or draft picks and free up cap space. JJ is NOT a franchise player, he is at best the 2nd or 3rd option on a championship team and being stuck for 5+ yrs with a player earning money as a superstar who isnt def is wrong!!! If we do end up resigning JJ we should trade him for younger players bc he isnt the answer for this team to be a legit contender.
  15. im all for it but then we would need a SG who could start and play some perimeter defense! (Childress) then would then have Bibby/Teague, Crawford(6th man of the year why change the role now. He's better off the bench anyways), JC2, Marvin, Mo, and Zaza. the ultimate need is a true center but this could be a good team as we look for a center in the future. Teague/Bibby Childress/Crawford/JC2 Melo/Marv/Mo Smoove/Marv/Smith Horford/Zaza
  16. Alot of people have been bashing JJ but be reasonable he might not be a franchise player but we wont find anything close to him as he's the 3rd best SG in the league only behing Kobe and Dwade. In the new offense he will have to get his teammates more involved and he has great point guard skills for his size. We also need to get Chillz back over and let him compete with Marv for the SF spot. I believe Chillz could start and add perimeter defense and his movement w/o the ball is good for the new offense. If Marv is moved to the bench he could be used as a combo forward. We should sign a center like Brendan Haywood who could come in and grab boards and play defense. He's a legit 7 footer with very long arms who is playing his best ball right now. We could one of the deepest teams in the league with that addition. Smoove can play the 3 and even on offense I read that he won't be on the perimeter so the defensive frontline would be intimidating!!! Teague/Bibby JJ/Crawford/JC2 Smoove/Childress/Mo Horford/Marvin/Smith Haywood/Zaza As a team we are known to keep roughly 13 players on the roster as Joe Smith could be a veteran prescence who still stays around the team and helps Larry Drew out, and we need to keep Bibby until next when his contract is expiring and we can trade him but right now Teague need some guidance from one of the best PGs wen he play in Sac. Horford could then play 4 and our forwards could cause matchup problems.
  17. Teague will flourish, I believe he will put up numbers this yr
  18. perimeter defense can be improved if we bring Childress back!!!
  19. Wat do yall think of Haywood he could come in and play alongside Horford and grab boards and do dirty work. We also need to bring back Childress and give him the chance to compete for the starting SF spot. Marvin off the bench would benefit this team as he could play both the 3 and 4 positions and create mismatch problems. Allow Horford to still start at center and when he plays PF we have the option of both Zaza and Haywood to come in and play defense Teague/Bibby JJ/Crawford Childress/Marvin/Mo Smoove/Smith Horford/Haywood/Zaza
  20. i like this alot and i agree about childress! I really think Marvin could be a threat off the bench as he could come in and play the 3 and 4. And yea Kurt Thomas or someone like Brendan Haywood to come play defense in the post instead of think Randolph Morris could actually do it smh and with the draft picks jus pick some defensive minded players and dirty work type players
  21. We could sell them on the idea of Marvin Williams being their option at 3 since Corey Brewer hasnt done a great job and also throw in Mike Bibby as a veteran guard to help mentor Flynn and backup until Rubio comes over. We could also throw in the draft pick because Jefferson would help this team at center. Then bring over Childress for perimeter defense and him and Crawford as the two primary wings off the bench along with Evans. Then we would just need another backup PG as Teague will start under LD and another backup PF as Joe Smith is too old to log heavy mins every game. A player like Amundson who can be the energy player off the bench and a steady backup PG like Steve Blake. Teague/Blake JJ/Crawford Smoove/Childress/Mo Horford/Amundson/Smith Jefferson/Zaza
  22. How do yall feel about bring Al to the ATL. He could play center and allow Horford to play PF. Him and Love couldnt exist together so they're trying to trade him.
  23. 1st off resign JJ - He is the 3rd best SG in the league and he may not be a true franchise player but we wont find anything better! We need to bring Childress back to help bolster the bench and add more perimeter defense. We need to find a way to draft a true center such as Orton who may be around for our pick. He won't add any offense but he could be a Kendrick Perkins type player who rebounds and blocks shots. That allows us to move Horford to the PF where he can do damage and move Smoove to the 3. He needs to work to play it but he can do it. Then allow Teague the chance to start. I'm a huge Teague fan as I watched him in college and I think he could run PG for this team. Teague/Bibby JJ/Crawford Smoove/Childress/Mo Horford/Marvin/Smith Orton/Zaza this could be lineup over time as Orton gets more experience and the bench is much deeper. its just a thought since I know we wont do much free agent signings so give feedback.
