End of the Hawks season?

Just an avatar bet. Not the end of the world.

I'll say KAT will be a Hawk by the start of the season.

I'm just here for fun. But I'm assuming he had a specific deadline in place.

I'll take that bet and wager my avatar. KAT will he a Hawk.

Dude is going to end up being the next Isiah Thomas and Dennis Schröder. No supermax contract, lower value due to lower stats this season, and no contract leverage. Sometimes we have to be able to read the room and his agents get paid to do it.

That is the perfect reason why I want KAT. He's not built to carry a team as a #1, but he can push us over the top as a #2 or #3.

Even if this is a smokescreen, I'm done with the Raptors and Pascal. Canada can keep their Michael Jordan and pay him the supermax. Let's move on to whatever other 3rd superstar we can get.

I mean we're kinda past that stage of embarrassment. We tried to get KD and the Nets used us to get a better deal from Phoenix. (At least that's how I will always remember it) We kept JC way too long, hoping he would improve and we could get better assets and had to trade him for peanuts. We're still coming out of this looking better than the Knicks who always get used for better trades. That's all that counts.

He better pay attention to the JC situation. He's walking himself into a horrible deal when he's had fair-value offers already.

So we have a group of 3 individual posters who got together to make up "insider information," come to the board with it, know they are lying about sources, and luck into talking about multiple scenarios that would go on to happen before it's reported nationally. And you are complaining about the free entertainment?

No, let's not do that. Disagreements should never end in a ban unless one side goes too far with personal shots. This is a message board and we are all discussing. Banning posters for disagreeing seems, extreme.

Both names have been mentioned by all three insiders for a while now. They all have mentioned that Siakam is the top target, but the FO would be absolutely stupid not to have a backup plan, which is KAT. These guys are not journalist who's reputation hinges on them being right and breaking scoops before anyone else. These are guys who just so happen to have sources within the team and around the league. Give it a rest on them being right 100% of the time on who, what, when, where, and how.

DieselVision makes me miss the Dieselputer posts.

I wanted Ben last offseason. I won't run away from that. But he's done. I don't see him returning and being the All-NBA player he was before he broke in the 2021 Playoffs.

I love that from our side. But if Minny wants to get off of KAT's money, they aren't getting much savings and both players are signed long term.

I gotta admit I would be thrilled if that is all we gave up. KAT can replace the offense provided by all 3 pretty easily. I would just be worried about the defense, but Capela is the only good defender being lost and OO is taking his spot.
