Hey all, I'm a Hawks fan here in Australia and Josh Childress has signed with my local pro team here. I'm after a Hawks jersey of his to wear to games, preferably an authentic Reebok one. I have several Hawks jerseys but never got a Childress one, saw one on eBay once and kicking myself now. I've checked eBay currently and there is only a few screen pring 2XL's on their and I am a 5'7 172lbs guy so they are far to big. Id be after a 40-44-48 but no bigger. I like 2 out of favor guys who we can get on the real cheap this coming off season. I think Kaman could be the starting C we have needed to move Al to the PF. He has a history of getting injured but is a former All-Star and can play given minutes. If he does go down we could always move Al back the C to cover some minutes. I also like Aaron Brooks, think he is very similar to Teague. If Teague is re-signed could be a very good back up at a dirt cheap price, he's fast can shot can create. I think AB could be alot like Nate Robinson (who I have loved for years), these 2 could be low risk high reward types every teams wants.

I live in Australia and would give anything to be able to watch the Hawks live in Atlanta on a regular basis. Its a shame people who live in Atlanta take having a good NBA team to watch for granted, the best league here is AUS is lucky to have a few NBA rejects.I went to Atlanta last year to see a home game, best day of my life. Every game on TV I watch through some crappy internet stream I cant help but wish I was there cheering them on and help giving them a true home court advantage.The Hawks last year went out of there way to grant me my wish of meeting assistant coach Nick Van Exel, he was my favorite player and hero growing up. The Hawks didnt have to do anything, I already paid for a ticket and being from Australia I cant buy season tickets....but ill always love the Hawks for caring about the little guy and ill always be forever greatful to the team.I just hope some of the people who attend regularly appreciate how lucky they are, as someone like me would love to be there in person.Would like to mention the cheer squad who hold up the big posters of the players faces, you guys do a great job supporting the team and one day If I can ever afford to return to Atlanta for a vacation Id love to get tickets and sit up there in all my Hawks gear with you. Keep up the good work, and go Hawks.

it was Pargo that Lowry blocked not Teague. Teague is young and going to have bad games, so far this year besides today he has been great. This is his first season starting so give him some patience I believe he will be great for us this season.

I tried to find Arthur Triche's email address using the Hawks staff directory but they do not list the individual email addresses of staff. I emailed hawks.service@atlantaspirit.com as this is the only email address I could find on the site although I emailed this about a month ago without responce. I have a bunch of old Hawks games on DVD from the 80's, 90's and 00's, If anybody can help me out ill gladly make copies of your choice and give them to you for your help. Im no NVE stalker, I have a girlfriend! I just collect peronalised autographes, games on DVD and jersey's (Im a Basketball junkie). Considering NVE was my favourite player during my childhood, I cant think of anything cooler than my huge NVE poster personally signed to me framed and hanging from my wall. A photo with him would also be awesome. Who in Australia could say they ever got to meet there favourite NBA player? not many. Ill email Arthur Triche and try my luck, no harm in trying. Thanks for all the help, Id love to have been able to attend the team function on the 30th but only just found out about it from this thread. Ill be Hawaii at the time as im going to the NFL Pro Bowl, had I have known I would have come to Atlanta instead. I was after the the email address of the PR department to see if I could write ahead of time and explain my situation, but fortunately I did buy tickets right near the players entrance to the court. Im going to 2 road games, one in New York and one in LA so hopefully If I miss out I may be able to be successful there. Does anybody know if NVE goes on the road with the team? Id assume he would. Hey Hawks Fans. Im attending my first Hawks game in a few weeks (Feb 5), I Live in Australia and am making the trip to ATL to see the Hawks. Im after some info on a few things before I come. Ive been a huge Nick Van Exel fan my whole life (Became a fan of his when he played college for Cincy) and he is now currently an assistant for the Hawks. Below are a few things id like some info on before I arrive, any help would be really appreciated. * Does anybody have the email address of phone number of the PR Department? * Nick Van Exel recently was assigned to the D-League to help Pape Sy, anybody know when he will be back? * Anybody have any advice or tips for getting an autograph and maybe a photo? * Does Nick Van Exel come out pre-game to do pre-game workouts with players? * Does the team store do on the spot custom jerseys? Im so thankful for any help you guys can provide, this is a once in a lifetime trip and opportunity for me and Im really looking forward to seeing the Hawks. Im a huge Van Exel fan from his playing days but am really starting to like the Hawks, Jamal Crawford is quickly becoming a favourite of mine (Please get him re-signed!). Thanks.

Hey CS, Considering you can not spell his surname correctly, how do you have such a good knowledge on Nick's ability as a father? Considering Nick Jr's parents have been seperated since before he even started playing in the NBA, the 2 shared custody. By your reasoning every NBA player coach official ect. must be a bad father. As for me I feel Nick was a great player, he made 1 all-star team but believe he would have been selected for a few more if not stuck on a terrible Nuggets team during his prime. We also have television and Internet in Australia, the NBA is not foreign to us just look at the success of some Australian players who have played in the NBA. Anyway, if anybody has some information Id appreciate if it could be posted here. Thanks.

Been a huge fan of Nicks since I first saw him play for Cincinnati in 1993, following his whole career from the day he stepped into the NBA. This is really sad news for the Van Exel family, Nick has done so much over the years for several charities and even making many sacrifices in his own career for the good of others. This news would crush Nick, after a rocky relationship with his own father he made sure he was always there for his son. Im sure none of us could understand what Nick Sr. and Nick Jr. are going through right now, We as Hawks fan can only offer our support and understanding at this time. I live in Australia and am coming to Atlanta in Feb to see a Hawks game live, I was really hoping to see Nick and see if I could get an autograph and a photo with my biggest childhood hero. If anyone gets any new information about Nick Sr. status with the team can you please update it here as I will be checking on here regularly. I hope Nick wont resign or take a leave of absence but If he does I will totally understand, I wish him and his family all the best as well as the family of the victum.

Hopefully Nick Van Exel, Larry Drew and Mike Bibby can work with him. All three have a good knowledge of the position and should be able to train and mentor him.
