I hope Dedmon can play up to his 36 stats. If he can the signing is great. If he can't then it is 7 million a season for a bench guy. I like the signing, but wary of the fact he hasn't played long minutes for long stretches. But again, good signing considering what we are trying to do.

It's so weird sometime here!! The same guys will look at a guy's performance in college and draw all kinds of conclusions but once he plays against the best college players and pros in summer league, the competitions isn't good enough to conclude anything. Just bizarre to me
College is funny in a way. You play more of a team style, a longer schedule, and more pressure than SL, however not everyone in college will sniff the NBA. In SL you have guys trying to make a roster or develop, but the short schedule and lack of a full offensive play package as well as marginal D makes it hard to evaluate against real, tested NBA players and talent.
There can be merit in both. Seeing how a guy develops over a longer season, plays as a team, and under pressure in college is great. In SL it is good to evaluate basic BB IQ and how they develop certain parts of their game.

lol - If we have the most ping pong balls the lowest we can possibly pick is 4th - even if the system is totally rigged against us.
That was the joke. If the NBA can find a way for us NOT to get a Superstar they will...lol

So we have 11 signed players? I though we renounced Illy, Thabo, and a couple more.

Yes this is correct, with our draft picks.

Its quite obvious our genius GM does not want to sign a free agent. But, somewhere and somehow we gotta get to that magic 82 million on salary.
WE sit at 77 million with 11 players. Meaning 2-3 more with 5 million to meet that number.

I dunno bout dat. I think right now we're actually as stoked as we ever are this time of year, if not more, just because of all of the roster churning that has went on and is expected to go on still more.
Once we get the roster settled, I agree the casual fans will quickly lose interest. But most of us here aren't casual fans. I suspect we'll be fairly engaged, actually, depending on the degree to which we see our young players developing.
I'm all for developing players, I am not for a bad product. Right now we have a bad product. I'm not saying we need to make the playoffs or have a great team, I like the idea of trying to get a generational or superstar in the draft, since it is proven that is the only way we get one. But right now the roster has little excitement at all.

Not many people outside of this forum are going to care about this team after the first month of the season. They will check out early.
Wow are you optimistic. I think people have already checked out with this roster.

I did some quick math. Not including Collins, Dorsey, and Alpha, the current roster has an average PPG of about 75. Only 4 players average double digits and by far Schröder is the highest at 17.9. Next closest is 11.2. Now sure we don't know what the rookies will do, but man this roster looks pedestrian and terrible.

We got a lot of shooting so I doubt that but man, we need more vets
It would be an interesting stat to research. What are the career PPG of our current roster?

I think the Dr. J he is referring to is a generic brand of Dr. Pepper.
Bembry would be closer to little sweet than Dr. J

If this isn't a rebuild, I would HATE to see what a real Schlenk rebuild looks like lol.

Our squad is worse than Brooklyn last year and sadly, there are some terrible rosters in the East. Look at Chicago but Atlanta might take the tank cake
I dont think our entire teams PPG hits 70.

thanks Schlenk...sh*t bag
LOL. That is what makes this so funny. The truth hurts. It's like Deadpool. Fake laugh hiding real pain.

I'm laughing at our roster right now. On the bright side a lottery pick is looking more realistic. Although I wouldn't match this, as of today this roster wouldn't scare most college teams.

Lol actually I'm excited... If we win we win because most won't expect us to do much ala Miami and if we lose like the tankers request we have multiple young pieces/assets to build and reconstruct around.I was more nervous with Ferry's moves on paper but I saw the grit team he was building and DMC and of course Paul were even better than expected. Only thing I'm semi nervous about is if we get THJ back or not and even then looking at Schlenk's moves and knowing Bud and our coaching staffs development/coaching skills I'm honestly not worried.
Well it looks like we are losing THJ. And if you think Bembry is the second coming of Dr. J I want whatever you are on.

If you ask them enough times they just might throw in a 1st. Seriously though it'd have to be a second and some dough. Their roster is horrendous.
To be fair ours is awful. But I'm not sure they want to give up picks. But anything is possible.

Let's see. Schlenk is from Kansas. The Hawks used to be in St. Louis....I think I figured out the plan.

Al was an great as a team defender as a rookie, also a good passer.
Collins isn't a defender and not sure what his passing skills are like.
He averaged less than 1 assist per game this season. I read some pre draft thing on him that said he turns over the ball a lot due to his passing.
He wouldn't just say this....

He would push this team over 30 wins and we can't have that. Haha
