I remember when I was a young whippersnapper on the Squawk trying to tell people to stay positive....once you hit about 100 posts you'll realize it's useless and better to just ignore it.

I don't mind criticizing as long as it's productive and in the best interests of the team.  Rather than just saying blanket statements like...

Did u try to tell hotlanta to stay positive when u were still new in hawksquawk? lol

I really think Hotlanta just enjoy posting negative comments/start arguments here in the forum and chat..

I know we were all frustrated by this game tonight, but how about some support for our team?  I hate reading all the negativity after a tough loss, especially one with so  many lopsided calls.  Believe in this team!

i feel like its the same person, just new made a new squawker account lol..

An old auto joke, before fuel injection, they had carburetors:

You've got an old car.  what's wrong with it?

    The carburetor won't carb.

    The spark plugs won't spark.

The pistons don't work right either.

Hopefully, these Pistons won't work right tonight!

    GO ATL HAWKS !!

    good one lol

  4. Not a good win, but a great win!

Even though i didnt get to watch the whole full game, only parts by parts, was watching spurs vs warriors game at the same time. Im really happy to see how hawks competed really hard against a really talented team. Proud of the hawks how they competed tonight. That's what it takes to beat tough, talented teams. No matter how good your opponents are,you have to you give your 100% percent  and compete win or lose.

Great team win against a really good team

  5. Humpries is more versatile player  compared to Splitter. He can shoot mid range shots and 3 pointer, he fits in the system in really well. Splitter has more size, a good passer, and always active on setting screens. I like both of them but i will take Humphries just because he is more versatile, knowing the he can shoot 3s, he can space the floor  and open up lanes for Hawks point guards to maneuver and attack the paint.

  6. Good win

Hawks great defense has been really consistent, and their offense showing  some improvements since Humphries came in the team. He really help Hawks with the rebounding, and he's contributing in the offensive end with his mid range shots, he's a good shooter and fits in Bud's system really well.

Teague did a great job controlling the hawks offense once again, and Dennis/baze are always aggressive. Sap/horf did a great job setting screens, helping on board and defense. Thabo defense was really good. Korver team defense was good.

Hawks showing a lot of good signs, i think when they got humphries, their confidence came back knowing that they have now a good solid backup big.

Looking forward to next game against toronto.

    Let's go Hawks!!!

  7. Great win

Defense was on point, and in offensive end hawks executed well

Teague is not really a vocal leader but when he plays it speaks it for itself. Korver made his 3s, Baze/Dennis were really aggresive, Humpries doing his job as backup big, Sap/hord were locked in and focus, great team win against a really good clippers team

It's a trade for Melo since he's already signed.

oh i forgot its a trade sorry lol, thanks for pointing that out, well knicks do need a good point guard, So trading teague/ plus picks for Melo could happen, but im not leaning on that, i think Melo will stay with the Knicks

He can shoot, we need that. Passes well, boards. He'd fit fine I think.

Im not against signing Melo, but if it works i would be happy but i still see it really hard to see him going to hawks.. i think he will stay with the knicks or sign with contending teams, but there's still a possibility/chance that Hawks can lure Melo because hawks have teague, sap, horford, dennis, thabo, so on so on..  if he's interested it could happen

I honestly think Melo is a somewhat realistic option, particularly if we have a good showing in the playoffs. The Clippers have nothing, the Bulls might miss the playoffs, Cavs don't have much the Knicks. Our competition would be the Celtics who have more to offer and possiby the Raptors, but ultimately it's up to Melo and I think he might like playing with Sap + Horford over those other options. Teague + a couple of picks is about as good as they could get from a playoff team Melo would like sans Boston.

Melo will sign with the hawks? that's hard to see... but you have a point  about Melo playing with teague, sap, horford, thabo, dennis, and so on.. the only problem is i dont know if he will fit in Bud's system, he usually do isos a lot, but again they need a "go to guy" which  will do isos in critical situations

Well Dwight not being a Superstar anymore is your opinion and I respect that but Howard is still a star player to many including myself except he gets it done without all the flash now and that's where I stand on Howard. Everything he did then can be done now with a lot less flash. He's not 2nd in rebounding and 1st in fg% by luck this season....harden has really diminished Howard limiting his number of touches offensively to avg 18-22 points a game and until Dwight leaves he will look like a player scoring wise who isn't capable of huge scoring nights anymore but we all know it's because of hardens high usage of always controlling the ball from start to finish.

Howard doesn't work with ball dominating SGs or perimeter players period who don't avg a high number of assist. Put Howard on a ball moving offense with 3pt shooters like the Hawks and he will flourish again.....oh and the back issues are bullshit! If his back is in that bad of shape and he's still capable of leading top 5 in rebounds and fg% it ain't that bad.

Bud need to seriously consider him this offseason.

Dwight is still dominant rebounder, I don't mind if hawks tried to get him but one thing i don't like about Dwight is his kiddy attitude..
