  1. Personally, think somehow exiting the early parts of the offseason with Alex Sarr and Mikal Bridges, if possible (if there’s truth behind Detroit being interested in #5 for mainly just Dejounte, reroute that pick to Brooklyn as others said earlier today), would be pretty good.

I guess if Alex Sarr doesn’t fit with Trae Young, then Trae Young doesn’t fit with Quin Snyder, and he needs to be traded and we just need to blow it up.

Which, I guess you can sort of see the point here. The most successful stretch in the Trae Young era was with Nate McMillan with him slowing down the offense. But that won’t be happening with Snyder, the offense will be playing faster, and the idea that Edey can fit in here is a big-time stretch (it is with Clingan a bit as well).

I wouldn’t be anticipating Sarr playing a major role offensively for 24/25, but any ideas that he’s not a 4/5 are fantastical. He is. But at this point, his only advantage outside of his defense would definitely be rim running.

  2. That Detroit rumor I saw on here is interesting if there's truth behind it.

If they'll give #5 for Murray, you 100% do it no question.

(to put something that's draft related haha, I definitely see Sarr as a combo 4/5, I don't see it on him being a "3" however)

  3. Decided to sign in here for the first time in a bit, having read some of the stuff about Edey.

I'd probably take him somewhere between 10-15, there's no way I'd take him 1st.

To me, if you're dreaming on him a bit, maybe he's Yao Ming with a workable jumper considering how he shoots free throws (although Ming was a pretty good free throw shooter with me taking a look). I'm not 100% sure that works in the NBA today, but considering how productive he was in college, he'll be going mid-first round.

There really isn't any chance he's discussed at all by the Hawks though.

  4. tbh, Trae wasn't terrible at deferring when Bogi was on his tear in 20/21. He was only taking about 18 shots per game.

I would absolutely look for his shots taken to drop again now, but I would imagine the deep three that frustrates many isn't fully going away (maybe enough go away to where he's a 40-41% three-point shooter, feel like he's a good enough catch and shooter to do it).

Feel like you could also easily see this (even though I've said I'd likely look for something like 17/6/6 or so from Murray), which would frustrate some unless we see a deep playoff run behind it as I know some would like to see more of an equal opportunity offense:

    Young: 24/8 on 46%/40%/90%

    Murray: 20/7/7 on 46%/33%/80%

Everyone else has role player type stats.

  5. Dejounte may be a PG, but I’d look for him to likely be the second option, he’s clearly highly skilled (honestly, you can see some Jamal Crawford in him, but he may play a lot better defense, while I’ve seen some Jamal highlights, idk how his defense was when he was younger).

For an idea of what I think he might be able to do…I’d say maybe 17/6/6?

So, I can see Collins being frustrated. He’s been a 20/10 guy previously and likely feels like he can still do that, but he likely won’t be able to show that off as he’s likely the third option.

Having said that, he shouldn’t be traded unless you get a really good player in the deal.

  6. Thought the game started pretty well, so that was really disappointing.

I do have to think that Trae is more hurt than let on. It may not have worked in previous games, but he was at least trying to force the issue and drive in what I saw. This game...not at all after the ankle injury, and there were times where he wasn't even bringing up the ball.

So, this season most likely ends with all 3 of the top 3 guys hurt...fitting considering what happened back in December with Omicron.
