  1. You're right. I started a write up on ((RE-DIC-TED!)), but I just couldn't pass on KK.
  2. With the 49th pick in the Dynasty Draft, HopefulHawksFan’s select… Kyle Korver At 35, Kyle Korver may not seem like a likely pick for starting SG. Many said last season his age finally caught up to him. However, after the offseason surgeries and inability to work out over the summer (something that is extremely important to his game), last season was not really about his age. Korver has shot nearly 43% from behind the arc for his career. If you remove the month of December from his three point attempts, his overall percentage for last year jumps from 39.8% to 42.5%. After the ASB, Korver’s +/- was +312. Only Curry, Green, and Thompson had a better +/- during that time. I expect this year we will see Kyle bounce back and once again lead the league in 3 point percentage. On a team with a strong center like Whiteside, Korver should find it easier to get open looks. The experience and leadership he brings to the team will be a huge asset for the future. As I said...this is an emotional pick. I can't face going through two more rounds and seeing someone else take KK from me. Don't judge me...I am a woman...I have needs. @Buzzard is up. PM Sent.
  3. Next pick coming around 12:30...I'm thinking it's going to be an emotional rather than rational pick.
  4. With the 48th pick in the Dynasty Draft, HopefulHawksFan’s select… Nikola Jokic The 21-year-old big man from Serbia finished third in the rookie of the year voting this past season and four days ago was named MVP of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, leading the Serbian national team to the 2016 Olympics with a 23 point, eight rebounds, and six assist performance in the championship game. Among players with at least 250 touches in the post last season,Jokic landed in the top 25 in field goal percentage on post attempts, and of those 25 players, he had the fifth-highest assist total in the post. Jokic averaged 16.5 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in 10 games when he played 30-plus minutes. Putting him in a starting role will only allow him to shine.
  5. I'm around most of the day today (While at work. Don't tell anyone!). I now have to decide what direction I want to go in...
  6. Between this and the Gallinari pick, all my dreams are shattered...
  7. This is true...but at least you have the silver lining of the first pick.
  8. This completely sucks...I'm so sick of everybody getting my picks. Being last is the WORST!!!! Sorry...had to vent. Nice pick by the way. Would love to see him in ATL.
  9. With the 17th pick in the draft, the HopefulHawksFan’s choose…. Kyrie Irving At only 24 years old, Kyrie's growth as a player and a professional is clear. In the 2016 NBA Finals Irving averaged 27.1 points and shot 40.5 percent from 3-point range for the series. He scored 90 points over the Cavs' last three games. His calm, collected demeanor will provide the leadership this team needs at the point. He's a clutch player who shows up when it matters most (i.e. Game 7). Welcome to the team Uncle Drew! @Buzzard is on the clock! How's that for a draft newbie?
  10. With the 16th pick in the draft, the HopefulHawksFan’s choose…. Hassan Whiteside Whiteside averaged 14.2 points, 11.8 rebounds and a league-leading 3.7 blocks per game last season. At his best, Whiteside roams the paint, blocking shots when his team’s perimeter defense breaks down, and forces shooters to second guess when entering the paint. Whiteside’s presence deters teams from attacking the rim. We feel he will the anchoring center this team needs.
  11. This last place pick is pretty painful. People at work are wondering why I keep randomly saying "Damn it!"
  12. Another female squawker here! I will post something a little more entertaining for us ladies...
  13. I have last pick and I'm watching this so closely! No wonder there's concern over people dropping out. It will be a week before I get to make my first pick!
  14. I'm excited! Let's get this thing going!
  15. Maybe there was too much estrogen...or maybe we are attracted to the sudden influx of testosterone on this team! I, for one, can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming season!
  16. I totally agree. I had to explain to my husband that you can't believe everything you read. This is just one writer's opinion and he probably had nothing else to write about.
  17. Having a conversation with my husband about this article. Just wanted to get opinions from Squawkers on this. I personally don't agree, but I'm interested to hear what others think. http://www.sbnation.com/2016/7/15/12200212/atlanta-hawks-dennis-Schröder-dwight-howard-chemistry-nba
  18. Interested...sounds pretty intense. How time consuming is it?
  19. Who do you think tells him to take the posts down? Just curious.
  20. The grammar in the Twitter and Instagram posts are proof...
  21. This is the same Instagram account that he's been posting from and it's being followed by all of his teammates, so I feel pretty certain this is Jeff Teague's real Instagram.
