  1. I didn't see the game last night against the Bobbies but it looks as if Chillz had a hell of a game. I would love to hear form someone who actually saw the game. He has proven to be an incredible reb. I won't even say for a sg because there are many cneters who don't reb as well as he does. I would like to know how he scored last night?

I think we should all be very happy that we have billy knight. He has done a wonderful job since he has been here. I have no doubts that we will be competing for the eastern crown in 2 or 3 yrs. The next 2 drafts will tell the story. If he does as well as he did this yr then we will be attractive to free agents. Guys will take notice and want to come here. I am hoping for a Howard-Smith reunion in a couple of yrs.

  2. I have no doubt that BK will make a deal in the draft to move down (IF we get #1) to get Deron Williams and then go after Dalembert in FA. We all know BK likes long athletic players and a 6'3" pg would be right up his alley. Personally I would be extremely happy if this is our future.

    Williams/Lue or Ivey

    Chillz/Diaw

    Jsmoove/Donta

    Al/Googs

    Dally/Drobs

Much better defensive team than we currently have. We still don't have a pure shooter yet but this is a good base to continue our rebuilding process. As much as I like Chillz I believe we will need to get a sharpshooter at sg if we are going to contend for a title.

  3. how much we may want him or not. He is staying at NC for his sr. yr. He has already sid he is coming back. As a NC fan I hope he stays true to his word and returns. I still think we should trade down a spot or 2 and select deron williams. Please do not take Felton. This guy turns the ball over too much and makes dumb decisions.

  4. I have been very impressed w/ Deron. I think he would be a better pick for us than Bogut. Especially if we could trade down and pick up more picks in doing so. There are a few bigs available in fa so it makes no sense for us to draft big instead of going for a guy like dalmebert. I think getting a guy like williams who can distribute and defend is a no brainer.

  5. I believe it was you leading the charge when we traded sar and ratliff that it was a dumb decision to trade them away instead of keeping them and trying to get into the playoffs. Then you blasted those of us who were actually hoping we would lose to better our draft position. I can't understand how you would be content w/ mediocrity. I for 1 am willing to wait for this team to be built to win championships not just to get ino the playoffs.

Now you are mad because we traded a guy that was not going to be here next yr and was taking minutes away form our young guys that need PT. You would rather keep aw and let jsmith et al ride the pine while we watch AW put up shot after shot after shot and we still lose. where is the genious in that? Use your head for something other than a hat-rack and try to understand that we ahve to sacrifice a few yrs to achieve the ultimate goal of winning a championship.

  6. This guy has really impressed me this yr. It seems as if every big game carolina has he steps up and gets 20/15. If we did somehow manage to get the 2nd 1st this yr we should take a serious look at landing may.

  7. If we are trying so hard to get him then we must be thinking about going w/ a pg in the draft. If we signed dalmebert there would be no reason to draft bogut. I guess this is prolly the best course of action since there are no great pg in this yrs free agent class. I think this is a very smart move by the hawks. we get Dalembert and we have a starting 5 for next season. Not a contencer by any means but a team to develope and we still have tons of cash to throw around.

    PG-Draft

    SG-Childress, Diaw

    SF-JSmoove, Donta

    PF-Harrington

    C-Dalmebert, Drobs

Not a bad core group there. Not sure I am sold on Harrington yet but he is a nice tradeable piece. I am ahppy about the dircetion of the Hawks. I am however wishing we would have drafted Gordon last yr. Although, i have to admit that i would have been upset at the time because I sure didn't think he would contribute like he has so far.

  8. I wonder if the Nets would be at all interested in trading for Walker or Harrington? Their team would look pretty damn good w/ the addition of a pf like AL or Toine. I don't know where to find out about player contracts so I don't know what combination of players it would take to even out the salaries. Anyone know?

  9. Are you kidding me? Any coach in the league would kill to have a weapon like vick at qb. Chillz makes a very good pt. A qb can't win games by himself. The falcons still have a few holes to fill before we can be super bowl champs. As we have seen all yr we need help on o-line. we also need some help at cb. Our linebackers and d-line look pretty good as does the qb and rb spots. that leaves db's and wr's and o-line as need spots. I think we might also try to upgrade the kicker position. feeley is aweful. I would love to get our hands on nugent. McKay will fill these holes this offseason and we will be right back in the nfc titlew game next yr.

The falcons are ahead of where I thought they would be this yr. I thought that they might make the playoffs but I never dreamed they would go all the way to the title game. I am very pleased w/ this franchise and I feel very confident that we will win a super bowl or 2 before vick leaves atl.

  10. As much as I hate what he did and the way he has carried himself over the yrs, I would love to see he and JSmoove together on the court. Our lineup would feature 3 sf though. We would have to draft a sharp shooting pg next yr. I like Pollard as well. he is a hrad worker down low which is something we need. Would make us a much deeper team.

    Paul? Jack? Ivey

    Artest, Jchill, Delk?

    JSmoove, Donta

    AL, Pollard

    Drobs, Collier

Heres a nice thought. We trade AL to the sixers for dalembert and then go out and sign Ray Allen. I think Allen would have to seriously consider playing here if we made these moves. We would instantly be considered a favorite in the east.

    Paul or jack, Delk, Ivey

    Allen, jchill

    Artest, Donta

    JSmoove, Pollard

Dalembert, Drobs, Collier(we keep him around for hack a shaq)

I believe these moves are not over the top. They are do-able. We still would have some room left unde the cap to sign a vet bu sf. Thoughts?

  11. Before phill's 1st td we had them stopped on 3rd down and stupid penalty on the other side of the filed gives them 1st down adn they score a few plays later. 2nd td they ahd Mcnabb dead to rights in the pocket for what looked like a sack to force a punt on 4th down but he somehow escapes and they score again 2 plays later. 3rd score Scott had an interception but drops it and they get the 3 pts. If we had made those plays we win the game, or at least it is closer down the stretch. I am not complaing because thats the breaks of the game but just making a pt that the falcons actually could have won that game even w/ vick struggling. Philly would have been in panic mode had they been stopped all those times and gone into 2nd half trailing. all in all it was a great yr for our falcons and the next few yrs look very promising for them. Rich Mckay will do a great job in the draft and free agency and we will be back on top next yr ready to challenge for another super bowl appearence.

  12. I wonder if there would be any chance of getting another lotto pick by trading Harrington. It would be nice to get a PG and a center in this yrs draft. maybe Paul and Randolph Morris. Whatever we do I hope and pray we come out of this draft w/ either Paul, Felton or 1 of the top pgs.

  13. I believe our roster will fill out like so--

    PG-Paul, Delk, Ivey

    SG-Childress, Diaw

    SF-Harrington, JSmith, DSmith

    PF-Swift

    C-Collier

I think the 4 and 5 spot will be filled temporarily by trading walker at midseason. As everyone keeps saying maybe to philly for dalembert or maybe to chitown for Curry or Chandler. I would bet my life that we end up w/ Paul, as long as the lottery works out in our favor. I also feel very confident that Swift would like to come here so he could play more at the PF spot. I think our main objective is to secure a top notch PG. How long as it been since we actually had one? I think the above group could make a move to get into the playoffs. How deep could they go? who knows but in the east anythings possible.

  14. 6'11" 260 pds. Sounds good to me if he can develope in his frist yr at kentucky. Fills a HUGE need for us. I would rather find a vet pg that can teach these young guys and put them in positions to succeed. Its still early but as it stands right now it looks as if we will have the #1 pick(unless balls don't bounce our way). I am excited about the future of this team. We have some nice peices right now in the 2 josh's. Ivey has also looked surprisingly good(given his draft position). I thnk we are on the right track here. I just hope we stay the course and don't get ahead of ourselves and start throwing money at guys too soon. If it takes us 3 yrs to build a winner so be it.

  15. Hope everyone has had a nice summer. I have kept myself busy coaching a semi=pro football team here in americus. We lost a tough game last weekend to the Atlanta Aggression. Anyone here know someone on that team? If not, anyone living in the atlanta or jonesboro area should try to make it out to their games. All of our league games are exciting.

OK, now to the Hawks. I like the signing of willis, Barry and anderson. We need some vets around to teach these young guys how to win. I like that these guys are good character guys that aren't going to make waves. I just read an article on espn insider that was talking about next yrs draft. The "experts" are saying that it will be a very weak draft. the good thing is that the good players are pg and big men. Its still early and someone may really step it up but for now it looks as if we will need to bring in a fa if we want to improve our roster for next yr.

  16. I agree that he would be a GREAT signing. Maybe not for the long term but we are a team that needs talented players, period. With those players we can trade them or keep them if they work out well for us. win/win situation for us. Sign him immdeiately.
